My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice, quiet place away to celebrate our anniversary– and we found it! This house is secluded yet also a short drive to Hudson for dining, shopping, and fun. The hottub and fireplace were the perfect amenities for our relaxing, cool nights after a day of hiking. Although it was just the two of us staying, the house looks perfect for entertaining a small group. The furnishings were comfortable and stylish; the owner has done a wonderful job making this house something great! Marty, the owner, is easily accessable and quick to answer questions. He was also happy to share with us his favorite spots for dinner and drinks in town. We would recommend that you go for it and book it! We will likely return for a second trip ourselves.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed at this house in Hudson with my husband and we had a wonderful time. The house was immaculate and perfectly maintained, and had all the conveniences we needed for the weekend. The house is beautifully decorated, and is even more lovely than it appears in the photos. It is perfectly located just a short drive from town, and the surrounding area is very scenic. The town of Hudson is a gem with great shopping, restaurants, and a beautiful historic district. I would highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for a cozy place to spend a weekend in the country.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Having rented the house on multiple weekends over two years, I can say it's the perfect upstate retreat. Everything is impeccably maintained, clean and orderly. We enjoy grilling on the deck, cooking in the kitchen, reading in the backyard and being able to get to Hudson in under ten minutes. The views are great.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This place is perfect. A little bit country, but not too much... all the comforts of home! It's off a quiet road (good for bike riding), very private, and about 3 minutes from downtown Hudson, Olana, and the bridge to the Catskills. It's an impeccably renovated spacious ranch with a huge deck overlooking a wide lawn (plenty of room for badminton), lush trees, and woods. The sunsets are spectacular, the hot tub and outdoor shower awesome. You're well situated to explore towns in all directions, but you might just want to hunker down at the house, cook on the grill, and relax with a book. We can't wait to try it in all seasons. The owner is welcoming, responsive, and super nice. Enjoy!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a wonderful, extremely clean and well appointed home. We've stayed in several rentals in the area and this is one of the very best, and certainly the cleanest, which goes a long way with me. Marty went above and beyond in his prompt correspondence and attention to detail. The hot tub is lovely. The wood burning stove is lovely, all-n-all just a charming home in a great location. Private, but close to happening downtown Hudson. Thanks Marty for a great weekend. This charming house has all the amenities one could ask for and is in a great location. The house was decorated really well and tastefully and was stocked with everything one could ask for. Great yard and deck made for relaxing times outside and the modern kitchen made meal prep a snap. Will definitely want to come back at some point. We spent two nights at the house and found it to be a great rental. The house was extremely well maintained, clean and comfortable. We found everything we could have possibly needed. The location was quiet and minutes from Hudson. The owner was very responsive to any questions. The property is beautifully maintained, cleaned and supplied, and the owner could not have been more helpful both before and during our stay. My two children, their spouses and I had a wonderful few days there, with plenty of nearby attractions and restaurants, although we much enjoyed evenings on the deck. We're four 30-something professionals who wanted to spend New Year's weekend out of the city. Our expectations were high and, without exception, exceeded. Let me set the scene: one of us taking a break from mixing cocktails to stir the fire in the wood-burning stove, another soaking in the hot tub, and two more comfortably cooking dinner in the beautifully appointed and user-friendly kitchen. Marty made sure the house was ready to welcome us and that we had everything we could possibly need. The town of Hudson is a stone's throw away (watch out for deer along the road) and the spectacular must-visit Olana looks down from a hill just a few minutes' drive away. Back to the house, though. Don't think twice about renting it. It's immaculately clean, impeccably maintained, and stylish to boot. You can't go wrong.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I recently attended a friend's wedding in Hudson and rented this beautiful home for the weekend. Upon arriving, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the house surpassed our expectations. Not only is the home beautifully furnished and decorated but it is incredibly clean. I'm a bit of a germaphobe and normally when renting a house I keep my flip-flops on the entire time. Let me just say this, I TOOK MY FLIP-FLOPS OFF in a rental house for the first time in 15 years. The owner went to great lengths to think of the smallest detail in making our stay comfortable and went out of his way to provide us with information and recommendations on the local area. My husband and I, along with a couple of friends, had the most wonderful weekend at this incredible home and highly recommend it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Just got back from a relaxing holiday weekend at this great house. The place is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed and more (hot tub!). The owner clearly takes great care of the place, has good taste, went out of his way to give us local recommendations and was always available via email or phone (not that we needed to get a hold of him). The house is in a nice and quiet location, but very close to Hudson and its shops and restaurants. We're already looking forward to coming back in the winter for a ski weekend. This beautiful home is even nicer than the photos. Every detail has been thought of. Very clean and beautifully maintained. It offers the best of everything: private and secluded property even with other homes nearby; country setting yet really close to town. Hammock and hot tub out back. Restaurants and antiques in town. My own recommendation would be that this home is better suited to adults. The owner has obviously very carefully put together this beautiful home. He pays attention to details. It didn't strike me as a place that's appropriate for kids. Not cabin-in-woods-relaxed-casual kind of place. Grownups? You'll LOVE it! I had a great week.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

A couple friends and I absolutely LOVED our stay here. The house has everything you could possibly need, and the owner keeps the house in great condition; it is even better looking than in the pictures. Everything was very clean and well organized, making things easy to find while on our stay. I highly recommend this house for people with dogs; there is a huge backyard and my friend's labrador was in heaven. The house is quiet but very close to town, where there are some great restaurants and antique shops. However, I do recommend staying in and cooking out on the amazing grill, which is super easy to use; even two city girls had no problem! Thanks for the great stay, and we are looking forward to another trip here!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners.

This house is far and above what we could have expected. Each of the rooms was clean, well-appointed, and pleasant to sleep in. Everything was up-to-date, including a cook's kitchen and a laundry room! The owner was extremely helpful with all of our questions and ensured we had a great stay. We were right outside the town of Hudson -- so, none of the hubbub but access to all the restaurants and arts and antique shops. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in a weekend away.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We rented the house in May for the weekend. It has been almost 6 months, my friends and I still can't stop talking about how amazing the house is! It is a beautiful house with attention to detail throughout. We found everything we needed in the house. The views from this house are breathtaking--this was in May --I can just imagine how gorgeous it will be in the winter! Hot tub was great. (Marty, we made sure only 4 ppl in the tub : ) House was clean. Kitchen and outdoor grill (brand new) were excellent. We spent most of time in the house because girls didn't want to leave the house! Marty, the owner, is amazing! Highly recommended.
