Stylish and well placed in the heart of old Savannah

This apartment is so conveniently located to a nice shopping, eating district and the historic sites of Savannah that we hardly needed the car during our stay. The owner was most helpful with advice on parking and accessing the apartment. The interior was stylish with nice art and plenty of good books, amenities were excellent and everything was clean and well cared for. The only drawback was the three flights of narrow stairs but only because we were travelling with an elderly relative who just had to take her time climbing them, otherwise it was a lovely place and we loved the efficient and unique shower !!

The property was exactly as described and plenty of space for two couples for a weekend or even a week. Janet was fantastic to work with and very helpful. Several other reviews had us concerned but we never heard the street sweeper, just normal city noises. We would definately rent again.

My husband, daughter and I visited Savannah for two nights in September and had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful condo! It was just as described on vrbo. It was beautifully decorated and very clean! It is only a few blocks from the river walk off of Bay St. and very convenient to all of the historic downtown attractions. You never have to move your vehicle unless you want to venture off to Tybee Island. Janet was very accomodating and made sure we were completely satisfied with our stay. We will definately keep this place in mind for our next visit.

Very nice and well located condo

My parents and I just stayed at this condo for 3 nights: it was neat and clean and the home decor was gorgeous. Location of the condo is ideal: it is in close vicinity to all the attractions in Savannah. The beds were very comfortable, and we were able to park the car just below the windows (there was several spots available: parking was NOT a problem). This condo was everything we hoped for and more. It is clean and well equipped; the linens and towels are of a quality you would choose for your own home. The family room is spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect and within easy walking distance to all points of interest. Booking was easy and working with the owner was pleasant and prompt. We absolutely recommend this condo!

We were so fortunate to find this apartment to stay in with our grand daughters. It is so perfectly located that we did not move our car after unloading it the whole time we were there. Just a few blocks to everything we wanted to see. We walked in the opposite direction from the river on Abercorn and found great places to eat and shop that are where the locals eat and shop. In the evenings we sat on the balcony and watched the horse drawn carriages, walking tours and trolley tours go by. We look forward to returning to further explore beautiful Savannah.

My son (19) and I were in town for a few days. What a beautiful condo in an excellent location - quiet and peaceful yet so close to everything. Condo has everything you need for your stay. Janet is great and gave us many excellent lunch and dinner recomendations. Highly recomended!! We hope to stay in Condo next summer.

Remarkable Condo in North Historic District

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights and had an amazing time! The condo is well decorated and has all the creature comforts of home. We especially liked the balcony for drinking coffee in the morning and having a clothes washer and dryer in the condo. I recommend leaving your car parked after obtaining a visitors pass as the condo is in the perfect location for walking to see all the sights in downtown Savannah. I would also like to point out that Janet is extremely responsive and great to deal with. Thanks again!

Absolurely fell in love with this condo. Old Savannah charm with modern updates. Great location in historic district. Close enough to walk everywhere yet just enough away from everything to enjoy early morning coffee outside on the balcony. I have been going to Savannah every six weeks for two years, and have finally found a "home" away from home. I will always stay at 117 Lincoln. Janet was a pleasure to work with. Thank you, Janet!

Pros; Its in a central location and the shower is amazing! Cons; The beds are too small, bugs in the kitchen, and third floor hike The parking is horrible!!!!

Owner response: Did you use my parking strategies? Buildings and cities constructed before cars were common do present challenges. Sounds like you were overwhelmed. As noted in the description, the condo is at the top of two flights of stairs and the beds are queen-sized so those should not have been a surprise. I checked with our housekeeper. She reports that she has “never, ever” seen any bugs. Next time, please call me. I’ll come by with a can of Raid. The nature of staying in individually-owned properties is to engage your sense of adventure. Perhaps you require more predictability. Sorry you weren’t satisfied. Best wishes, Janet

I will remember our stay at this amazing condo for the rest of my life. We arrived into town to celebrate my upcoming 30th birthday with my boyfriend and best friends. The minute we walked into the condo, I knew it was the perfect place for our mini vacation in the south. The whole vibe about this place is comforting and rejuvenating. The layout is spacious, the colors and decor throughout are vibrant and it's in a great location - within walking distance to everything Savannah has to offer. And the reason that this condo will forever be in my memories is because it was on this vacation when my boyfriend proposed! Savannah was the perfect setting, the condo had such easy, laid-back feel and we'll definitely be back remember this exciting time in our lives. -Jen

My boyfriend and I stayed at this lovely condo for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The apartment is modern, nicely decorated, and has an updated kitchen and bathroom. Also, the apartment is located right in downtown historic Savannah and within very easy walking distance to everything. It was so much better staying in an apartment versus a hotel. It made Savannah feel more like home! I highly recommend this apartment.

