Repeat of girls only vacation at Bella Vista. Had another great time. Enjoyed ourselves as much this year as last year. House is great, and location is perfect. Have made reservations for summer 2010.

Great views, incredibly well-appointed cabin
Great views, incredibly well-appointed cabin
My partner and I (and dogs) stayed here for a few nights during the winter. The views from the cabin are spectacular; I'd be interested in seeing them in the summer and the fall. The cabin is cute, extremely clean, and unlike most rental houses I've stayed in, has many of the little necessities that you normally have to scurry to the grocery store to purchase. We used the cabin as a base to tour Asheville daily (about 30 minutes away)... we didn't tour Maggie Valley much, but there seems to be things to do in the Winter, and lots to do in the summer. Our highlight of the trip was hanging out in the hot tub as the snow was falling...unique experience.... The owner was easy to deal with, and was interested to make sure we had a good time.

We are so impressed with the Bella Vista. The home was adorable and included EVERYTHING you could possibly need. It truly felt like home away from home. Lisa has provided so many different wonderful touches to make this home one of a kind. Some examples include a cozy decorated home, a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, linens and a hot tub. Our favorite part about the home was waking up each morning and admiring the beautiful mountain view from our own bed (master room). WOW... this was such a beautiful treat for us Florida people. At night, we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and gazing at the stars around us. It was so hard to leave the house and say 'goodbye'. Lisa - your home is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us. :)

Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind review. I want the cabin to feel like a "home away from home" and try to accommodate my guest in anyway. I hope you fine the perfect cabin to purchase, and if not, Bella Vista will always welcome you back! Best of luck!

Fantastic cabin in a beautiful area. The interior is much larger than the photos indicate and the interior has great upgrades including a fantastic kitchen. The view also cannot be recreated with photos and is incredible, especially at night when you can look across the valley and see the lights of the houses on the next mountain. Everything you need is close by. Nearby waynesville is only 5 minutes down the road and has a great grocery store (Ingles) and fast food, etc.. We visited Asheville and toured the Biltmore Estate, went snow tubing in Hendersonville, visited Grandfather Mountain and Linville Caverns in Linville, went to Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, and Cherokee. Enjoy the fireplace, the hot tub, and the beautiful birds you can attract with the feeders on the porch.

Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind review. I try to think of everything and have stocked the cabin with everything I would need if I were renting it. I agree that the cabin is centrally located to many activities in the surrounding area. Having a nice hot tub waiting for you when you get back home every evening makes it even better. I hope you return again. Lisa
We have enjoyed this vacation beyond our wildest dreams. Lisa has thought of everything and I mean EVERYTHING! The house is immaculate and the views are astonishing. Wifi and sat tv are perfect. You only need your clothes, tooth brush, and golf clubs! There is a fine grocery store nearby called Ingles to get food and there are many great restaurants all reasonable priced! It's been in the high 50s overnight and 80s during the daytime. Super change from the Florida heat. We will definitely return as we consider Lisa a friend now!! Book early cause this place will go fast.

Our experience at Bella Vista was a wonderful experience. The cottage was well equipped and very clean. The view from the deck is especially beautiful in the morning. All activities were conveniently located and local people were very courteous and helpful. I would recommend to anyone planning a vacation in the Smoky Mountains.

this cabin really was just Perfect!!
this cabin really was just Perfect!!
The house was clean and had everything we needed and the info Lisa provided for dining and supplies was so helpful. The cabin really did have everything we could want and was just as it looks and is described on the website. I LOVED that it was dog friendly. Scout loved sleeping in bed with us just like she does at home & dozing on the chair in front of the fireplace. it meant the world that she could really relax and be on vacation with us. Someplaces say they're pet friendly, but the pets aren't allowed on the furniture, have to stay outside, etc. This place was very pet friendly & just what we were looking for. We were here for our honeymoon and have already talked about returning, either for another romantic getaway or with family and friends. I especially Loved the hot tub. it was so easy to use, we were in it a couple of times each day. And the Sleep Number bed was such a treat! We played some of the board and card games provided as we sat in front of the fireplace and we both enjoyed the books and magazines in the cabin. We thought we might venture out more but in the end just really enjoyed our borrowed home in this lovely town. We did go to Ashville one day and loved eating at 12 Bones BBQ (voted best BBQ in the nation by Good morning America.) Also, the used bookstore in Maggie Valley is a must for book lovers. SO many books they were literally PILED in front of shelves. Neat experience and we left with some new books. There were lots of places to go horseback riding in the area too. Simply put, you get more than you pay for, it's beautiful and has all the amenites and we'd love to come back.

There are many wonderful things we could say about Bella Vista. The view of the mountains was breathtaking, the house was exceptional very clean and well maintained inside and out, the house was totally stocked with everything we needed. The area was very special the friendlist little town we've seen in awhile. We had such an awesome time and the golf courses are beautiful unlike any we have played before. I recommend this home to anyone looking for peace and serenity.

The house was clean and well-appointed. The owner did an excellent job of preparing me by sending a list of supplies I might need (like soap, paper towels, etc), maps, restaurant listings, and other general information about the house and the area. I'm glad I had the supplies just in case, but I did not need most of them, as they were provided. There is about everything you could want in the kitchen. The owner also provided menus from local restaurants, which was very helpful when we wanted to go out to eat. The gas grill on the deck was very nice, and even has a side burner you can use for other cooking if you don't want to heat up the inside of the house. We used it to saute mushrooms to go on top of the steaks we cooked on the grill. They have a big hot tub on the deck, but we chose not to use it - it was the middle of the summer after all. So I can't comment much on the hot tub. The view from the deck is awesome, and we ate out there most nights and breakfasts. The beds and bathrooms were clean. The only down side we had was there was no air conditioning. We knew that of course, but at 3500 ft, we thought it would be a little cooler. We were there on one of the hottest weeks of the summer, and it generally did not get much above low 80's, but still - inside a house, that can be warm. On the upside, there were ceiling fans in every room and an extra floor fan. If I were renting in the middle of the summer again, I would take a couple more floor fans with me. Overall, I would highly recommend this house for vacation. We hope to go there again! Oh and for older folks - there are hardly any steps to deal with.

Owner response: Linda, We did have a week of unseasonable hot temperatures. For the past 10 years we have been booked for the entire summer months and have never had anyone have an issue with the unseasonably warm weather so after reading your review, we immediately went out and purchased additional floor fans for the cabin. Thank you so much and we hope to accomodate you again in the future.
This is our second visit to Bella Vista, our first being in November of 2010. This time we decided to visit in the spring....what a beautiful time of the year in the mountains. We saw new life everywhere...flowers, plants, shrubs and wild life that we had not seen or heard in the fall. My favorite being, after my year round favorite the birds, the chipmunks. The weather was beautiful and it was a pleasure to sit on the deck and listen to the birds sing and nothing else.....The evenings were cool and the days warm and sunny. Keith and Lisa, as always, saw that everything we could possibly need was in the "HOME AWAY FROM HOME" The house is immaculate and all amenities are in place...We will try to return earlier in the fall next year to see the leaves...Thanks Keith and Lisa for sharing with us.
