The house was everything that I thought it would be. Everyone loved the layout of the house and how open and spacious it was. We had great times and have wonderful memories of a terrific week. It was just the right distance for a short walk to the beach. Loved the fenced-in backyard where our dog Tucker loved wandering around. We appreciated that so much was provided, ie linens, towels, dish clothes, soaps and toilet paper, paper towels, etc. If we come back to this area again, I can't imagine staying at any other place.Did you find this review helpful? My husband, teenage son, two cockapoos and I stayed in this house last week. The house was great and perfect for our crew. The dogs loved the yard and the beach. The location was great, right by the beautiful ocean and easy driving to Charleston and its history, charm and restaurants. The house was clean, cozy and had plenty of room for both togetherness and privacy. Weather was wonderful. We would definitely recommend this rental to anyone, but especially to those who want vacation with their pet.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

It was great! Easy walk to the beach and it was perfect for the 3 couples that went. Having the 3 separate area/bedrooms was really very neat. Gave us our own space and quiet areas. Loved the layout of the house as well - we really liked watching the fat squirels in the back yard as well. Thanks for having such a great home to rent.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners.

Our recent stay in Isle of Palms was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations we’ve ever had. South Carolina is lovely; the Isle is beautiful, well-kept and friendly. The house we rented was like home (only nicer). It was welcoming, well-appointed and incredibly comfortable. My husband, our large GoldenDoodle, Jake, and I shared the home with a couple who’ve been great friends for years and their two wire-haired JRT’s, Ginny and Guesli. We were also joined for several days by another even longer-time friend who lives on nearby Harbor Island. The house accommodated this group with ease, and the three widely spaced en-suite bedroom areas afforded us lots of privacy, comfortably. While we chose to sample the culinary offerings of the area often (we loved Acme Cantina, Isle of Palms, which is short on ambiance but long on menu and taste), we found our house’s commodious kitchen to be extremely well-equipped and an efficient spot for many of us to simultaneously fix snacks, meals and just hang out. The huge dining area table was the perfect place to eat, linger over morning coffee and bagels, but even more importantly, a great game site! Many a Catch-Phrase or Cranium game were played there close to those who chose to watch TV or read in the lower area living room. Our worn-out dogs were happily asleep in little heaps under the table or nearby. Our days were spent taking the dogs for early morning beach walks, ooh-ing and ah-ing over our shell treasures and laughing at the dogs’ responses to the incoming tides; solving all the world’s problems lazily ensconced on the screened-in porch; watching in wonderment at the JRT’s incredible busy-ness in the fenced-in yard and the Doodle’s enjoyment of “hanging” with canine friends. Afternoons were spent sight-seeing (we recommend making the trip to see the awesome Angel Oak on Johns Island, SC), exploring Charleston’s Fort Moultrie, and supporting the local economy at The Slave Market and, closer to home, the Abide A-While Nursery (Mt. Pleasant, SC), Palmetto Moon Antiques (Mt. Pleasant) which had great yard ornaments plus other unique antiques. The dogs were usually treated to additional daily exercise at the wonderful dog park located just a few blocks down the street. Can it get any better? Not by our definition of “great vacation.” If you’ve gotten the idea that we all loved this home and the area, you’re right! We’ll go back again…and again… and again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming home. This trip was the first time we have ever taken our dog on vacation and she had the best time! We do not have the convenience of a fenced in yard at home, so not only did our dog benefit, but I was able to relax knowing she was secure. The kitchen is extremely well appointed - we lacked for nothing in cooking many meals. Our group included six adults at one point, four adults for the remainder of our stay. The only drawback we had was the air mattress in bedroom #3. It tends to deflate as the night wears on, and our friends found themselves rolling to the middle by morning. We could have put them on the convertible sofa, but their snoring kept us from doing so! Anyway, the house is convenient to the beach, was very clean, has nice trees, is a two mile run to the grocery and restaurants, and our smokers enjoyed the screened-in porch. If you need chairs and umbrellas for the beach, there is a rental company that will set up and take down chairs for you daily (for a fee, of course). When you go, do not miss downtown Sullivan's Island (approx 5 miles) - very charming. We truly had a great time!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family (6 of us) had a very comfortable stay here. It was the perfect distance from the beach (only like a 3 min. walk) and loved that I could let my dog out in the back yard because it was fenced. The kitchen had all the things we needed to make delicious meals. Any issues we had with the property were immediately corrected and the owner and property manager were both very nice and quick to respond. We loved gathering around the huge dining room table that is central to the unique layout of the home. We played many games of Scrabble and cards there. It was an amazing time, a very welcoming house (the dual headed shower downstairs was amazing!!) and the owner was a pleasure to do business with. You won't regret your stay here!! We hope to be back next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

We spent the weekend at this house as a place for our group to stay during a friend's wedding in Charleston. It is a great beach area and accessible to everything Charleston has to offer, as long as you have a car. My dog also loved the house. If we come back near that area, we will definitely be back!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

The house was the perfect size for the four of us and the dining table was a great size for having a few friends over for dinner. The house worked well for our two dogs as well. We usually do not travel with them, but I would definitely come back to this house with the "girls" in tow. The location is great for accessing the beach and getting around the area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

My family and I had a fantastic experience at this lovely beach home. It was solo close to the beautiful beach and not right in the middle of beach traffic. The walk took 4 minutes! The beds and furniture were extremely comfortable and the house had everything you need for cooking too! We would definitely come back again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Based on the guest book, it appeared we were among the first few to stay at this home. The owner and property manager were so easy to work with. We have stayed at other rentals before and they specifically went above and beyond to make our stay great. The accessibility to the beach was wonderful! So easy to get to and private. We loved the outdoor shower! The house itself had such great character. My husband loved all the photography on the walls. We specifically appreciated the San Francisco shots since we're originally from that area. There really is so much more I could mention about our stay but I would suggest others to visit and see for themselves! My only recommendation is to stay more than 3 nights if you can. There is just so much to see and 3 days is just not enough time. Thank you Jody for sharing your home with us! We really had a great time and will definitely be back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