My wife and I came to Savannah for our 40th wedding anniversary. We enjoy history, old architecture, shopping, and good food. We were not disappointed. Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is located in a secure building in a great location. We took advantage of the parking passes and once we found a good spot the car rarely moved. While the stairs do provide a workout the condo is well worth the climb. Everything was clean and Janet is a pleasure to work with! She helped us with dinner recommendations and was very helpful. They keep brocures on hand as well as a book on walking tours. If you want to stay in they have plenty of books, some dvd's, and a nice tv. The four sprayers in addition to the rain head shower in the bath were an added bonus after walking all day. It was nice to be able to do laundry and we stocked the refrigerator and actually cooked some. There was nothing better than spending time on the balcony and enjoying the carriage rides passing by and taking a two block stoll in the evening for Leopolds Ice Cream. Our group of four definitely enjoyed this unit and would recommend it to others wanting to visit beautiful Savannah.

Absolutely beautiful condo! It is bright, open, and beautifully decorated. It was perfect for our girls’ weekend getaway. We were only a few blocks away from shops, restaurants, and bars and did not need to use our car the entire weekend. I have visited Savannah before, but I have never experienced the city like this—with all of the comforts of home! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay. We will definitely be back again!

Great condo in a great location

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. it was such a great base from which to explore the beautiful city of Savannah. Everything was so close - you could hear the sound of the horses' hooves as the carriages went by. The place is lovely, very spacious and so nicely decorated. I particularly enjoyed the rainhead shower. On one of the warmer days, we enjoyed wine and cheese on the balcony. The bed was comfortable and it was nice having two TVs. We didn't eat in much, but the kitchen was well-stocked for anyone wanting to cook. Janet was extremely helpful with recommendations for tours and restaurants even offering to make a reservation for us at one restaurant. I am glad I took her suggestion and did Jonathan's Architectural Tour of Savannah (which brought us right next to several historic building within a block of the condo!).

Great location in a great condo

We loved the condo - it was such a great base from which to explore the beautiful city of Savannah. The place is lovely - so nicely decorated just as it appears in the pictures. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying wine and cheese as the horse drawn carriages drove by. The location was perfect - everything was within walking distance: historical houses, great restaurants (don't miss the Pink House) and of course the beautiful squares. Parking is a non-issue as there is street parking and several parking garages within a block or so. The rainhead shower was lovely. We didn't do much cooking but everything you could possibly need is in the kitchen. Janet was extremely helpful and gave us useful suggestions for restaurants and tours. I particularly enjoyed the Architectural Walking Tour she recommended.

Beautiful Place to Stay

This top floor condominium is stylishly decorated, comfortable, full of light and very well located in the historic section of Savannah. It is walkable to great shops, squares and restaurants, and on a safe and pretty street. The living room is really nice to spend time in, as are the bedrooms. Cooking was easy in the kitchen. Janet Wagner provided us with great recommendations for restaurants - from a great Christmas brunch to a delicious traditional Southern family place. I would highly recommend it - particularly for a family wanting some space and independence as well as time together.

This condo is fabulous. It has plenty of room! The decor is wonderful from the art deco stained glass dining room light to the stained glass transoms at each doorway. The kitchen is efficient and was perfect for me to bake desserts for a rehearsal dinner. Our favorite feature, however, was the balcony. We could sit there with our morning coffee or evening cocktail and watch carriages and ghost tours walk by. And did I mention it is conveniently located to walk anywhere in the Historic District?

Visited for a girls weekend and it was a great location to walk to everything - River Street, City Market and shopping were all close! Sitting out on the small porch overlooking the carriages and ghost tours and sipping wine was great. The interior was comfortable and nicely decorated. I loved all the stain glass! This condo was extremely nice, clean and comfortable with all the amenities one could request. It was lovely hearing the clip-clop of the horses as the carriages passed below our windows. Location was perfect, with walking distance to historical attractions, beautiful squares, downtown, the riverfront, etc. Janet and Carmen were wonderful to us. I would recommend this property to anyone on holiday in Savannah. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to enjoy this beautiful condo and my home city, Savannah. "We" are usually 4 Golfers -- this trip we were two ladies on a holiday!

