My friends and family had an excellent experience at the Sather's Cove beach property. We found the home to be very comfortable with plenty of space for our young kids to play (they especially loved the toy and bunk rooms!). We cooked a big birthday meal for our friends as the kitchen was well equipped, spacious and centrally located to the action in the living and dining rooms. Plus there was a nice grocery store less than a mile away. The beach was only a short walk from the house and the dunes just to the north and south were lots of fun to explore. We loved having the living room fireplace in the evenings and the master bedroom with balcony and additional fireplace was a nice luxury. The house was very clean, which we really appreciated, and Jeff was great to work with. The only thing that would make this house any better would be a view of the ocean, but otherwise it was a great house in a great location. We would recommend Pacific City and the Sather's Cove house to any of our friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The house was very nice and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the esential kitchen items needed to stay in and cook. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Having three bathrooms was a plus. We felt very much at home in this house.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your Pacific City home. Everything was exactly as described and made for a very comfortable stay. You obviously take great pride in caring for your beach house and it shows. This was our first VRBO experience and we could not have been more pleased. The frequent email contact, additional photos, directions, etc... were all very helpful. Thank you! I would encourage anyone looking for a five star home to stay at Sather's Cove.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We loved our stay at this property. The house is spacious & very clean. We really liked the neighborhood and proximity to the beach. The supply of games was much appreciated during those times when we wanted to stay in and relax. The beach at Cape Kiwanda is beautiful. We enjoyed walking it, checking out the tide pools, and the kids liked climbing the sand dune. Pacific City is a nice central location for exploring the coast from Seaside all the way down to Newport. The are lots of things to do. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the Oregon coast!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Our family with 3 young children (ages 5, 3 and 1) stayed here in June 2012 and loved it. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, a pleasant 5-minute walk to the beach. The house had everything we needed- beach toys, beach chairs, well-equipped kitchen, toys, games, movies. The outdoor shower with hot water was perfect when we came home covered in sand. We would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had a wonderful time at Sather Cove. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. Touches like the gas fireplaces were terrific for dealing with the evening chill. The house is just a short walk to the beach, which is great at low tide for long, relaxing walks. The area is very private with many beautiful sights. We would highly recommend. My family and I had a great holiday weekend at this beach house. The kitchen was big, bright and very well equipped. The house was clean and had everything we might need to use while we were there. We really appreciated the bikes and beach toys in the garage. The beach is just a short walk a way and there are really nice walking paths and wetlands nearby. We will definitely visit again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family spent part of our spring break in this outstanding beach home and all 6 of us agree it was the highlight so far of our year! The beauty, the comfort, the design, the cleanliness, and the owner exceeded our expectations! We were able to truly relax and enjoy ourselves in the home, at the beach, and in Pacific City. Our kids loved the games, the toys, the movies, and the beach toys furnished. The neighborhood was nice and quiet even during spring break. We are hoping to return to this wonderful home this summer or fall for a longer stay this time.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We've stayed here for the past few Thanksgiving holidays. The location is the best -- easy walk to beach and to the Pelican Pub. The house has just about everything you need to cook up a holiday feast. And it's a very comfortable place to hang out with the family.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our third stay at Pacific City at this rental. It has great a fantastic kitchen, which is an amenity not always found in vacation rentals. The open kitchen/dining area is well stocked with dishes and cooking supplies. The local grocery store is close by, and we recommend the Pelican Brew Pub and Grateful Bread restaurants. Our family of 4 plus friends looks forward to staying here. It is extremely well maintained, comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for a walk on the beach or up the dunes. And if we've even spotted deer through the patio door. This is perfect place to stay in Pacific City!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

