Lovely renos, well maintained and clean condo. Excellent location in Maui Vista Complex and close to everything in Kihei, beautiful to walk to beach for sunsets. Great to have all beach items supplied!

My wife and I always rent condos when we vacation and we are very fussy about things in a rental condo. Usually they are dirty or things are broken ect... Well, this condo is a gem you can sense the professionalism as far as the owners go. They know what they are doing....The condo is perfect! We really enjoyed our stay and we will book again. We enjoyed our stay in this unit so much!! We have stayed in several other units at the Maui Vista and have to say that this condo was one of the nicest, if not the nicest. From the moment we entered the condo, we could tell that this one was different. We loved everything in this unit including the many upgrades, the step-in shower in the bathroom, the fabulous kitchen, the murphy bed (very comfortable), even the soothing color scheme. There is everything you need to grill (which is right outside the unit) or cook your own meals, including containers for leftovers (which is not something you would think you would need until you do). They have everything you need for the beach, including boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, beach mats, towels, and cooler bag. Even though it is on the ground floor facing S. Kihei Rd the street noise is hardly noticeable due to the landscaping. The unit was very cool with the fans and the A.C., however we usually created a great breeze by leaving the front door open when the sliding doors were open. The condo is within easy walking distance to not only Charly Young beach but also several restaurants and stores. We highly recommend this unit. P.S. Karen and Don, thank you so much for accommodating us with our late night departure..we really appreciated your kindness. We will definitely be back, although looking at your busy calendar, we will definitely have to book well in advance :-).

Our friend recommended VRBO and we are glad he did. Your condo was fantastic. The space was perfect for our family. Great kitchen renovations, we enjoyed cooking and grilling almost every night. The beach, pool and BBQ are a stone’s throw away, exactly as was described. We quickly settled into a routine of beach time, pool time and grilling time. Thank you for having the beach gear available, very convenient when you are traveling. Restaurants and other parks are within walking distance as well as a few markets to buy souvenirs and great coffee. We will definitely recommend your place to our friends and family. It was truly a home away from home. Thanks for calling and seeing how we were and the free long distance calls back home were very convenient. Our two weeks exploring Maui was truly a vacation to remember. The Road to Hana, Molokini and Iao Rainforest and exploring so many cool beaches are just a few of the many activities we accomplished over our two weeks.

An Excellent Base in on the South Shore

We just returned home today from a wonderful trip to Maui. We stayed in many different parts of the island and in hotels, a bed and breakfast, and then in this beautiful condo for the last couple of days. The condo is exactly as advertised - an excellent renovation in a very convenient location. The pool is literally steps off of the lanai, the beach a couple of minutes further, and the grill area located just out of the front door. The condo itself has everything that you need from kitchen supplies to beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. After a fun day at the beach, you can walk to many different restaurants, or use the grill for a bbq at home. There is great comradery around the grill area at night among the other tenants; many have been coming here for several years. The owners were great to work with - from quickly responding to our initial e-mail inquiries all the way through the reservation process. This is a great condo for families, couples, or anyone spending time on the sunny South Shore.

We absolutely loved this condo! Our 17 day Christmas vacation was the best in 7 years! The remodel was gorgeous with quality throughout. Spotless and clean. Location was amazing with views of the pool from the bright and sunny lanai and just a quick walk to Charlie Young Beach...which by the way is our favorite now over Kam Beach 1, 2 & 3 as you can walk forever on this beautiful sandy beach. The Maui Vista complex is extremely well maintained and we had a great time at the bbq meeting all of the visitors and owners. We had a great time and we have already booked for next Christmas...a fantastic vacation rental. We are extremely fussy and this is the best !!

Don't stay anywhere else in Kihei.

