Nob Hill Studios is is wonderful place to stay while in ABQ. It has a great space with all the amenities you could possibly desire ... TV, WiFi, kitchen, washer/dryer and awesome bath facilities. Not too far from I25 and in a walkable area along the old Rte 66 with some great architecture and neon signs. While you probably will have a car, if you chose not to drive the local Rapid Ride offers an alternative to helping you get around ABQ. Nob Hill itself is a funky neighborhood with lots of restaurant choices and interesting stores to visit. Having Bailey's right there is also convenient if you have had a long day and don't want to venture too far.
Owner response:Thanks for taking time to review the Studio. You have worded it so well. We are pleased with the convenience of our location to various parts of the city and especially proud of being in historic Nob Hill. We make sure the amenities are up to date to ensure our guests' stays are as self sufficient as possible. Should you return, we offer a 10% discount on rates for return guests.

Wonderful set up. This studio is fully equipped (you can easily cook full meals, even bake if you want), and close to lots of amenities. It's very comfortably designed, with good space for working or for relaxing. Fast wired Internet access is a bonus. Feels like home (with better design!).
Owner response:Thanks so much for choosing the Studios and taking time to write a review. Thanks for leaving the space so clean upon your departure. We would welcome you as a return guest and offer you a 10% discount on the room rates.

the studio has everything you need to basically to live, breathe and eat and in a very beautiful space, i.e. color, wood floors, decor that exudes good energy, stainless steel appliances, a big space and big bathroom with very nice tile job and sophisticated hardware. the studio provided all the needs of my husband and i. we also need an ambient space and the studio provided a very happy energy. the downstairs restaurant is basically a very quiet place, and the management is there to provide to the studio clients. there was a light on the hallway bringing light into the studio and we asked them to turn it off and they immediately accommodated us. the patio on top of the building is a very nice spot to relax with a 360 view of albuquerque, which is very nice with the sandia mts. and the mesa sunsets. my only issue, was, that, I needed a wider bed because I am tall. the bed is not quite a queen but also not as small as a double. when you walk into this space, to work, vacation, or both you are in the right place. very high quality restuarants and shopping out the front door. have fun!
Owner response:Thanks for the great review...put so poetically. It was a pleasure having you here. Please keep us in mind on your return visits to Albuquerque. There is a 10% discount on repeat guests. So sorry the bed was an issue for you... it is, however, a standard queen mattress, that uses queen sheets, so not sure how that could be corrected without replacing the bed to a king size. Thanks again for staying at the Studios Nob Hill

Although it was a family loss that ultimately had us visiting Albuquerque, we had a wonderful, comfortable stay at the Nob Hill Studio. Upon arrival, Gaye was very helpful in showing the studio, which was clean, tastefully artistic, and completely inviting. If I could go back about 12 years to when I was single and without children, this would have been the place the live! As I'm married with two children, one an infant, the room was the perfect space for us. Our young daughter setup in the pull-out twin, we took the queen bed, and our infant son had his sleeper by the bed. It was so convenient to have the dishwasher there for washing bottles along with the nice dishes provided, and the washer and dryer was a must with the kids (and made for a nice travel home with clean clothes). The one thing we would suggest with the washer is to maybe run a bleach wash occasionally. We have a front load at home and have the same issue with mildew wanting to grow in the lining, so we run a bleach wash and try to leave the door open as much as possible to get air flow in between washes. Other than that, the bathroom was exceptional with the pebble floor that felt like a foot massage. We also loved the fact that there were plenty of clean, soft linens and towels as well as cleaning products. And, we're not talking cheap cleaning products--they were essentially the same we use at home. So, all in all, we felt like the studio was a home away from home, and it was a perfect base to walk down the street to our favorite pizza place, Il Vicino, and eat gellato next door. Bailey's at the Beach, the cafe under the studios, is also excellent (try the fish tacos) and the staff was so friendly. We will return, we hope soon, and next time we'll try to have some family stay in the adjacent studios. Thanks, Gaye!
Owner response:Thanks for the great review and for taking such great care of the Studio while you were here. We will definitely do as you suggest on the washer; a great idea. Please do return and we would love to have 3 of the Studios booked for your extended family. Happy Travels wherever you go.

