'Our Place' is our private vacation home that we have chosen to share with special guests. We hand pick our renters, therefore, we do not have constant renters in and out. 'Our Place' is very clean and well taken care of.
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Appalachian Chain, half a mile from the crystal clear, emerald waters of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world (National Geographic)'Our Place' is the perfect location for vacationers during Spring and Summer.
'Our Place' is a new rustic home peacefully situated on two acres of lush woods located in the beautiful Peaks at Lake Lure Community (gated). Upon entering its warm and cozy embrace, you will relax in its charm. Sip iced tea from the wide front porch as you take in the breath taking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, read a book in one of the many comfy areas of the house or keep an eye out for a family of deer or other wildlife roaming the mountainside.
Wake up to the scenic views from the master bedroom loft suite and enjoy your morning coffee from the balcony. And for breakfast, the fully equipped kitchen has everything you'll need for that country mountain appetite.
'Our Place' features open beam construction, knotty pine floors, walls and ceilings. Beautifully decorated, featuring three bedrooms (1 king, 2 queen), two full baths, loft, family room with stone fireplace and fully equipped gourmet kitchen, laundry room with washer and dryer.
Lake Lure 'beach' located in town provides lifeguards, a water park, and gorgeous mountain vistas all around you. Lovely evening cruises are a wonderful way to view Lake Lure's beauty and the boats leave every hour. White water rafting, river tubing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, and golfing are all within 30 minutes of 'Our Place'.
Antique and gift shops, art galleries and varied shopping opportunities are within a couple of minutes of Chimney Rock, Bat Cave, and the neighboring cities of Hendersonville, Ashville, Saluda, and Tryon. The infamous Biltmore House and Gardens and the Flat Rock Playhouse (NC State Theater) are also famous local points of interest. Or simply take a picnic and go 'rock hoppin' on the river in Chimney Rock.
We have made it as easy as possible for you to simply pack your clothes, grab some groceries on your way in and kick back.

Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: Ed and Jan are from Columbia, SC.and are business owners. They purchased this land in 2003 from the Peaks at Lake Lure and finished construction on their home in 2005. They have 1 daughter, 2 sons and 2 daughter-in-laws, of which they love to spend time with in their mountain home and have made some great memories. They also enjoy riding thru the mountains and backroads on Ed's Harley.
