Imagine yourself swaying softly in the hammock while looking out at beautiful views of the lake. Or maybe you see yourself canoeing or kayaking over the calm, crystal clear water as a pair of loons pass by with their young. You may even prefer to tour the lake in the motor boat and fish the very best spots. At the end of the day, there is nothing quite like sitting around the bon fire, toasting s'mores, telling stories, and singing camp songs.
This is all yours to enjoy at beautiful Trout Lake, one of the true gems of the Adirondacks. The kitchen is spacious and the 4 bedrooms will sleep 15 in beds. There's plenty of room to spread out in the great room or the back deck, the 100' of waterfront, or the large back yard. This is a perfect spot to create special vacation memories with your family and friends that will last a lifetime.

We have rented the property many times without any negative response as to its cleanliness. We hire a cleaning service between each rental and pay top dollar to have the camp clean and ready. We offer full sets of clean sheets, towels, blankets and pillows for the renters. The sheets towels and blankets are all new and in excellent condition. The camp comes equipped with a wash machine and dryer for the renters use as well. As for the electrical, when the property was purchased we had a certified electrical contractor install a new electrical service. The extension cords are for air conditioner units and a microwave which many camps do not offer. The electrical problem experienced on this occasion was due to a switch in the kitchen area which controls a certain portion of the electrical in the camp. This switch will be deactivated so the confusion will not occur in the future. As for the Kitchen this camp comes with a newly installed well which delivers pristine drinkable well water. This well water services the full bath and a half in the camp as well as the fully appointed kitchen. This camp has a new electric range and refrigerator and comes equipped with full sets of pots, pans, dishes, mixing bowls and a crock pot. A mixer, large cutting board and ice cream scoop will be added. The smoke detectors will be upgraded and working in the future. As for the boat. It is an aluminum fishing boat purchased new in 2005. The motor is a Johnson 4horse power which is serviced each spring and is in excellent condition. I used the fishing boat and motor the next weekend without any trouble at all. If the motor cuts out on the user it is most likely due to operator error. After the motor starts the choke must be turned off or the motor will flood. Again this camp comes equipped with a boat and motor and many camps do not offer this additional service. We also offer a full line of wearable life vests.Did you find this review helpful? Overall this property is not well kept and the electrical is not set up well. Lots of extension cords running across the floors of the rooms to the point it isn't safe. We encountered an electrical problem when we stayed and were not offered anything for the problem. Although the kitchen did have a lot of stuff, it was not what I would say was a well appointed kitchen. Simple things like a cutting board that was bigger then 5x7 or an ice cream scoop were not there. No mixer or blender either. There are no working smoke detectors. The boat that we had access to as part of the rental was in poor condition and died on us several times while out on the lake. Thankfully, we beautiful weather and brought a number of personal items to make the week enjoyable. We would not recommend this property to friends but encourage them to find another location on this beautiful lake in a peaceful part of NY.Did you find this review helpful?