We had an awesome time staying at this condo in historic Savannah. The location is perfect - right in the historic area. We easily walked to the Pirate's House and River Street. My mother, daughter and I just returned from a wonderful vacation to the south, and one of the highlights of our trip was staying in this fabulous condo in Savannah. Three generations of women under one roof can be difficult at times, but the space that was available in this unit made every moment enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed. Every painting on the wall was a pleasure to look at, and every chair comfortable to sit in. We were in the heart of all the action in the historic district and there were many sites to visit right around the corner, which made it an easy walk for my 82 year old mom. There are winding stairs up to the third floor where this unit is located, but my elderly mom did it three or four times a day. I am looking forward to returning to this location in the future. Janet was so helpful to me in planning this trip and I highly recommend this rental. It was very clean, and everything that we needed was right there for us. We loved Leopolds Ice Cream Parlor, Gooseberrys for breakfast and lunch, and the Olde Pink House for Dinner. Check out the Paris Market for shopping and the top of the Bohemian Hotel for a cocktail. We had a fun time on Tara's Ghost Tour, and you must get to Forysth Park. Three generations of women couldn't have been happier. Thanks, Janet.

LOVED MY TRIP TO SAVANNAH

PROS: -awesome location (close to shopping, dining, sightseeing, bars/clubs, yet quiet and secluded) -condo is clean (clean sheets, towels, living areas) -large enough for four to sleep comfortably (2br, 1 b) -great info pack (used the Savannah walking tour to do our own, saved $$$) -shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, lotion, and hair dryer available along with full kitchen and washer/dryer if needed CONS: -3rd floor condo (lots of stairs) -shower did not drain well -older condo, so warped floors (not a big deal) -paid a $75.00 cleaning fee, but had to take out trash, put towels in washer, and run dishwasher -trash can reeked of cigarettes (we are not smokers) -no overhead lights in the bedroom (lamp was on the other side of bed) -dangerous footboard (hit my knee twice! ouch!) OVERALL: Enjoyed my stay! I recommend a couple eating places- KayakCafe, Vinnie Van Go Gos, and Hueys. We did the Tara Tours Haunted Pub Crawl and it was decent, not blown away.

Great Place To Stay

Four of us (two couples) stayed here for three nights at the end of July, The rental process was excellent and the owner was very helpful. The accommodation is lovely and in a fabulous position. The air conditioning was superb especially as temperatures were in the low 100's during our stay. The decor of the apartment is fab and full of character, we loved the wooden floors. The linen and towels were excellent, and there is everything you need in the kitchen, apart from a kettle, which is what us Brits need for making tea :). The apartment is located in the historic district of the town and is an ideal base for exploring this wonderful city. Although the condo is on the third floor, we did not find the stairs an issue, but older people may struggle. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to visit Savannah.

X-SO-LENT!

We stopped in Savannah for 2 nights on our way to NC. This place was excellent. Close to everything downtown. Parking is scarce so we used the parking garage 1 block away. Unit has all the amenities one could ask for. Our 6 year old loved the balcony and all of the small parks in the surrounding area. Nothing to do with the condo, but we must have chosen the wrong restaurants. Pirate's House was only of good quality and overpriced. The only note worthy dish was the Fried Green Tomato Stack appetizer. The Seafood Au Gratin had no flavor whatsoever. Can't even remember the other restaurant as the meal was way below par. Our son loved the river trolley and the train museum. Lots of history there; the train ride was a complete waste of time although "SEA" still loved. The Cuban restaurant across the train museum was pretty good though.

New Fav Rental in Savannah

My family stayed at the Lincoln Street condo the 1st week of July this year and we loved it! The pictures really don't do the place justice or portray how spacious it is. It has all of the modern conveniences you wish for while maintaining the lovely character and charm of the historic building. There are lovely fireplaces, moldings, hardwood floors and high ceilings. The beds, couches, and easy chairs were very comfortable, linens top quality and both the bath and kitchen were well stocked. As previously stated the balcony is lovely and we enjoyed it every morning/evening either watching people make their way into/out of the city or watching the squirrels in the beautiful tree across the street. The location can't be beat. You are within walking distance to almost everything. About the stairs, they are tough. However, that said I am a chubby over 50 gal and I managed it just fine and felt less guilty about all our visits to Leopolds. Janet was great to work with and I asked endless questions! And the parking isn't as complex as envisioned-we had no problems. This is our family's new favorite place in Savannah and we will most definitely return.

