Murrells Inlet house description
This inlet home is a unique older home with an exterior log cabin look sitting right on the creek with two floating docks. Built in 1943, it has a large family room in the center of the house flanked by bedrooms and more bedrooms upstairs. There is a small bedroom over the kitchen with its own separate entrance. The house has a screened porch looking out onto the inlet and a small open porch on the street side of the house. The kitchen has a small eating area and in the family room there is a table that seats 12.
The boat house is a few steps from the main house. Downstairs in the boat house, you’ll find the washer and dryer and a ping pong table. Go upstairs and there is an extraordinary game room with a pool table, a poker table, and TV area. There is also a full bathroom. There is a deck on the front of the boat house overlooking the inlet.
The front yard has lots of chairs for lounging along with a hammock. There is one stationery dock and 2 floating docks for your boats or for crabbing, shrimping, and fishing. There are 2 kayaks for those who want to paddle in the inlet. The back yard is big and provides for lots of parking space that is private from the street.
This is a great place for families to gather. You can be happy right at home or visit the nearby beaches at Garden City and Huntington State Park. Brookgreen Gardens is just down the way and Georgetown is about a 20 minute drive. Of course there is Myrtle Beach 15 minutes to the north with boundless shopping opportunities.

Best vacation ever!
Best vacation ever!
Murrells Inlet is my home town and this is an older Inlet home with lots of character that feels like home. It is minutes away from my family members and that's a bonus too. There was so much to do. The game room is amazing and having two kayaks and two bikes always gave us something to do. Of course the hammock and front porch filled with rocking chairs lets you relax and do nothing at all. The best of both worlds. There is an incredible bike path that goes down through Huntington and I think down to Pawleys Island. There is a big front and back yard. We had so much fun, we only left to run to the store and fruit stand. One word of caution though, the house is packed with everything you need, so if you tend to bring everything but the kitchen sink like I do...don't do it. I mean this house has everything, in addition to pots, pans, sheets and towels and blankets. There are spices, flip flops, robes, hats, koozies, even an old fashioned pull down map of the SC coast, or was it just Murrells Inlet? There is tons of fishing equipment and crab traps. We enjoyed the best blue crabs but didn't have as much luck fishing. There are plenty of inside and outside chairs and coolers. Your clothes, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish washing detergent, clothes detergent/bleach/fabric softener and food is all you will really need.