This unit was recommended to us by a friend. It was our first VRBO rental (I was apprehensive). I need not have worried. We stayed at this condo from December 5 to 12, 2011. A lot of the condo's in Kihei were built in the 70's. This one has a really, really nice reno (note: not every condo in this complex is as nice as this one). A lot of condo complexes boarder on South Kihei Road, which, you should note, is very busy road (The back of the Condo is steps from the pool, as indicated, but also faces this busy road, which can be noisy...but there are trees/bushes blocking the view of the road itself). Regardless, I would not stay anywhere else in Kihei but in this Condo. The price, relative to the location, is perfect. Just across South Kihei Rd is Charlie Young Beach (3 min walk). And just another 5 min walk from there is another beach where the kids can learn to surf. Even though we rented a car, while in Kihei, everything you need is within walking distance from this unit. The Condo: It was clean, the beds were comfy (although I did miss my pillow from home), the kitchen is extremely well stocked (all you need are your own groceries). Everything for the beach is stocked in the condo as well, snorkling gear, boogie boards (which we used...so fun), water noodles for the little ones, lawn chairs (nice ones too). Flat screen TV's..so nice....Netflix (we used that too). I didn't notice if there were tennis rackets (there are tennis courts at this condo, but we didn't play....next time). We got a phone call on the first day from the owners, ensuring that we had everything we needed. Such a nice touch. (We called them later in the week, in the evening, as we had an issue with the Netflix connection. They fixed it for us...no problem). I can't say enough about this place. I am recomminding this unit to my family and friends. In fact, I'm thinking I'll leave the rest of the family at home and going again by myself, and just enjoy the laid back atmosphere of Kihei). I recommend this unit for: Solo travelling (a great place to get away from it all, by yourself). With a small family. (no more than 2 kids though...otherwise you might feel cramped. The murphy bed (super comfy) would easily accomodate 2 little kids). A couple. (If you don't want to "party", but just want to chill out for a romantic time). Seniors. I don't recommend this unit if you're young and want to party all night long. This is not the place for you.

Excellent vacation in Maui!

We had an excellent time in this beautiful condo. It was exactly what we wanted, nice, clean, modern, across the street from a beautiful beach, near restaurants, and around the corner from a terrific grocery store (also, very affordable grocery store). The amenities that come with this rental were also really nice, we played tennis, enjoyed the netflix, internet and patio. This was a great location, and beautifully decorated and maintained condo, we felt fortunate to have lucked out, and I would like to encourage everyone to take advantage of this rental property.

You're vacation home was absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed living here for the week! The renovations were amazing, great central location to everything and the couch, and both master bed and the murphy beds were super comfy. We also especially loved the fully equipped & stocked kitchen, lots of beach equipment to use, and it was very kind of you to checkin on us a few days after our arrival. I was really sad to leave but also looking forward to staying in your condo again when we come back to Maui in the future. Absolutely loved that Charley Young Beach is just across the street so it made it so easy to go to the beach 3-4times daily. Thank you for an awesome 4year wedding anniversary for us =)

Everything you need is included, but if you have any questions Don & Karen are only a FREE phone call away! Perfect landlords! There is a binder in the unit that has "tips" from them & previous guests with comments about where to purchase groceries, rentals, etc that is a great assistance to help make your stay more pleasurable. Groceries are a 10 minute walk, the beach is a 5 minute walk, the complex BBQ is just outside the back door, the pool is just off the lanai. We stayed 5 weeks & rented a car for two days. Truly a relaxing vacation.

Dear Don & Karen! We so enjoyed your condo in South Kihei! The unit was so comfortable & we didn't want for a single thing!! The reno's are gorgeous! What a treat to have all new appliances! The 2 T.V.'s, wi-fi and free long distance were put to good use!! ; ) The complex is perfectly situated so that you could walk everywhere to get what you need! We didn't have a car the first week which didn't bother us at all! I loved going to a couple different markets only a few blocks away to take in all of the Hawaiian products! There are many good places to eat all within a few blocks! Too many activities to mention that we are planning to go back and do!! Golfing, surfing and snorkeling was fantastic! Don & Karen your condo felt like home to us! Please save us a couple weeks next year!! Mahalo!! : )

Best Vacation Stay Ever!