I visited Albuquerque for the first time. Our experience here started off wonderfully as we came to our studio apartment above a casual restaurant in the Nob Hill neighborhood of Albuquerque. The studio was clean, inviting, fresh with bright colors of the Southwest. We met the owner/designer and the intake was cordial and without a hitch. I loved this apartment! We used the hide-a -bed in the love seat as well as the queen bed - there were ample blankets, towels, sheets. The fireplace made the place snug on short notice if you didn't want to have the heat turned up all the time (it is February). Everything was presented with that extra touch without being precious. The restaurant downstairs is lively, with some great food, and they deliver to the studio - we had coffee and breakfast brought up one morning without complaint. The neighborhood is easy to get to from the airport and is right near the university. The main street Central, less than a block away from the studio, is full of restaurants, vintage clothing stores, art and antique furniture stores, and was safe to walk down at night. Lot of activity, lots of buzz. We listened to live music at a venue in a restaurant less than two blocks from the studio. There was ample parking and you get a sticker for overnight parking in the lot adjacent to the studio. I would definitely rent this space again anytime I go to Albuquerque and I had enough fun that I might just make up reasons to go there again, and the studio was the cornerstone of the experience.
Owner response:So well written and poetic. Thanks for taking the time to review and most of all thanks for choosing the Studio for your accommodation. We enjoyed meeting you and hope you will come back to us and to Albuquerque. Gaye

We stayed at Studios Nob Hill for a week. It is just as represented--and more. Gaye has thought of every detail. The kitchen was well stocked. We appreciated the extra paper towels, plenty of glasses, sugar and salt, espresso maker, Britta water filter...and the dishwasher was easy to operate. Also there is a hair dryer and a washer-dryer, AND plenty of extra towels in the closet. Loved the fireplace. The bed was quite comfortable. Everything was sparkling clean. The location is perfect for exploring Nob Hill's many shops and restaurants, as well as the University. If you do have a car, free parking is provided, which is important in this area. You can also stroll to the north and enjoy the lovely residential neighborhood.
Owner response:Thanks so much for the great review. Please keep us in mind for return trips to Albuquerque. Your input is much appreciated. Have a marvelous New Year! Gaye

A real God send. Wonderful location. Very well furnished with everything I needed to settle in straight away for my 5 week work visit. Kitchen was wonderful and had all amenities and kitchenware to live very comfortably. Bathroom fantastic. Internet very fast and reliable which is key for business. Welcome pack was a very nice touch too. Will be back
Owner response:Please do return. We try to furnish the Studio so that it is good for extended stays. It was a delight to have you here. Good luck with your projects. Gaye

Accomodations were way above average. The design elements in the studio are just too much fun. The nearby Central Avenue are numberous and varied. The on-site eatery was appreciated and the 3rd floor patio was an enjoyable get-a-way
Owner response:The cafe's convenience for our guests is much appreciated. I am glad you had a chance to take advantage of it. Thanks for taking time for a review. Please return, Gaye

We stayed at this rental for three nights and could happily have stayed for a month. The rental was exactly as described and shown in the VRBO listing -- and more! We were amazed at all the tiny details Gaye had thought of to make the rental experience more enjoyable, starting with coffee, wine, chocolates and other treats to greet us when we arrived. Very comfortable bed, great bathroom, good quality appliances and beautiful original artwork. The location is perfect for sightseeing, shopping, and eating, although we also cooked at home. Good bus service right outside the door means that you don't have to have a car, although there is a parking spot right outside the rental if you do have a car. Gaye could not have been more helpful, even offering to order food in for us because of our late arrival in Albuquerque. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else if we ever return to Albuquerque.
Owner response:Thanks so much for the great review and we would love for you to return in the future. Enjoy all of your travels, Gaye

