Nosara condo description
Villa Las Palmas is located on beautiful Playa Palada Beach our Condo is 100 yard walk (which is as close as you can build from the high water line)to the beach. The Condo has a fully equipped kitchen, linens, off street parking, washer & dryer. Maid service is available for a fee.
The grounds are landscaped to preserve the natural beauty of Costa Rica. The sunsets are spectacular from our beach. The wildlife abounds, colorful tropical birds, iguanas, howler monkeys provide a great introduction to Costa Rica.
The fishing is as good as it gets, I live on the west cost of Florida have a nice boat, but I live to fish in Costa Rica. I had a charter fishing business back in the late 90's and I can fix you up with one of the fishing captains that I know in Garza.

Nosara Costa Rica Beach Vacation
Nosara Costa Rica Beach Vacation
I have been lucky enought to vacation twice at this lovely secluded complex where the sunsets are fantastic and the fishing is even better! The pool, condo and laundry were all up to American standards (which is not the case in the rural Costa Rica). Seems there are now 2 Costa Ricas one for the rich turistas who don't mind spending up to $900. a night and for the rest of us the accomodations range from places where NO English is spoken and your valuables are Highly at risk! I had to laugh about the comments by the 2 women who were afraid of being victimized by banditos! The roads are safe but they are not paved and very rough in spots! There is a history in Costa Rica of the people and the government wanting to stop giving the country away to developers and such is the case with the roads around Nosara! The local Captain can get you offshore for about a 1/4 of the costs at Jaco(Los Suenos) down coast! My visits have been very enjoyable and the screens keep those little pests away. Yes there are bugs in the jungle. It does help to speak un poco de espanol!

WOW--I LOVED this place. It was just what I needed to get away from the rat race!. Everyone was laid back and friendly. The snorkling was a bit tough due to the tides going out or in. Go during slack tide. But talk about relaxing...If you want big time excitment in the form of big city..DO not come here ! The roads are not highways and your best bet is to fly into Nasar from San Jose. You will need a good sense of directions as the street signs are sparse. The pool at the Codo was super and seemed to be the gathering spot to meet other friendly guest. The food was good and the locals were helpful. Just go and RELAX!! Catch some fish too! Can't wait to go back!

My sister and I were excited about our trip to Costa Rica and the Condo, we thought, was going to help make our trip exceptional. Traveling towards Playa Samara we found the last 13 miles was what we deemed the "Road from Hell". Locals informed us that the road was preyed upon by bandits. Being two women this made us very uncomfortable. When we arrived to Nosara, it took another 2 hours to find the condo due to unclear and poor directions given by the owner. Finally arriving, we found that we were once again given the wrong code to the lock box by the owner. The property management was rude, and unwilling to assist us. The numbers we were given for the handy man went unanswered. Finally getting in after another hour, we found there was No A/C, half the ceiling fans did not work, half the lights did not have light bulbs, there was no TV/Radio, no paper products available, and zero reading lamps. We felt completely isolated. After dark there were no grounds lighting, other than porch lights which make the grounds unavailable. Not wanting to drive the Road from Hell at night, we stayed one night, and promptly left early the next morning. We do "NOT" recommend this property for a vacation rental.

Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: I lived in Nosara for 4 years in the late 90's,I fell in love with Costa Rica over 17 years ago, I have owned the condo on Palata Beach for 8 years. We spend about 2 months a year here. I own a Real Estate business in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Why the Owner Chose Nosara:
We love the area because of the remoteness which keeps it from getting too crowded with tourists, having grown up in Florida in the 40's & 50's it makes me think of a time you could go to the beach and be the only one there.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The sunsets at the beach are incredible.