We were at the Condo from 3/30 to 4/4 2011. I can't say enough about the condo. Perfectly located, within walking distance of great restaurants, tours and shopping. Very clean, comfortable and beautiful ,fit the 4 of us just perfect. Janet was wonderful to work with, quick to respond to emails and she made the whole renting process very easy. My 4 (30-something) girlfriends and I stayed at this place for a weekend in March. The location is GREAT! We didn't have to get in our car to go anywhere all weekend. We LOVED being on the top floor and watching the people and carriages go by throughout the weekend. We even saw a wedding next door on Saturday night. The couch is VERY comfortable and the towels are GREAT. The kitchen ammenities were more than sufficient as we cooked breakfast all three mornings and made some yummy drinks each evening in the blender. The shower and bathroom was perfect and we had no problems getting all 4 of us ready each morning and evening. This is an awesome place at a even more awesome price. We hope to be back and stay here again soon! Janet was great to work with and communicated in a prompt and timely manner. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great and affordable place to stay in Savannah, GA.

Comfy condo in great location

We stayed in the Lincoln Street location for a long weekend and were very happy. It was close to Broughton, Bay & River Streets. The stairs were a bit challenging but the layout of the condo more than made up for that. The living room was comfortable and both bedrooms were a good size. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat a take out dinner and have drinks. The bathroom was big but the door handle squeaked very loudly, only a problem in the middle of the night. Wonderful condo, perfect location

The condo was exactly what the description and photos described. We were very happy with our stay and for two couples, it was an excellent deal. We were walking distance to everything and will try to stay here again on our next trip to Savannah. The balcony was especially great to go outside to drink coffee in the morning or wine at night. A note on street parking: for weekend stayers, the parking around the corner and directly in front of the building have street cleaners on Saturday very early morning and Saturday night, respectively. We ended up moving our car and parking in three separate locations to avoid tickets. While this really wasn't a big deal to us, the final location where we parked on Saturday evening was at Olgethorpe and Habersham and had street cleaners on Wednesdays, so that would have been perfect for the entire weekend. It was only a couple of blocks away and that's where we will park in the future. Also, there was some noise at night mainly from the street cleaners, other condos, and our family when anyone got up to go to the bathroom or the early risers who got up to make coffee. It's an old building with beautiful hardwood floors that squeak! We used an app on our phone called "white noise" but a pair of ear plugs would do, too.

Lovely large condo inthe perfect location. Very easy walk to popular Broughton and River St. Short distance to popular restuarants and historic homes. The living room is large with plenty of comfortable seating. Pretty condo with upscale decorating. my family had agreat stay and we plan on coming back again.

We stayed at the condo Thanksgiving week. The condo looked just like the photos and was well maintained and clean. A great location in the historic district and close to the river. We walked everywhere. The Old Pink Lady was our favorite restaurant and an easy walk. Savannah is a charming city and this condo is a great place to stay while enjoying the city.

The condo has a wonderful old feeling with lots of character. We truly enjoyed the balcony- while out on it, we could still be part of the conversation inside the main living room. The beds were comfortable and cozy, though I kept hitting my shins on the ends. We had a good time, and would return.

We were in town for a wedding and decided to come in a few days early to see the sights. We found this condo unit which worked out better than we could have expected. Janet was very helpful in getting us squared away and very patient with me when I forgot to submit the first payment on time! The condo is very clean and a great place to relax for two couples like our group that wanted to stay for cheaper than a hotel and just as many amenities. The ability to cook your own food and even wash your clothes was great. The rooms were spacious and the living room proved a great spot to unwind. The location is probably one of the most amazing aspects because it literally is close to everything you could want to do in the historic district including bars and restaurants. Owens Thomas is literally across the street. The rest of the building was very quiet and seemed like a safe neighborhood. The only thing that was unfortunate was the lack of a grocery store within walking distance. There is a CVS that is close but the hours are screwy and the grocery store is a jaunt by foot. If you have a car no problem or are willing to get a cab. I would reccomend that instead of hoofing it. And for anyone worried about the Savannah heat, the AC unit in this condo works WELL! Great location, great space, would stay there again for sure.