We are frequent users of VRBO properties and have had great experiences. Gaye and her Nob Hill studios have taken this to another level. She was responsive to our initial requests and met us at the studio apartment when we got into town. She gave us a nice warm welcome, a tour of the studio, explaining the amenities and even left us a bottle of wine, chips, salsa and chocolates. The pictures don’t give a real sense of now nice the studio really is. It was very clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. The location is centrally located in Albuquerque, allowing for a great time. The studio makes a trip to Albuquerque much more enjoyable and relaxing than a standard hotel. There is no doubt that on our next trip to Albuquerque we will be staying at Nob Hill Studios. Thanks Gaye for making our trip a memorable one, your place is awesome, awesome, awesome!
Owner response:The two of you were great to have. Loved your enthusiasm and the desire to explore Albuquerque. Should you return....it is a 10% for return guests in addition to your military discount. Thanks for the AWESOME review. Gaye

This was our 2nd time to stay here. It's a real home from home experience and guess that's why we like it. It works well with our 3yr old daughter too. The area is lovely. Beautiful shops and restaurants are only a short stroll away which is really nice. I used a gym which was only a 2 mile drive away which the owners of this property recommend and can also assist with which was very good. All in all, a very positive experience using this property. You won't be disappointed..we were not.
Owner response:We enjoyed having you here as a return guest. It is an honor that you chose to come back to the Studios. We are including a complimentary visit to local gym in the amenities currently. Thanks again to your beautiful family. Return again and again.

I spent a weekend here and had a great time. While there is a great restaurant downstairs, and the great food smell waifs up, I most enjoyed the ability to walk to many great destinations. The location is close to the university. There are many fine dining choices within a few blocks as well night life with many night clubs just around the corner. The area has great shopping for trendy and unique items in the many boutiques and shops. The rental unit has all you need except the food. It has a well equipped kitchen with a coffee and an espresso maker. The walk in shower has a great pebble floor that seems to massage your soles and has a built in shampoo, conditioner and shower gel dispenser with a shaving mirror. The double bed was comfortable and the sheets were some of the softest I have felt. There is a flat screen TV with cable and a DVD if you just feel like staying in. The decor made me think of Santa Fe with it's use of colors and design. There is an electric fireplace that adds just the right ambiance. There is even a washer and dryer if you plan on staying a while. Overall, I had a great experience in a great location and I highly recommend this location if you plan on visiting Albuquerque!
Owner response:Thanks Michael for choosing to stay at the Studios. I am happy you noticed the details. We put a lot of thought into the effort of making it into a small ideal place to stay. Please consider us upon your return to Albuquerque and thanks for the great review. Gaye

My husband and I and his daughter and son-in-law rented two Nob Hill Studio apartments and were extremely impressed. All of the services and amenities were first class. It exceeded our expectations! The rooms were attractively decorated with all first class equipment. When we arrived, there were bottles of wine and chips and dips for us in our rooms. We would highly recommend Nob Hill Studio apartments to others and would certainly stay there again when coming back to Albuquerque, NM!
Owner response:Thanks for choosing the Studios for a common meeting place for your family. It is enjoyable to accommodate family members in more than one of the Studios, since all three are conveniently placed on one floor but all with their own kitchens and laundry facilities. Return next time you are in Albuquerque...repeat guests receive a 10% discount. Thanks again. Gaye

When we arrived we were met by Gaye and give the full rundown on the place. Gaye is very nice, helpful, and welcoming. You can tell that she wants your stay to be very enjoyable and she is there to make sure that happens. The unit has all the comforts of home; full cable, sitting room, electronic fireplace, private patio, kitchen, in room laundry facilities. The unit also has all the comorts of a hotel including welcome gifts and room service from the restaurant downstairs. Right outside your front door is a neighborhood with numerous boutiques, restaurants and bars. Great location to stay. I will not hesitate to stay there again during my next trip to Alburquerque. I was incredibly pleased with the entire stay.
Owner response:Thanks so much for the great review. You pretty much said that the Studios are like we intended. Please do return next time you're in Albuquerque. We will treat you well, time after time. Warmly, Gaye

