I have stay at Barefoot Resort before, and numberous other properties in MB and NMB, but this unit doesn't meet what I expect from an upscale property. Unit appreared not to have been rented for some time. Would not rent this condo again, until improvements are made. Upon arrival, things were dusty, cob webs around and in TV cabinets, kitchen disposal broken (fixed), toilet leaked (fixed), dirty linens. Unit is showing age. Furniture, carpet is showing it's ware and tear. Was not told until check in that the Barefoot bridge was out and would be out for our entire stay. Feel like I should have been forwarned where I could have made the decision to look for something much more convient. Long trip around every day .Have been coming to MB for a long time. Love MB, the shows/entertainment is great, shopping is great, golfing is unbelievably great. And will be back, just not here.Owner response: We are sorry you were inconvenienced by the temporary closing of the main entrance to Barefoot Resort. Every 5- 10 years the bridge needs to be repainted and repaired in the off season, which fell during your stay. In late October we were told about the possible closing and hoped it would be delayed into next year; it wasn't. At that time, finding you another condo with the bedding required and location was not possible. You did tell us about 1 towel that had some spots on it, and asked if you needed replacement , you answered no ,you were just going to put it aside. Also,had we known about the dust we would have immediately sent the cleaning staff back to resolve that issue. The garbage disposal needed a slight adjustment to release it and the commode was fixed the same day that you told us about it. This is a very popular condo, as you can see with the great reviews it has received, and is booked constantly in the peak season as well as the winter. The condo is only 7 years old, and the owner is very attentive, and proactive in updating things. The furniture is in great shape, and the carpets get cleaned regularly.

This condo was really lovely and well kept. Had all the necessary ameneties so that we could do most of our meals there. We loved how close everything was and enjoyed our time at the nearby beach. The only thing we didn't like was that the front two bedrooms did not have black out curtains and since they face the hallway where the lights stay on all night, the rooms were too bright to sleep in. We had to cover them with beach towels. I would totally stay there again, but my hubby would only return if the window issue was dealt with. But evertyhing else was truly awesome. Great view, nice pool, well supplied kitchen, very roomy.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Everyone in Myrtle Beach were just SO NICE. Had everything we needed as if we were home yet still with the vacation atmosphere. Looking forward to returning again next year!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Just loved this facility. Had all the necessary amenities of home. There was such a beautiful view and the kids enjoyed being able to see the bridge open and close every time a large yacht was passing through. Can't wait to go back again next year. Only went for 4 nights. Looking forward to staying a whole week next time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
