The suite is very comfortable and has an amazing view of the ocean from the 16th. floor that you can enjoy from the balcony. I enjoyed the two separate spaces the suite has and Mike (owner) is extremely helpful and accomodating with anything you may need. The property the unit is in is the best resort in the entire Ft Lauderdale beach area and has received several national/international awards for quality of customer service and overall guest experience. Staff goes beyond the call of duty to make you feel welcome and everyone seems to be enjoying their job. I know for sure I will be back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

I stayed six nights in the suite and it was very comfortable and clean with plenty of supplies and all working appliances. Mike was easy to work with and responded quickly to my emails and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I had to reschedule once and Mike helped make that change without any hassle. The view from the outside balcony on the pool level is what you would expect and quiet for a beach location. If you ever had any reservations about staying at a VRBO location this is the one Mike is very professional. The hotel staff was great and made the stay enjoyable and I would recomend this suite in the Hilton to anyone with or without children. Easy access to the beach restaurants and shopping. I plan to return to Ft Lauderdale for another vacation in the near future with my favorite lady and will stay in either the suite or Jr. suite owned by Mike.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My husband and I recently stay at the Hilton in the studio and it was wonderful! The room was comfortable and you would never know it was not the “twice-the-price” Hilton hotel room! It was large and clean and the bed was comfy. All around the room met and exceeded expectations. What was even better was the location of the room, on the same floor as the pool. We only bought 2 drinks from the bar at the pool, instead we went to the store (about a 15/20 minute walk NW) bought a few drinks and hardly spent any money having pool side drinks our whole trip! It was great. We were able to walk about 10 minute south on A1A and we were in the heart of everything. It was so convenient. We took a tour on the Jungle Queen boat and would recommend that, as well. If you are nervous about renting this room, do not be! Clean, large, and conveniently located.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, romantic getaway.

I would rate my experience at Mike's condo in the Hilton on the beach as a 10+++... We stayed in the unit on the 16th floor, and it was exactly as described. The unit was extremely well maintained, you had everything you needed and more. The views were amazing and the location was perfect. Close to shops, restaurants, and the water taxi. The bus stop is right across the street which brings you to Lauderdale by the Sea and more restaurants, shops, and the fishing pier! Mike was extremely accommodating. We arrived early, and he ensured we would not have to wait too long to get into the unit. Even though it wasn't ready, he let us store our baggage there while we went for lunch. Everything was ready when we returned. I had several questions about the unit and the area leading up to our trip, and Mike was always very prompt in getting back to me, and if he didn't have an answer, the found the information we were looking for. We didn't rent a car, and had absolutely no problems getting around. I would recommend the water taxi for "night time fun"... The taxi stop is only a short walk from the hotel. The views of the mansions and the yachts from the taxi are unbelievable and the captain and crew are extremely informative. We used it several times and "hopped" around different bars and restaurants located right on the water. I would also recommend Casablanca Restaurant which is a short walk from the hotel as well as Coconuts (maybe take a cab if it's really hot out) for Monday night Happy Hour and Shooters for Tuesday night. There are also some great restaurants in Lauderdale by the Sea including the Village Grill and the Village Pump which is a "Massachusetts" bar/restaurant...great place to catch a Sox game.. I would highly recommend Mike's property...and will plan to be back myself!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

I stayed for 6 nights, and really enjoyed staying at the Hilton, with access to the amenities. This condo is the closest in the hotel to the pool and gym. There is a view from the large patio which backs onto a common deck area used by the poolside restaurant. All appliances worked great, finishes are excellent. Will definitely rent again! Thanks MikeRecommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Mike the owner had this beautiful Jr Suite unit 1604 ready for us early in the am. We were getting off a cruise ship in the am. We called him as we got off the ship and the unit was all ready! Once we got to the unit we called him about a question and to let him know the lamps on either side of the bed worked but needed some attention, as they were hanging by the wires and had popped out of the holding bracket. He said he would look at them asap. He answered this telephone call in person. The unit could sleep 5-6. It had a large bathroom with whirlpool tub and a large walk in shower. He had soap and shampoo. He had bath towels, hand towels and washcloths for about 20 if necessary. The only suggestion would be for a hand held/fixed shower. It only had a fixed shower. It even had a magnifying makeup mirror, but the light was burned out. The king bed was very comfy. The complimentary computer hook up was a plus. The kitchenette had a refrig, cooktop, sink, coffeemaker, blender, microwave, dishes, utensils, pans and was well stocked. The unit was set up nicely. The bathroom to the right as you walk in. Down a long hall was the bedroom, then a living room/kitchenette.The balcony was off the living area and was a nice size. 4 of us ate out there comfortably. The view was very nice. Looking out the unit or on the balcony is on the left of the building with an unobstructed side view facing the ocean. You can see the ocean looking to the right on the balcony and looking north. You have an oceanview from the front left corner of the building to about three buildings to the left facing north. It is a 180 degree view of the ocean from the front left side and 180 degrees arond the left side of the building to the back of the building. The buildings in front of the balcony are only 2 stories tall so you have an unobstructed 180 degree view from the ocean back to the left for 180 degrees. The building is on the oceanfront street. It is very safe to cross the street to the beach at the traffic light. The pool on 6 is nice and warm, and the 2 whirlpools are a plus. One is cooler and one is very warm. The lounge chairs are hard to come by, but we put ouselves on the waitlist and within a half hour and a modest tip we had lounge chairs at poolside in the shade because it was very hot and sunny. Mike stopped by the unit on checkout and made sure everything was ok with us. I would recommend this unit to a friend or relative. Restraurants and stores within a 5-10 min walk.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, romantic getaway.

We stayed in Mike's 16th floor junior suite. Just the two of us sans kids for our anniversary. The room and location are exactly as advertised if not better. The room was perfectly clean, comfortable. Beautiful view. Spacious balcony. Plenty of space for groceries. Good sized fridge. I like the separate living room from the bedroom. The beach was an easy walk across the street. Rented an umbrella and chairs, which were nice but very pricey. Next time I think we would just buy our own and leave them and be ahead. Easy walking distance to restaurants and bars, but pretty quiet in the immediate vicinity. We did not rent a car and came out way ahead in walking to most places and taking cabs. This place has mandatory valet parking and a hefty daily fee, which was nice to avoid. The pool was nice, but feels so removed from the beach being six floors up and having glass railings. I think this is common with hotels on this beach due to the four lane city street below. The pool's restaurant/bar is one of the only areas of the property that could stand some significant improvement. Tiny and ridiculously expensive menu for food and drinks. On a typical vacation we usually enjoy hitting the tiki bar at the pool for happy hour after a long day at the beach. Not here. We tried the first day and our bill for two happy hour drinks was more than our lunch bill had been that day. The next day we brought our cooler from the beach and the pool waitress told us it was against hotel policy for us to have it there. The rest of the week we just went straight back up to our room, dropped the cooler off, made our own drinks and went back down to the pool. Silly really, but a minor inconvenience/annoyance for an overall nice place. Three out of four elevators were working the week we stayed there, which moved pretty quickly. We only had to wait a long time once. Good, efficient elevators are key in a place where the first six floors are parking garage, and these were acceptable. I've seen a bad elevator situation about ruin a vacation and that didn't happen here. The cafe at street level was okay, but there are better options nearby. They always seemed to be rushed to close the place every night too, sometimes fifteen minutes early(?). Not great for business or any kind of evening atmosphere. Walk to Casablanca Cafe instead-excellent. Overall, the Hilton is a very nice place for beach bums like us. We can't wait to stay here again. Mike is great to work with, too.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway.
