Solano Vallejo was the first condominium development in Moab and is located south of town in beautiful Spanish Valley. It remains the premier property in the area. The townhomes were skillfully designed in a terra cotta Santa Fe style stucco. They blend in organically with the surrounding signature red rock sandstone formations. The landscaping also picks up the desert theme with plants and trees chosen from the area. Outdoor activities abound. Solano Vallejo is on the edge of the Moab golf course which is in a most extraordinary setting. A short walk brings you to a wall of petroglyphs which record the passage of earlier peoples in this red rock country.
My personal condominium was a joy to furnish and decorate. It is filled with images and memorabilia that reflect the mythology and history of the great American west Mixed in are souvenirs of all my Mexican adventures as well as pottery that honors the role of Native Americans as the first people in this beautiful landscape. I love to garden and have planted fresh herbs in my patio garden. They can be found and used by any adventurous chef.
Keywords: Santa Fe style condo on the edge of Moab's beautiful red rock rimmed golf course. Personally furnished and fully equipped to facilitate a fabulous desert retreat.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1995
About the owner: I was born and raised in the Midwest to a father who loved western movies and yearned his whole life to live on the range. I guess I soaked up those genes as I was the one to move to the mountains of Colorado. I live in Aspen next to the Roaring Fork River and run a restaurant dedicated to the eating and enjoyment of raw fish and Asian cuisine. When I have free time I hike, garden, make pots and retreat to my wonderful desert home.
Why the Owner Chose Moab:
My introduction to the majestic beauty of Utah's red rock country happened during my daughter's class trip to Arches National Park. I was amazed and enchanted with the rock formations and vistas and grand arches. I have returned so many times and still have the same reaction. Some years later when friends told me that condos were being built in Moab I jumped at the chance to own a bit of Moab's red rock desert. My home in Moab remains a joy and wonderful getaway for me. This area is also a gateway to the whole Southwest. A drive I really enjoy is to the other side of CanyonLands....Goblin State Park. It is aptly named and the rock formations are a surprise and delight.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Hiking, biking, rafting, and a myriad of other outdoor activities are available seemingly out my door. My condo is far enough from Moab to be a quiet hideaway and close enough to enjoy the shopping and restaurants. Hiking is my favorite activity and the choices are endless....Angel Rock, Hidden Valley, Fischer Towers, Hunter Canyon are some of my favorites. I love to spend an evening under the stars at my favorite restaurant, Desert Bistro. The patio is beautiful and surrounded by lovely gardens. Most of all I enjoy dining on my own patio watching the sunset turn the red rocks into a garden of gold.
