Another wonderful getaway

This is our third time at Kathy's cabin in the last year and a half. Each time just gets better. The lake has gotten some bad press because of the algae buildup but it is very much overblown. The state has been working on the problem and have been very successful. There is a little pub within walking distance that has Angus hamburgers that are fantastic. Kathy has everything that you could want to make your stay as pleasant as it can be. As the expression says "This is as good as it gets".

Beautiful Cottage

My husband and I booked this cottage for a short getaway. We LOVED the cottage! It was the perfect size for the 2 of us. Right on the water and JUST like the pictures. We brought our speedboat with us to enjoy the lake. The State Park was about 4 or 5 miles East of us where we launched the boat for the day. The only thing that we didn't like was that we couldn't boat up to the cottage. The pier wasn't very long and the water level was very low, so that made it even more shallow than the lake already is. Overall, we LOVED our stay and would like to come stay again! Thank you Kathy!!!! You did a wonderful job on this cottage! Extremely enjoyable!

Anniversary Get Away

My husband and I are from the Dayton area and rented this cabin so we could go away, but not to far, to celebrate our wedding anniversry. The cabin was perfect. Quiet, very peaceful and relaxing. The cabin had everything we needed to make this a very enjoyable weekend get away.

We were in town for a family wedding and wanted to stay close to the festivities but didn't want to impose on family living in the area. This rental was perfect and met all of our needs. Specifically, we require handicap accessible living arrangments and this worked out great! If we need to be in town for an extended period of time again, we will definately try to stay here again. Thanks Kathy!

The cottage is adorable and the lakefront views are awesome! It's easy to find and close to both St. Mary's and Celina. Well-equipped kitchen if you want to cook, good TV reception, accessible wifi. The only drawback is the bed--it's only fullsize and the mattress quality is very poor. That's the only reason we wouldn't reserve again--my husband is very tall, so at least a queen-size bed is good, and we both have back/neck issues that require a firmer, more supportive mattress. Otherwise, we've thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

What a wonderful property! The cottage is perfectly decorated and so relaxing. Kathy thought of everything and made our stay stress-free and enjoyable. The neighbors are friendly, too. Thank you, Kathy, for a fantastic stay in your home on the lake!

Lovely cottage, everything done to perfection. Kathy has thought of everything you could possibly need to make your stay wonderful. We enjoyed our 5 days more than any other place we have stayed at. Will return again. Sitting on the deck and watching the ducks parade back and forth on schedule was an experience that we will remember for years to come. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Ed & Myra

Owner response: The Lake has been getting a lot of bad publicity in the past year due to algae problems. However, the area and the cabin can be enjoyed nonetheless, as this reviewer found out. As I recall the weather was not the best during their stay, however, the atmosphere of the cabin provides for a peaceful, non-stressful stay. I am very grateful when folks can come to my place and relax and get away from it all.

This cottage is exactly claimed in description. The cottage is easy to get to, close to stores. The interior is great and very comfy, and well equipped. I fished right off the dock and enjoyed catching a lot of catfish. They were worth the fight. Grand Lake has issues but the community and state are making ways. I have seen same conditions in Sandusky at Lake Erie. It's shallow lake after all. Very quiet and relaxing, the small oak tree was planted perfectly for afternoon shade. I would recommend this cottage to any small family.

I had rented this quaint little cottage for a relaxing Girls Getaway, and it was just what we needed. We enjoyed looking out over the lake and soaking up the sunshine from the deck. The Cottage was just as it is pictured only MUCH Better in person. We would definitely come back! Thanks Again!

Although the lake has been making the news due to the toxicity levels due to algae, we had a wonderful stay at your lovely cabin! So restful, and the lake is still beautiful! The comforts of home, the newly renovated and wonderfully decorated spaces felt so fresh, clean, and homey. Thanks so much for a special place to relax...we are returning for Thanksgiving, and plan to try a winter stay as well this year...you couldn't have been easier to work with! Thanks again...for helping me find a moment of rest and renewal in midst my hectic life!