My husband and I both decided that this was the very best place we had ever stayed on a holiday! The renovation in this condo has been done with such so much care and attention that there is absolutely nothing you could want for that has not been thought of and provided. The unit has been comletely upgraded with brand new state of the art appliances plus fresh new flooring, tiling and furniture. We loved the decor and felt so at home and comfortable there. We also appreciated all the extras that make such a difference to the quality of your stay; extras like lots of great towells and bedding, free internet and phone calls to anywhere in Canada and the U.S. and great beach charis and water toys for our days by the ocean. The other feature we loved about this condo is its great location. The ground floor unit is only steps from the swimming pool and minutes from the ocean. It was so handy to be able to sit out on the porch or grab the charis and be sitting on beautiful Charlie Young beach in minutes. The Maui Vista grounds are kept very clean and manicured and daily cleaning service was excellent. We have already recommended this condo to all our freinds and intend to return ourselves as soon as we can. Don and Karen who have done such an amazing job of making this condo clean, convenient and comfortable have also made it very easy to rent this unit and very simple to arrive and set up your stay. They answered our questions promptly and thoroughly and were so helpful with any inquiries we had about the condo, the complex or the area. Staying in a condo as well looked after and as completely equipped as this one made our whole vacation the best ever.

Karen & Don. I looked at the pictures of your condo on line and really liked what I saw. When I arrived there, I was not disappointed at all! ... your condo is gorgeous!!! I was thoroughly impressed with all of it's comforts and conveniences including it's proximity to restaurants and other amenities, and most of all the two minute walk to beautiful Charlie Young Beach. Oh, and I really appreciated the personal touch of you calling me there soon after my arrival, to make sure everything was okay. This was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had, and I really hope to return to your beautiful condo in the near future.

My husband and I have stayed at many condos at Maui Vista. This condo is by far the best. Everything is new, and of good quality. There is NO carpet in this unit, which makes it perfect for the beach. The wall bed mattress is amazing, and big, same with the bed in the bedroom. There is also a flat screen tv in the bedroom as well as the living room.The kitchen has everything you need, even a blender for margarita hour. And an ice maker in the freezer. We love staying in the first building on the ground level, as it is easy access to parking, the bbqs, and the beach. The Beach chairs are Tommy Bahama and they are fantastic. These owners did their reno right, we will definitely rent from them again next year !!

Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My husband and I had a great time...sipping pina coladas from the lanai, enjoying the beach just steps away, and sleeping in on the cozy bed! We will definitely be back! We felt welcomed and the owners met our every need and were extremely accomodating.

We stayed at the condo for 10 days in June and it was fabulous. Everything was brand new, modern and clean. We had an amazing time. This condo is in the perfect location. Directly across the street from the entrance to the beach we would pack up every morning and walk over. When the sun got to hot we would go back to the condo and relax before heading to the pool which was just steps from the lanai. Couldnt have asked for a better location or a nicer condo. Another added bonus was restaurants were all within walking distance! Will most certainly be back

My/our vacation to Maui was a gift to my parents for their 47th anniversary and was very enjoyable. I have rented a different unit (at a higher price) in this complex before, but it was not up to the standard that this unit was. This unit was a sweet surprise to us all when we arrived. Although this is the small 1bdrm style condo you'd expect, we found that having 3 adults occupy the unit was actually not too bad. My parents took the bedroom and I stayed on the murphybed provided in the sitting area. The kitchen was immaculate and had all the amenities right there! The use of the free long distance phone/wireless internet was also a welcomed added bonus for researching the island or phoning the family back home. The bathroom was kind of small for all of us (at times), but we anticipated that. It was also decorated in style and design. Believe me when I say....This unit is so nice! From the fabulous job in renovations, to the absolute convenience of the pool / 2min walk across the street to the best beach in Kehei , to the decor, quality, affordability and warmth of the unit - it will not disappoint! Overall, the price paid was well worth it! This unit is truely a diamond in the ruff and I challenge anyone to find something better...or at least, just as affordable with the same renovated decor in the town of Kehei. Don and Karen (owners)...thank you so much!!! You two were very easy to deal with throughout the whole process and this was very much appreciated. Cheers!...or should I say, Mahalo!

Our stay completely exceeded our expectations! We felt very much at home, the condo is beautifully done and is modern, clean and comfortable. I just can't say enough about the location: the patio is great, the pool is just out the door, the bbq's are around the corner, the neighbours are friendly and the beautiful Charlie Young beach is basically across the street. Everything else is within walking distance: shops, restaurants, grocery store and coffee shops. Also, it is stocked with everything: a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry, and of course the beach gear! It's a far superior holiday experience than staying in a hotel. Don and Karen are great - they even called during our stay to see how we were doing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this condo, and we can't wait to come back!