"Magical" is the word used by my son to describe our vacation at Sather's Cove, and I agree. The home is spacious, ultra-clean, and well-provisioned, but not cluttered. We timed the walk to the beach (4 minutes) and there were plenty of beach toys in the garage for kids of all ages, including bikes. The kitchen is spacious with a great island for cooking and chatting, and the covered deck provided shade and comfort in the evening (plus mulitple deer sightings). Great reference book provided for the area, and Pacific City is an excellent location for day trips both north and south. Jeff was quick to respond to all my questions and it is apparent that this is a well-loved family home--you will enjoy making memories with your family too!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I recently returned home after spending a month in Sather's Cove; we enjoyed it immensely. We've been vacationing in Oregon since the 1970's. The "Cove" was the tenth house we've stayed in over those many years. It certainly ranks among the best--perfect for our needs this last trip. We had family joining us, so we needed three bedrooms and bathrooms. Our granddaughters loved the bunks and the second floor play area. The house is extremely well designed. It is very well furnished throughout, is very comfortable and has excellent appliances. It is also very clean. It's perfectly located to take advantage of all the attractions of the Oregon coast and this little gem of a coastal town called Pacific City.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family of 6 adults enjoyed Mother's Day weekend at Pacific City. The master bedroom is fabulous with its own fireplace. The home offered 3 bathrooms giving all us privacy and the ability to all shower quickly. The kitchen was easy to work in and there is a large dinning room table. I will be back for Mother's Day weekend next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We always love Pacific City and the house was perfect. Grandparents came from the midwest, we came from bend, met for three days a spring break fun. The weather is always the variable but worked in our favor = Less rain the not. Everyone was pleased with the house, bedrooms, kitchen, "toys", etc.Exceeded our expectations. Great price too! Easy owners to work with. All said, we will definitely use it again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

A good place to bring your family. We stayed at this home while my in-laws were visiting from Denver. We booked it online and communicated with the owners via email and phone, and everything went so smoothly. We loved the house, and loved Pacific City. The home was clean and had a great layout for our visit - with room to spare. My husband and I have rented several Oregon coastal homes over the years and the kids' amenities in this house were the best we've seen. My son enjoyed all of the games (including the Nintendo!) and there was a great bag of toys for the little one to play with, too. The deer visited nightly and that was a fun treat for all of us to see. We all had a great time and felt really comfortable in this home. We had a rainy day and filled our time easily inside with so much to do, and when it was nice out, we enjoyed the beautiful beach! My wife and I stayed here in Sept 2010 and found the place to be even better than what you see on the web site. Very clean and very peaceful. We walked the beach, climbed the dunes, watched the beautiful sunset while having a "soda" at pelican brew. Also had great dinner at riverhouse (save room, portions are huge, same can be said for village coffee shoppe breakfast).Also took time to drive down to depot bay, about 45 minutes, and saw a whale in the bay as we watched from the road! Jeff gave us all kinds of info and we would put his place on our repeat list for sure.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Sather's have made this house so cozy and comfortable with every amenity possible, it was like a true home away from home, only better! Our boys loved the bunkbeds, bikes, kites, beach toys, house toys, games, movies and even video games in the early morning so the adults could sleep in a bit. The house was immaculate and so well designed, we have no complaints, wish we could have stayed longer. It was nice to have a quiet place to relax after a day at the beach. Walking to the private beach area took only a few minutes, and we found walking trails in the adjoining neighborhood which led to a fun boardwalk up to the beach. The trek up and down the sand dune can't be missed! This house was also perfect for us as we had our family of four stay upstairs while the grandparents had the first floor bedroom and bathroom. We loved the property and the location. Or son and his wife their two children ages 16 and 19 and my husband and myself made this trip to Pacific City and it was awesome. It was a home away from home. We loved spending cozy afternoons on the deck and cooking out. Deer were a big hit with the teens and the adults. Close to the ocean. Bike riding was fun. Eating together in the beautiful kitchen and dinning room was a bonding time. We played janga and card games. we out to eat and watched the parasailing. Loved the cozyness. The home provided everything. Loved the kitchen, we all shared in cooking & the clean up. We laughed alot. We are going to do it again this year with the Sathers in mind. We were treated with kindness and felt part of their family. Thanks for sharing a lovely home, sorry this is late.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
