Coconut palms grace the entrance to each of two completely private, non-smoking homes. Enter the front gate of either unit, and feel transported into the heart of paradise. Each unit has it's OWN free-form, in-ground, heated pool with water feature, as well as secluded out-door (after-swim) shower. Both units offer soothing hot tubs nestled in a tropical setting, and both feature coral patios perfect for sunbathing, dining, or simple relaxation on comfortable outdoor furniture.

PLEASE NOTE: The pool, hot tub, and outdoor areas for your unit are completely private. They are for your use only, and they are not shared with the other unit.

The two units are identically appointed and thoughtfully designed to evoke a sense of casual elegance. Inside find tasteful Key-West style decor with natural tile flooring throughout. Wide-open living, dining and kitchen areas maximize light and views through expansive sliding glass doors to front and back patios. The gourmet kitchen features cream-colored solid-wood cabinetry, granite countertops, and all new appliances. A queen master bedroom with private tile bath and a queen guest bedroom sleep four comfortably. You will also find a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living area.

Electronic features include Comcast internet access, TV's and DVD's in living room and both bedrooms, CD player and stereo with surround sound in the living room. Each property is privately gated with intercom and electronic gate operation.

These units are completely fenced from one another and from neighboring homes, with tropical foliage providing total privacy for each unit. You can rent an individual unit as a 2-bedroom, 2-bath home with private pool, accomodating 2-6 people, or rent adjacent units, and open a common gate to create a spectacular, expansive villa accomodating 4-12 people, and featuring 2 pools, 2 hot tubs and 2 outdoor showers!

  • This is a wonderful place. Stayed for a week and we all left wanting more. Very short walk to the beach. 10 minute drive to Las Olas. Two nice bedrooms and a fold out couch. The grounds are fabulous, like you are in living in a botanical garden. As soon as I find out the schedule for spring break in 2009 we are scheduling another trip. I can't wait to go back.

  • We stayed two weeks at highland palms in july 2007. This was the best place we ever booked. The garden is beautiful and the house is very cosy and clean. Everything you need to live in the house is available. Its a place for a dream-vacation within walking distance to a nice beach.

  • The Highland Palms exceeds the beauty of the photos on the internet and the amenities of any hotel. Close as it is to the beach, it feels a world away from everything. I thought I'd never leave the beach. As it turned out, we almost never left the house, garden, pool and spa. Wilma seems to have skipped this enchanted paradise. We should all live in such luxury. If flattery is sincere praise, I photographed the decor to steal ideas for my home. My only complaint...I had to go home. But I'll be baaaaaaack!

  • What a beautiful property! A tropical paradise with no evidence at all of last falls hurricanes. Loved the privacy and location, a block from the beach, 2 blocks to the Intercoastal. The inside of the house is as beautiful and comfortable as the outside. Definitely coming back!

  • My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Highland Palms. The pool area has great landscaping and provides a nice, private area to swim and/or relax. The house was as described and includes just about everything you need. The walk to the beach was very short and not too crowded. I will return on our next trip to S. Florida.
