LOVE this house!
LOVE this house!
Our family of 5 had a terrific trip over Spring Break in April 2010. The house is amazingly clean and so nicely decorated. Being right across the street from the beach was super convenient and the rooftop seating allowed us to see the Space Shuttle launch at 5 am one day! Could not have asked for a nicer owner to work with. John went above and beyond in every way to be a great communicator and all around wonderful person. We will be back to this house for sure!

About the owner: My wife and I moved here from Atlanta 9 years ago and we've enjoyed living on Amelia Island immensely. We enjoy the lifestyle that Amelia Island offers... from the pristine marshes of the creeks and rivers of the intracoastal waterway to the Victorian era of the downtown historic district. Amelia Island offers something for everyone. I am in the real estate business so I find great satisfaction in selling property, particularly to newcomers to the island...it's exciting to see them buy a piece of paradise.
Why the Owner Chose Other Fernandina Beach Properties:
Amelia Island is unlike any other place along the eastern seaboard. My wife and I fell in love with the island during our first visit in 1989. We enjoy the ambiance of the downtown historic district with its cobblestone streets and gaslights, the clip clopping of the horse-drawn carriages, the quaint shops and restaurants along Centre Street, the beautifully restored Victorian homes and the spanish built church of St. Michael's. We never tire of sitting on the back porch of Brett's by the downtown marina, sipping a cool drink while gazing over the harbour to take in the magnificent sunsets with the silhouettes of sailboats along the intracoastal waterway. For a golfer or fisherman, there's no better place! The island boasts over 108 holes of golf while the intracoastal waterway and ocean provide plenty of fish!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our 'Nantucket' beach house is unique in many ways. I love going up to the upper deck or 'widow's peak' to catch a sunrise or sipping a scotch in the evenings while watching the ocean's goings-on...the shrimp boats bobbing with their outstretched nets or gazing at the myriad of stars when the sun goes to sleep. I love the outdoor shower with hot & cold water. I love our own private walkover (no steps) with our sitting area to scope the beach and our shower w/ hose bib to rinse the day's salt and sand. I love our large kitchen to cook & entertain whle peering out the window at the maritime forest standing behind our house. I love the nautical flair our 'Nantucket' beach house offers with all of its coastal antiques and artwork by local artists.
