Burnaby is just minutes away from all of the surrounding areas of the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD). It is called Beautiful British Columbia for a reason. It is beautiful. As a Vancouverite and Canadian I am not inclined to boast too much of our home but I have never tired of the view. If you like rugged Mountains and Ocean we have it all.
You do not have to go up the Sea to Sky Highway to experience: snow skiing in the morning and golf in the afternoon-it is there for the taking. There is an ocean, rivers, lakes, etc to swim in and forests to be explored. Likely, you will find what you are looking for. Can you walk every where? No, you need to bus, or drive to things and you can walk to others. It depends on you definition of far and your sense of adventure we are bike friendly.
The house is only where you lay your head. It is the city and surrounding areas you want to explore. 35 minutes to the base of Grouse Mountain (hiking, biking ,skiing, zip-lines, walking running, sitting, eating-find what you are looking for.
Our neighborhood is reasonably quiet as the action is still downtown. The house is twenty minutes to downtown by car or on the 135 bus. It is located three blocks uphill of Hastings Street which leads straight into town.

Family stay at Burnaby Vacation Home
My family of 8 people recently stayed here. Besides the house and neighborhood being beautiful, the views from upstairs were incredible. We had a full 180 degree view of downtown and the mountains in the distance. In addition, the owner of the house was very helpful with making sure we were comfortable and satisfied. She also provided us with suggestions on directions, sightseeing, and other local knowledge. Where the house is situation makes it extremely easy to get downtown either by car, cab, or public transit. The furnishings of the house were nice, comfortable, and plentiful. I would recommend this property to family and friends. If we need a house again in the future I would try to get this one again for sure.
