Awesome views are everywhere!! Out every window (and skylight)! Want a different view? Look out a different window! And there are decks off of every room. Watching the May snow was awesome! It was like nature coming to you while you are warm and comfortable in a user-friendly house! This place has a quiet, private, serenity to it that lets you feel like you are alone with nature (and still have all the modern conveniences-like the hot tub, ahhh). And all only minutes from town. I have found heaven and will be back!

My family recently stayed in The Overlook House and it was perfect! The views from the hot tub and the entire property are AMAZING!! The house was clean and had all necessary accommodations. Everything was in working order, and the owner made himself available by phone and email if we would have encountered any issues. We have visited Estes Park 7 times and this was our first stay in this house, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet stay with beautiful views of Estes Valley and the surrounding Rocky Mountains!

We stayed at Dean's rental over New Year 2013. The view is spectacular, the home very comfortable, everything works and all is thoughtfully laid out. Easy access to RMNP and the town of Estes Park. It is really a gem of a place in this setting. The only minor issue we had was it would have been helpful to have extra blankets and larger towels (both for shower and hot tub). The house is plenty well heated, but 10 degrees on top of a mountain is still 10 degrees. Would love to come back, and that's what matters.

This place is beautiful and very private. The deck is even nicer than pictured. The house itself is very clean, the kitchen well equipped, and everything was in good working order. The views are spectacular, especially watching the morning sunlight reflect off the mountains. Rocky Mountain National Park is very close, and we just hiked and hiked every day, then came back for a hot tub soak and dinner.

We visit Estes Park often but this was our first time to the Overlook House. It feels like you are miles away from civilization, when, in fact, you can nearly see the entrance to RMNP from the deck. And the deck was irresistible. I had a hiking injury that sidelined me for the week. What a great place to recuperate! Also has a very solid high speed Internet connection, so for those of us who like to mix recreation with remote work, it was perfect. We had two couples and two single adults and everyone had room to spare. We'd love to stay there again and recommend it highly.

We (2 couples) just returned from a lovely stay at The Overlook House. I'm happy to share that the property is even better than pictured...a rare thing! Clean, well-equipped, well located and comfortably furnished. Very quiet and relaxing environment to return to after a full day of activities. The owner was immediately responsive to questions and checked on our satisfaction following our arrival. There are three floors, with the two sleeping floors separated by the living/dining/kitchen/laundry, providing total privacy for each couple or family. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and wish to thank the owners for their courtesy.

We couldn't have asked for anything more than what the Overlook House House has to offer: Incredible views! Total privacy! (OK, we did share with a lot of birds!) Complete comfort: sleep-inducing beds, sink-into living-room couches and chairs, substantial outdoor furniture! Extremely clean! Exceptionally well-equipped and furnished! ...and on and on... Your attention to the details was so appreciated! We hope to come back. We will definitely recommend Overlook House to everyone planning an Estes Park trip. If someone doesn't like this one, they should stay home. :-)

Our family loved the Overlook house. It was everything that they said it was plus! The views were beautiful. We enjoyed the outside space, deck and hot tube. Such a wonderful area to relax and enjoy nature. The house was very clean and well maintained. Dean was very helpful in giving us advise for places to eat etc. However, the kitchen was so well equiped that we cooked in most of the time. It was so nice and comfortable we didn't want to leave. Loved seeing the wild life including a black bear. We would highly recommend this home, and we hope to return sometime in the near future.