These studios are perfect! They are charming, eclectic and at the same time homey. The location on Hwy 66 is great for walking around Nob Hill where you find excellent dining opportunities, fun shopping and easy access to public transportation. The owner (Gaye) is extremely gracious and provided a comfortable and tasteful home away from home. We even cooked our Thanksgiving dinner in the nicely organized and well equipped kitchen. Included were nice amenities like coffee, chips and salsa from local suppliers. We had a wonderful time and will look forward to going back!
Owner response:Thanks so much for your kind review. We enjoyed having you here over the holiday and appreciate so much the way you left the Studio immaculate. Please do return....a good bottle of wine will be waiting for you. Warmly, Gaye

The Nob Hill Studio was delightful. I loved the colorful decor, the warm ambience, the comfort of so many details provided. The rooftop provides a breath taking view of the Sandia Mts. during the day, beautful sunsets in twilight, and a sky of stars overlooking the city's night lights in the evening. Best of all, Gaye and Roger are eager hosts and provide such hospitality. Bailey's has delicious, inexpensive breakfasts that can be enjoyed on the rooftop or in the restaurant. My short stay at such a restful place right by the University and the shops of Nob Hill brought a sense of joy and peace after a stint of caregiving.
Owner response:Thanks so much for your "poetic" words. We loved having you here and appreciate your positive appreciation for what we created here and its details. Thanks again and please do revisit us. Gaye

We stayed at Nob Hill Studios for three nights in October 2010. We had been to Albuquerque several times, but never found accommodations that were really optimal for us in terms of location and amenities. We did discover the Nob Hill neighborhood on our last visit, but there were very few tourist accommodations in the area, despite its proximity to the UNM campus. It's a terrific location. When we saw the Nob Hill Studios listed on VRBO, we contacted Gaye who was very helpful and accommodating in helping us arrange our stay. Upon our arrival, we were somewhat surprised to find the studios to be located on the second floor of the building, above a restaurant. After meeting Gaye and seeing the studio, we settled in and found it to be a funky, tranquil oasis in a vibrant, urban neighborhood. We loved it! First of all, it is brand new, super clean and really cool - the decorating has a wonderful vibe. The unit was equipped with everything you might need for a self-sufficient stay and then some. The neighborhood has plenty of shopping and dining options easily within walking distance. We walked to all three dinner locations - wonderful food in the neighborhood, including the restaurant downstairs. No worries - the room was quiet and private. Gaye was helpful at every turn - she even found us some specific places to shop for clothes that are hard to find! We also like the fact that the location is central to the city, about equi-distant from Old Town and the Rio Grande Park to the west, and Elena Gallegos City Park and the Sandia Mountain wilderness and tramway to the east. And last but not least - we could hang out on the roof (shared with restaurant customers) and watch the sun set. We had a wonderful time and plan to return soon. Thanks again, Gaye, Roy, and all the Bailey's crew! We had a great stay!
Owner response:Thanks so much!!! You summarized the Studios and location...better than I have myself. We loved having you here and are glad you enjoyed your stay. Please return. Best wishes in all of your travels, Gaye

Love this place. Fun, artsy, clean and the perfect size. You all really thought out what is needed on a stay away; naming my favorites: feeling the stones at my feet while showering, brewing quality coffee, being able to do a little laundry, eating in or out, walking to so many wonderful little shops, cafes, galleries and even watching an artsy flick...all within a couple blocks. Thanks for making our stay artistic; in keeping with the creative neighborhood. We will be back.

What a great space. I felt like I was on top of the world with so many views from each side of the loft. The steam shower was great and I loved the feel of the pebble stones on my feet as showering. It was a dilemma deciding whether to stay inside at such a great place or go ahead and step out the front door to try all of the eclectic restaurants and shops of Nob Hill. I will be back. Thanks for your great hospitality.
