  Love Kure Beach and absolutely love Stones Throw. The location is perfect - out the door and seconds to the beach! Only a short walk to the pier and restaurants. An easy bike ride to Fort Fisher and the Aquarium. The house is beautifully appointed and has everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. We're a beach family and have stayed in towns from Jersey to Florida. Kure is hands down our favorite, and when we're in Kure we'll be staying at Stones Throw!

  Stone's Throw was beautiful property, and we would highly recommend this rental to anyone. The home was very clean, comfortable, and stocked with anything you'd need for the perfect get-away. Owner's were extremely helpful, with open communication from the moment we inquired about the property, through our return home. The rental process was very smooth, and pricing fair and kept simple. House was just steps from beach, and very short walk to pier. Also located on a quiet street with great ocean views from both balconies, especially off master bedroom. Only problem for us was that we could not stay longer. Can't wait to return to Stone's Throw on our next visit to Kure Beach!

  This was a great vacation rental. We have been coming to Kure Beach for the last 5 years and each year we find a different rental to meet our needs. We no longer have to keep up the search! We have found the perfect rental and hope to come back next summer and for many summers after that. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is beautiful and well stocked for making meals. There is a grill available too. It was especially nice to find all the bikes, beach toys and chairs available for use in the garage. The location is great and it really is just a short walk to the beach, a short bike ride to the pier and a short drive to the other end of the island. The owners were super easy to work with too. You could not ask for anything more.

  We had a very enjoyable vacation at Stones Throw. Everything was clean and neat. The property was very close to the beach access as indicated. It was a very manageable walk with our two children one being 3 years old. The kitchen was beautiful and very easy to maintain. For the price this location was amazing. Our family would definitely rent this property again. We have always stayed oceanfront in the past but we were actually closer to the beach access here. Wonderful home.

  Very nice, clean, well maintained and comfortable home. The house seems roomier than the pictures may reflect. The owner was very pleasant to deal with and very responsive and informative. The master suite was very large and roomy, the king bed was extremely comfortable and there was a large private bath. The bedrooms were set up in the house to provide privacy for all. The garage was HUGE and had numerous bikes (in many sizes) with a lot of beach toys, chairs, etc. Very conveniently located to the beach. Very quiet part of the island. Would definitely rent again and recommend to others. Thank you.

  We found Stones Throw clean, comfy,relaxing, quiet ,beautifully decorated and well supplied. Pictures were acurate, extra map of way to get to area quicker , very helpful. Definitely would recommend to friends and relatives. Michaels is great restaurant. Sit outside. I spent "a while" there with a friend I had not seen in a few years. No one chased us. Beach at end of street is convenient. Washer/dryer conveniently located upstairs. Lots of steps. I was due for hip replacement a week after getting home. I did one step at a time. I am recovering fine and looking forward to next visit to ST and doing those steps. We were in N.C. for 99th birthday of my husband's mother. Our two daughters(in 30's) were with us. Was like vacations when they were growing up. Would not exchange the experience to stay at Stones Throw. RELAX> EAT>SLEEP>HYDRATE>ENJOY YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS MOST OF ALL, ENJOY YOUR STAY AT STONES THROW AND LEAVE IT READY FOR THE NEXT FAMILY TO ENJOY>THANK YOU!!!

We also provide directions for the "super secret back way" into Wilmington, and Kure Beach, which saves quite a bit of drive time during the congested summer months.

  My family and I had a wonderful fun filled Vaction again when we stayed at A Stone Throw for the sencond year. Its in a great location from the beach on a nice quiet street with plenty of bikes for the family to ride. We always enjoy eating at Kate's Pancake house, A &G bar-b-que. And Taking in the history of Downtown Wilmington with a horse drawn tours down on Market street they have seven different routes/tours to do! So far we have the first two tours down! The home was clean and we hope to make many more family memories there. The owners are always very helpful when I have any questions.

  My family and I traveled to Kure Beach and stayed at "A Stones Throw" the week of July 21, 2012. The accommodations are outstanding! The house is immaculately clean and fresh. The house has a stove, microwave, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, dryer and outside grill. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses and cutlery. There is one large flat screen television in the living room and a television in each bedroom with cable throughout. There is wi-fi available that is easy to connect to. The house has 2 wood decks, a patio, and a yard in which to play games. The pier, a convenience store and the Kure Beach Diner are in walking distance from the house. The local Food Lion, other stores, fast food, restaurants and activities (including putt-putt) are all a short drive away. During our stay we traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the day which was a 90 minute car drive. I can not say enough nice things about this house! Will absolutely plan another vacation to "A Stones Throw"!!!!

  We just returned home from a great stay at Stone's Throw. This home was perfect for our family of 4, and the beach access is truly very close. This was our first visit to Kure Beach, and we agree, we would return again. Having the bed linens included with this rental was so convenient, and the home was so clean and fresh. The ferry ride over to Southport was a fun day trip, and we enjoyed a quick trip over to Wilmington to explore there as well. It was the perfect blend of relaxing on the beach with optional activities to explore nearby. Thanks for a great place to enjoy the beach!

  Our Kure Beach vacation was fantastic thanks in large part to this awesome house! Its an easy walk to the beach, easy access to the main land through back roads or a short (and fun) ferry ride to Southport. Good food in Carolina Beach and plenty to do around town and on the beach kept our family busy (and ready for bed) every day. The only down side was the appearance of Hurricane Irene that cut our trip short. The owners were great in communicating with us as the storm approached and even refunded the nights we missed due to our early departure. Definitely planning on returning to this house in the future!
