Lahaina Shores the ONLY Beach Front property in Lahaina Town is located in West Maui on the famous 'FRONT STREET'. Lahaina Shores is a 7 story plantation style building, which consists of 199 units which opened in 1974. The building underwent a year long renovation, completed as of March 2010, lobby renovations were completed as of 2006. Parking is available on property for a $8/day fee or additional lots are located nearby for a nominal daily fee. This resort offer a 24/7 front desk.
Lahaina town an old fishing village is well known for arts and Hawaiian cultural activities. Stroll through dozens of art galleries in Lahaina Town each Friday from 7 to 10 pm for special gallery shows, featured artists-in-action, and refreshments, all free and open to the public! "Excellent location - loved the mountain vista" My husband and I spent a lovely week in #704. The mountain vista is always changing and waking up with the sun just appearing and watching the day unfold was the best!!! Water sports and tourist venues right there and two blocks from Lahaina Town for espresso and shops, hard to beat. Car rentals in Kaanapali will pick you up at the door if you want to rent a car for a day trip instead of keeping one for the whole holiday - loved it.Did you find this review helpful? "Great Location, Spacious Condo" Lahaina Shores is a awesomely located resort... private beach, beautiful ocean, short walk to lively Lahaina. We stayed here before, but this was the first time we didn't have an ocean view. We really missed that, and on the mountain side, there is quite a bit of noise from the streets of noisy Lahaina. Gardeners working their machines, garbage trucks, people shouting. Morning brunch on the Lanai is one of the best things you can do, and this unit has a great big lanai, but the ambience is nothing compared to hearing and seeing nothing but the ocean on the other side. The condo was quite spacious and felt comfortable, especially with our 2 little kids. And 2 bathrooms is really a plus with family. Big flat screen TV and good cable selection. Easy access to the beach and pool were great. The shore here is protected by a large coral reef, so waves were very mellow and you can even do some decent snorkling, but general swimming only at high tide. Next door are shops and some restaurants. The pizza/pasta place had pretty good food, but I don't recommend Betty's, unless you go just before sunset to catch a free view of the Luau show that would otherwise cost $100 per adult and $80 per child.
