We enjoyed our two nights up at the cabin. The owners were VERY friendly and accommodating. The surroundings were very peaceful too. We had 3 couples stay and it was comfortable, one of the queen size beds were in a very small what seemed to be office space which would be good for a couple of night but perhaps not more than that. Another bed was located in the living room which was a great bed although the room had no blinds so not much privacy. All in all it was a great, relaxing getaway. We went hiking nearby which was beautiful and had meals out on the large deck area.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children.

Grown children 20's and 30's some with children, adults up to 66. Actual age range was 6 - 66 + one dog, we booked our next years vacation before we left the property. The only thing we needed was another boat and stronger bodies to keep sking/boarding on the perfect water! (We are going to the gym and yes one more boat already set for 2013) Kept my swim suit on the entire time, felt like I was 16 again (current age 59). I put on shorts one night to go to BassHole for dinner. . . that is a must. . . local flavor at it's best. It was fun and like taking a step back in time or even to a different state. The house is perfect for summer fun, lots of room never on top of the others. Both 20's and 30's want to come back with their friends before next summer. Not one of us wanted to go home and can't can't wait to get back. The house has everything, just bring your toys. Maybe an unbrella for the beach. Susan is the best! Had the butter we forgot. First night told her the yellowjackets visited for dinner, the next day the traps were all around the house and no more visits. She kept a close eye the frist two days, making sure we were up and running and then never saw her again. It was the perfect amount of loving care. She is a pro!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

With eighteen of us, from age Eighty Seven to Twelve, there was still room to spread out, a moveable feast and shifting party. Simply a wonderful vacation house; VERY clean, well stocked with such essentials as towels, dishes etc., more than enough places for us all to sleep, plenty of parking, sweet big kitchen...and the deck...just wow. As the weather was so fine, most of us spent the evenings out there with a view of the lake through the pines and oak and ate dinner there as well. Other reviewers are right, the photos don't do it justice at all. The owners were wonderful; accessible but not intrusive. There was an issue with a newly installed WiFi network and it was resolved quickly. We all loved it.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

I would rate this stay an excellent rating if not for a few issues. The owner, Susan was most helpful and I'm positive had we decided to impose on her during the Thanksgiving week end she would have fixed the kitchen faucet and oven door. We managed thru and all meals turned out and dishes got done. The access is easy and try to arrive during daylight, as its pretty dark up there and we fortunately had flashlights and three vehicles scouting in three directions. The GPS in several cars did not reflect accurately, which just added to the initial confusion. Suggest Google sat map and do a fly over. Plenty of space, very warm, cool theme rooms, very homey atmosphere. The views are pretty and serene. Short walks to the water and RXR bridges offering terrific photo ops. We forgot a sentimental granma pass down cooking dish and axe maul and Susan was polite enough to have it delivered to our house here in Redding. Says something about her hospitality right there. Everyone slept well in appointed places and there did not seem to be any gripes about that. We enjoyed the house and would use it again in the future, Totally reccomend to friends and family. We had a party of about 25-30, mixed adults and kids, elderly to 4 yr olds..Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We had a family reunion during the Christmas holiday…over 30 of us spent 5 days in the house. Approx 20 people stayed the nights and the rest ate dinners and hung out during the day. The house couldn’t have been any better. The deck is huge and provided a getaway from being inside. The living and dining room gave us room to set a table for 30 people. There were numerous games provided for not only kids, but grown adults. We never felt like we were on top of one another – we all had our own space. We had a seamless vacation/reunion and it was largely in part due to Susan and the house. Definitely recommended it and will consider going back on our next reunion. Thank you Susan and team!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We had a family reunion (22 of us) and had a really wonderful time. The house is huge and air conditioned and there are beds everywhere. The lake was warm and not very busy. The highlight of the home is the enormous deck with a wrap around bar that could fit everybody. THis place will be even better when there's a pool. Our only complaint is that some of the appliances needed updating (the oven door wouldn't close and the dryer didn't dry very well). The owner was always available and was very gracious. We all had a really wonderful time.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We went there for my birthday and the first thing I saw upon entering was a birthday gift and decorations from the owners. The lady and her son are very friendly and helpful when we couldn't figure out the TV. The house is awesome and kid friendly, especially the special things hidden around the property for them to find. The pirate bedroom was awesome. We had a great time with all of our family and dogs. We would highly recommend it to anyone that wants a huge open floor plan with plenty of room and a foosball table...Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Dealing with the property management agent as well as the home owner was a pleasure. They were more than flexible and accommodating when it came to some of our special requests. The house was FABULOUS! Huge, casual, comfortable, clean.....impressive! A lot of bang for your buck. We had a party of 16 and there was more than enough room. Parking wasn't an issue even with three boats. The boat launch being just down the road was so convenient. We enjoyed the huge deck and bbq as well as the fire pit after dark. We even made friends with one of the neighbors who is a fishing guide and let us borrow some of his equipment. We can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
