My wife and I had a get-a-way weekend to Telluride Bluegrass Festival, but wanted a nicer accommodation than camping and less expense and hustle and bustle than in-town Telluride. The Reach B&B was really nice, very clean/tidy, with beautiful scenery and delicious breakfast.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We rented 2 of the 3 rooms for a weekend around Telluride and were very pleased with our stay. We enjoyed sitting by the wood fire, resting in comfortable beds and the great hospitality of our host. I would recommend The Reach for a relaxing and affordable way to stay near Telluride.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

I wanted to get away from the crowds of Hawaii and to get to the mountains of Colorado. I was there before but Telluride can get pretty bustling during the summer and I wanted a getaway. TheReach is just that. I really had the feeling that I had the house to myself...a nice hike to in any direction got me to natural springs, beaver ponds and views galore. Just took it easy cause you are at 8900ft. Yet in about 30 minutes was walking in downtown Telluride or Ridgway...Sandy's in Ridgway and Le Marmot in Telluride are recommended. Nites at the Ouray hotsprings was soooooo very relaxing. Solar living was a great experience...cause at theReach, you couldn't really even tell we were off the grid. Very nice Home theater for nighttime DVD...you can bring your own but the dvd library was plenty good during my stay. the sense of privacy was there the whole two weeks. I read alot in my beautiful large room( north pole )...practically a suite really. The whole house is actually pretty sweet! Some of the best breakfasts and coffee I have had on vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

When my daughter and I stayed at The Reach for a few nights, we really enjoyed seeing the wildlife and mountain views - as well as eating the delicious food. It was an easy drive to both Telluride and Ourey to enjoy the hot springs. We definitely will stay there again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had no idea how amazing 'The Reach' would be until we arrived....absolutely breathtaking views! The house was spacious and clean, and our host, Alice, could not have been more gracious. We felt right at home immediately and loved every minute of our time there. As much as we enjoyed our trips into Teluride, we always looked forward to coming 'home' to The Reach, so we could sit on the deck and enjoy the beauty that surrounded us. We HIGHLY recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for the perfect getaway.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1986
About the owner: In 1985 my husband & I were camping on what we thought was National Forest land. We were nicely informed by Ralph Lauren's foreman that we were actually on private property. So began our quest for a Rocky Mountain haven for us. We built a vacation cabin in 1986 then an addition in 1989 and moved in full time to raise our two beautiful children with the benefits of a country home. With the children now home only for vacations we want to share this special place with those who appreciate Mother Nature.
