  My wife and I took my 16 year old special needs son and one of his friends to the beach over their Spring Break. The house was perfect. Everything was clean and well maintained. It was easy to find. Our GPS took us right to the front door. The owner had given us a code for the electronic door lock so there was no hassle with trying to link up with a person with a key. We had our own little slice of private beach right outside the back door. The kids played on the beach while we sat on the screened in back porch and watched them. The restaurants they recommended we try were also excellent. We took a fishing excursion with a local guide on the island named Paul. He was great with the kids and we caught 10 fish. It's a little bit of a drive to get to Panama City (where the kids wanted to go to the go kart tracks) but it was certainly doable for a day trip (about an hour and a half). Overall, we had a great stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place at the beach that is off the beaten path and away from the crowds.

  Thank you so much for offering your home for rent! We had a wonderful experience. My husband and I both felt it was the best vacation we've ever been on. It was our kids' first trip to the beach, so that made it extra special. We really could not have been happier with the accommodations. The view is amazing and just as it was pictured on VRBO. We spent a lot of time just sitting out on the porch drinking coffee! The proximity to the beach was also great. The home was clean and comfy and offered plenty of space for our family of six. It had all the amenities that we could have possibly needed, down to the flashlights for crab hunting at night. We have three children under age 8, so they especially enjoyed the great variety of board games and the kids programming on TV. We also enjoyed the bike path! One of our favorite things to do was to ride the path to town to the pizza place. It was all really wonderful and we are looking forward to staying there again! Thank you!

  Perfect house for my family vacation. The house was updated, clean and had everything we needed. The owners had thought of everything, including the crib and pack n play. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch with our 3 month old granddaughter while enjoying the amazing view. The men had a great day of fishing while the women treated themselves to a fabulous breakfast and shopping in Apalachicola. We ate lots of fresh seafood, kayaked, and enjoyed fabulous sunsets. Loved St. George Island and Daydreaming. We are already looking forward to next year.

  I'm sitting here daydreaming about our visit to St. George this past month! We were referred to this home by my wife's coworker and having been to the island before decided to book it for a week in April. When we arrived everything was clean and in order. Larry the caretaker was very prompt and helpful in giving us a quick rundown on the property and let us know to call him if we needed anything. Of course, needing anything would be unlikely as the house is very well appointed and has anything you could need to make your stay comfortable and convenient. The open kitchen had everything you could need. The bedrooms had nice comfortable bedding and mattresses. The split porches were wonderfully comfy with your choice of rocking chairs or lounges. Or you could sit in the screened area on the comfy furniture. I did a good bit of surf fishing and it couldn't have been more convenient with the beach just yards from the back steps. The outside shower and hose hookups were great too! And the fish cleaning table was perfect to filet the delicious pompano I caught from the beach! I do regret not spending more time in the hammocks under the porch. One more thing I really appreciated was that the home is near the center of the island and its much more convenient to access other areas like the state park, apalachicola or eastpoint across the bridge than if you were staying down in the plantation I could go on and on but I doubt you'd find a more comfortable or clean place to stay. It will be my first choice when returning to st. george. Thanks Daydreaming!

  We just got back from Day Dreaming, and are already trying to book it again! We traveled with 4 adults and 4 children (ages 9,6,6,3). It is perfectly setup for 2 families. The house inside and out were immaculately clean and practical for both the beach goers and the fishermen! Nothing better than catching fish from the beach, cleaning them at the fish cleaning station, then having an unbelievable kitchen to cook them in. We only ate out one night while we were there!! You will not need anything once you get there. There is no shortage of closet space or pantry space. It was great to have a high chair and crib that were easy to setup, as well as all the games. The bike trail was easily accesible and the kids loved riding down to the lighthouse. We will definitely be returning!!

  It is apparent the owners carefully thought about planning this beach house rennovation , enjoying it and sharing that joy with their guests. This is the perfect beach house with wide views, comfortable decks and screened porch. Bedrooms include generous storage and televisions. The kitchen is adequately supplied with utensils to encourage the inner chef. Located an easy walk to town and a pleasant bike ride to the state park, DayDreaming is an affordable gem on SGI. DayDreaming is focused on easy, carefree and comfortable beach living. A perfect beach destination and a place to enjoy the sweetness of doing nothing. Can't wait to return!

  We had a great Florida vacation because of our stay at Daydreaming. The house was clean with everything needed for our stay. The description and photos are right on. A great place to stay. We can't wait for our return trip!

  We had reserved the house for a week in August and one of our group went in the hospital two days before we were to go on our trip. I called the homeowners and they gracioulsy let us re-schedule our trip for October. We loved it so much we plan to go back same time next year.

  Finally found the perfect beach house! When you walk in, your first thoughts are, at last a house that the pictures and descriptions are exactly what you get.........great beach views.....very clean and well maintained......the screened porch is great for early morning coffee as well as late evening relaxation. Perfect for a nice quiet family get together or for a retired couple looking for a place just to sit back and relax. If you are considering St. George and Day Dreaming, don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed.

  Day Dreaming is every bit as amazing as it sounds and exactly as it is described. Once you walk inside, you truly feel welcome and at ease knowing that this is the best decision you made on vacation. The caretaker was very prompt in meeting us with the keys, walking us through the house, and answering any questions we had. The owners have invested a lot of time, thought, and care in this home, and in making it the perfect place to spend your vacation. All the bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Everything is immaculate and very organized. The location is ideal, and we loved being steps from the beautiful beach and not having to worry about crossing roads or highways to gain access. We traveled with young adult family members and good friends, and everyone (younger and older) had the trip of a lifetime bringing home memories to cherish forever. Star gazing on the deck was a favoritite activity since we don't see many shooting stars in the city sky, and napping in the hammock after a long day in the sun was another personal favorite. The owners are very accessible and answered every question promptly and with heartfelt care. They very much want you to enjoy your stay and have compiled a helpful binder with sightseeing opportunities, restaurants, local shopping and so much more. We already are "Day Dreaming" about the next time we can return.
