Get close access to downtown Murphys and yet stay in a private, scenic location. This charming house is located along a mountain ridgeline offering beautiful views. The spacious rear deck provides a large, comfortable outdoor living and entertainment area. The house, located on 2 1/2 acres of private property, is well furnished and has all the amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The kitchen is outfitted with gourmet pots and pans and cooking and eating utensils. If cooking while on your vacation is not your idea of fun, a variety of restaurants are minutes away. The house has phone service, 2 TVs with DVR and DVD player, free wireless internet access, games, washer and dryer, wood burning stove (wood provided), and is furnished with beautiful antiques, 3 comfortable queen size beds and one bathroom. Murphys Hideaway house provides a restful getaway after your day full of the local activities the area has to offer like visiting wineries and caverns or going antiquing, shopping or hiking

There's a place to while away All the hours of the day; A place to kiss your cares away; Beneath the roof, out in the sticks The couch is soft, the wood stove ticks. The snorers snore, the peckers peck, The view inspires out on the deck. We went to see the Giant Trees. It was not free: we paid the fees. There's lots to do in Calaveras: Went to the Kilns where llamas scared us. Rabbits, birds, beefs, and asses Up so close, don't need no glasses. Chardonnay and Zinfandel The sweetest grapes: we sampled well. We're sad to leave this place today Even though the skies are gray. We sure enjoyed our four-day stay. At Murphys Little Hideaway.

My sister found the rental for my 58th birthday. We had a grand time, Love Murphys. Highlight Sunday night late when sky finally cleared and we went out to look at the stars---OMG! Got great photos and love "amazing Grace" DVD- a must have movie. what a great place you have here. Thanks from all.

One last look from the deck. It's been nice to see the stars rather than to get a glimpse of them through city lights. No fast paced anything this weekend, visiting Murphys, Big Trees, and zip lined at Moaning Caverns. Thank you for the hospitality, peace and quiet and beautiful views. It was a romantic weekend for S's 40th birthday! We had a great time. Gerri was extremely helpful! We will be back! S & J

When can I move in? Love this place so much! Had such a fun adventure here! Came with family and friends for Presidents' Day weekend-5 adults and 1 infant. So warm and accommodating for everyone's needs. Went to Big Trees and inspired by all the beauty. My favorite thing during this trip was walking the big hill up this road! The view is breathtaking and the air is so clean and fresh. There is a nice trail about a 30 minute walk up the hill, 20-25 minutes if you're a faster walker. Cannot wait to return someday. Loved the dragonfly room so much! Thank you for opening such a lovely home to folks like us! Cheers!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your house and the tranquil setting. We celebrated a 70th birthday with our family (daughter, husband and their two boys, a shared family dog and our older daughter). Enjoyed a special weekend, short but memorable with them.

We had a wonderful and relaxing girls' weekend. There were six of us and we were all very comfortable and had a blast. Everything we needed was here. Beautiful views and even the rainy weather was relaxing. Add some nice wine, friends and laughter and that equals the perfect weekend. Can't wait to to it again.
