"I just wanted to thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home. We have rented from owners so many times before, but never was a place so well-appointed. We were so impressed with the high-end appliances and the beds were unbelievably comfortable! They were even better than any Westin, even though they advertise their "heavenly beds." - Susan 2/05 Powerscore
Enjoy your vacation in comfort and style in this modern mountain retreat. Hand-hewn, knotty pine railings and vaulted ceilings complement brushed nickel fixtures to create a true modern alpine abode.

Why the Owner Chose Riverbend Vail
We love skiing on Vail Mountain and really liked our location. Our house is a single family home, so no noisy neighbors. (No units are attached next to, above or below.) Also located next door to the Vail Racquet Club which one can use for a nominal fee and enjoy the great restaurant, Alpine Tavern. We also like being next to Bighorn Park that has a terrific playground. We have Gore Creek on our complex's grounds (named "Riverbend" for a reason). The free town shuttle is across the street and runs into Vail Village every 15 minutes during ski season. East Vail is quaint and quiet, yet minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Vail Village.
The Unique Benefits at this House
On free bus route, fenced-in backyard with our private hot tub on the deck with gas grill, two level house, everything has been remodeled and updated, featuring custom wood work, so it's incredibly comfortable. Our sit-down mud/gear room has boot and glove heaters and plenty of room to store your gear and the floor is heated! During ski season we've added an upgrade to our cable package that includes HBO, Showtime and many sports channels. Plenty of seating in the living room! It's a fabulous home that provides the perfect setting to unwind, relax and hang out with friends and/or family.
Owner's Map of Riverbend Vail
My brother and I live in Boulder and Golden respectively and share this second home with our Ohio siblings and rent it occasionally. It's our family home, so it's not your typical rental. Since we use it as often as possible, the kitchen is stocked with great cookware, etc. It's very first class and comfortable. We love it. Our guests have loved it too!! (Be sure to check out our VRBO Guestbook).

We had a group of 10 stay in this home for Spring skiing 2011. The home is very clean and well maintained, and convenient to the East Vail bus route. Right next door to the Vail Raquet Club as well. The owner is very helpful, friendly and informative on the area. Home is comfortable with nice hot tub and a bit of a yard, spacious without being overly large, and very comfortable for our large-ish group. Felt very homey due to owner's thoughtful communications and gift. Highly recommeded.

This was the second year in a row that we stayed at Stacy and Mark's Vail Home and we had a blast. Stacy goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect - and it is! We skied, took a smowmoblie tour, enjoyed an evening a Game Creek Restaurant, many nights of Apres ski, - and each day knew we would be returning to the comforts of HOME :-) Comfy, clean, well appointed, spacious, and perfect. We will be back again in 2012 for a third year - , and the year after that, and the year after that, and the year......Thank you Stoutenburg Family from the Cox Family

My family recently spent over two weeks at this property in East Vail. It is very well maintained, very clean and the listing accurately describes the property. We found the owner to be pleasant, honest, available if needed and generally engaged in making sure everything went well with our vacation. The location is excellent, in a lovely valley location next to the gently flowing Gore River. Bighorn Park is located next to this development. It is a great plus if you have kids or a dog. This is also a great location for walking or biking. There are quite a few streets locally to hike through and little to no traffic. There is also a bus stop close to the Riverbend development if you want to use the free Town of Vail bus. This was the second time that we have rented this property and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends or family. We loved it.

Our family recently stayed at this property during August, 2010 and found the property to be more than convenient to bus stops, vail activities, dining, shopping, recreation. Open the windows at night and hear the river just down the hill for cooling off and peaceful sleep inducement!!! Wake up in the morning to the tall windows in the great room revealing Vail Mountain's tall timbers and slopes, blue sky and morning sun. Bathrooms and kitchens fully provisioned. High tech tvs, ipod capabilities, surround sound if that is your thing. We wanted to languish in the wonderful hot tub at night listening to the river below. The weather was wonderful including the cold rainy days where you could smell the pine-wet air distinctly and feel refreshed. We came from a climate of 104 degrees and 100% humidity for a month straight. What a break from all of that. Eat at Russell's Restaurant in Vail Village for a taste sensation!!! Ribs and au gratin potatoes out of this world, as well as their fish plates. Right now sales abound which makes shopping fun. The past rain has left the greenest green around. Wild flowers everywhere!!! Golf at Vail Valley Golf Club, after 3pm, costs $52, including cart, on one of the most beautifully kept courses imaginable, although you will have to decide between hitting the golf ball or fly fishing the ponds and rivers on the course. Disc golf at the top of the mountain was a big hit after a ride on the Lionshead Gondola. Buses take you anywhere you want to go, most often for free, or for a minimal fee. When you get to town, get a "Whattodo" book which outlines dates and times for free events as well as the specialized entertainment opportunities for your scheduled visit. We highly recommend visiting Betty Ford's Alpine Gardens in Ford Park, just down the road from the house, where you can take in a picnic and let little ones play on a most magnificent playground. In the museum, purchase a book about all of the trails you can walk around Vail's mountains, complete with amounts of time to climb and suggestions for a comfortable completion. The history in the book is wonderful, especially the story of the man hunting for a mountain lion back in the 1800's who kept eating his sheep; waited all day until he got bored and began to examine the branches of the tree he had climbed, only to find the mountain lion sitting in his tree above him. Obviously, he fell and broke his ankle. Little treasures like that. ENJOY LIKE US!!!

this house was fabulous...everything was in topnotch condition, the owners were friendly and so easy t work with, and we loved that it felt like a home. the kids loved the hot tub and the fact that there was a park and creek right around the corner. we loved the fact that the condiments were in the fridge and the bathrooms all had body wash, shampoo and conditioner...again, these little touches made you feel like home. we would definitely rent this house again!

My family spent a summer week in Vail and had the best possible experience. Stacy went out of her way to make sure the house was prepared for my family, including my two young children and my parents. The area was great for young kids, with Bighorn park one block away with a brand new custom playground. We visited a half dozen other playgrounds in Vail, and spent a ton of time splashing around in the fountains in Vail and Lionshead villages. We took advantage of the free bus service, with less than a 5 minute walk to the bus stop from the house. The kids also loved the back yard and hammock. And we slept great. The beds were more comfortable than any hotel we've ever stayed in. The kitchen had all the pots, pans, dishes, and spices we needed and a large eating area for the whole family.
