  After finishing all the tax returns and extensions on April 15 my wife and I were ready for some R&R with a beach view! The view was astounding! The house was super roomy for 5 adults and 2 kids. Access to the beach was within easy walking distance and the sandy beach was great. All amenities were provided in the house...we were not lacking anything! And a big plus for me was the Seascape golfcourse was within a half mile....way too much fun. Kids loved the beach boardwalk, meal on the Santa Cruz pier and pizza on the beach in Capitola. What a great place! Thanks Ed.....your home and location made our post April 15 memorable. Fresno CPA and family

  We just rented this home for Thanksgiving weekend. 7 adults and 2 children. Absolutely gorgeous deck views. Kitchen well equiped with 2 ovens and microwave. (our turkey was 24 lbs and we did all the wonderful fixings right there!) Ed is a wonderful, honest host. Minutes from the beach and Seascape Resort... we had 4 perfect sunny days and watched skydivers, whales and awesome sunsets. Safe, upscale neighborhood. House is great size and not at all pretentious.. bring the family and your dog, even. Don't expect anything but comfortable. This is not a "showoff" home. A very simple house. It is a PERFECT place for a big family and friends. We will definately be coming back. Thank you Ed!

  Our group gets together annually at a vrbo rental and I am in charge of finding it. Often, given the wide choice on vrbo, I choose properties that are well reviewed. Such was not the case with this location and I wanted to pay it forward a little so I am posting this. Initially two things attracted me to the rental. The price was very reasonable in comparison to similar rentals in the area and the location seemed ideal for our needs. Those two things held true. I actually physically checked out some other rentals I had been considering and was glad I had chosen this one. And the location turned out to be fantastic, especially given the price! It is literally two flights of nearby stairs away from a beautiful beach (not all beaches are created equal) and we often saw dolphins playing from our deck. The neighbourhood is an upscale one and seemed very safe. A car is a must though as most stores and restaurants were out of our comfortable walking range. For the sake of convenience we shopped for our groceries in Aptos but I would recommend driving to the mall on Main Street in nearby Watsonville if you are staying for any length of time as the savings would be worth the trip. Exploring the area, we drove to Pebble Beach once and often into Santa Cruz very easily. The house itself was very clean and the photos are accurate. The bedrooms were huge by our standards. There were some minor things that probably could have used remodelling such as the tile on the kitchen counter but these didn’t bother us in the least and I thought that those small upgrades that might be needed were quite fairly reflected in the rental cost. The only other disappointment was that we only got to see the absolutely magnificent sunset from the deck for the first few days as we had a bit of fog settle in during our last couple. Sunshine was just a short drive away though. The renting process was a smooth one and the owner responded to all my questions promptly. We would not hesitate to return especially as we settle in for our Canadian winter. Thank you Ed for our California dreamin’!