The location was fantastic. We could not ask for more. The condominium was very tastefully decorated and had a lot of charm. Very roomy and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay at Savannah and our stay here made a tremendous difference. It was like being home away from home.

My husband, sister and brother-in-law and I had a great time in this beautiful condo in downtown Savannah. The condo was very nice, clean and convenient location near Broughton St. lots of shopping and restaurants. The owner is very nice, easy to get in contact and we will stay here again in the future!

Speaking for the rest of the family, we had a blast in Savannah and one of the best aspects of the vacation was staying at your beautiful, spacious, conveniently-located condo. We all commented at one time or other that it was the best arrangement we've ever experienced on a vacation. We had our own bedrooms (the girls tend to scatter their "stuff" all over a standard hotel room), and the central meeting places - the dining room and living room - were great to have. Also, having a washer and dryer at our disposal was a great convenience. Due to the hot, steamy weather that was in abundance in the Savannah area in early August, it was comforting to know that we could wash some of our soggy clothes and wear them again. Thanks again. I'll remember to contact you in the future, when I'm visiting the area on business.

Mom and daughter trip to Savannah July 26-28. The condo is absolutley wonderful and in a perfect spot.You can walk everywhere. The condo is lovely and you feel like you are really part of the Savannah. Great to sit out on the balcony and sip wine and watch the people and the horse carriages go by. The place is spotless, comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend for a short or long stay.

This was our 6th time visiting Savannah, this location was perfect! The beds were comfy,bath towels fluffy,nice little balcony to sit out on and it's within walking distance to lots of cool places! We went to leopolds ice-cream every night! Janet is great to work with I would defiantly plan to stay at this location again we had a great time!

This condo was a great place to stay! It was clean and captured the charm of both modern and historic Savannah. The balcony was well-used for a relaxing evening. We spent the week for my master's thesis presentation and graduation from SCAD, and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. I would recommend this to anyone and will be visiting again!

My friends and I loved the condo and the location was perfect. We purchased a $7 parking pass for 1 day, then the parking on the street and garages was free from Friday 5pm through Sunday. The accommodations were so clean, comfortable and "homey." Yes, the stairs were bit of a climb, but good exercise after all the great food in Savannah! We had a problem with the air conditioning upon arrival, and Janet had someone out to fix it immediately. She called several times to check on us, and even gave us a restaurant gift certificate for our inconvenience. The entire rental process was easy and so credible. We hope to make this our yearly girl's getaway trip, and stay in this property if possible. The living area was so comfortable with ample seating. The kitchen was more than adequate and the dining area lovely with beautiful light fixtures. The balcony was so peaceful and cool, quite and serene We walked 2 blocks for our ghost tour, 1 block to our tea at Davenport House and several short blocks to River Street. The weekend was divine, and thanks so much, Janet, as you were great!

the parking was a little difficult and the climb to the third floor was rough some days after walking around for hours. the "fully-stocked kitchen" wasn't really fully stocked. there were no measuring cups and a few other essentials like that. but, those were really minor things that didn't really affect our visit. overall it was a fantastic trip and a great apartment! we really enjoyed the ability to cook unlike at a hotel where we wouldn't have had that option. we also really enjoyed the proximity to everything. we walked everywhere except the two days we went out of savannah. the area was nice and we even had dinner on the balcony one evening. the beds were REALLY comfortable! working with janet was good as well. she was very friendly and very helpful.

Owner response: You must be great cooks! The dry measuring cups are in the drawer next to the fridge; but it's true, we don't have liquid measuring cups at this time. I wish the city would let me stock visitor parking passes. Believe me, I asked! The Bryan Street Garage, about 4 blocks away, sells 24 and 48 hour passes. Meters only need to be paid M-F, 8 am-5 pm, so parking is not an issue for weekend guests. If you're visiting a whole week, another option is to leave your car in one of the garages. From our location you can walk everywhere! Being on the top floor is wonderful in many ways: a good view and away from traffic noise. I'm sorry if the two flights of stairs were hard on your parents. But I'm happy to see that once in the condo you found it to be an oasis! Looking forward to hosting you again!
