Why the Owner Chose Redding
The moment I drove down this 400 foot long driveway viewing the river I was mesmerized with this hidden jewell in the center of Redding. I knew I had to figure out a way to make it mine. I didn't realize at the time, that I would be making it available to others as a vacation rental. The more friends that came to visit were astounded at the views, privacy and uniqueness of the property,so I decided it would make a great vacation place for others to enjoy. I never tire of seeing Bald Eagles fly by, deer out in the pasture below and the train coming around the bend on the historic Diestlehorst trestle. It's a true gem!
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
Walk, run, or bike to the River Trail System just up the block. Walk to Starbucks or the Antique Mall. Only 3 miles to Bethel Church.
So many visitors love the convenient location, yet the feeling of complete nature.
Owner's Map of Redding
I moved to Redding in 1979 and have loved living here for so many reasons...the beautiful mountains,Whiskeytown & Shasta Lakes, the Sacramento River flowing through town and all of the outdoor recreational activities available here. I began selling Real Estate in 1990 and decided that one day I would love to live by the river. My dream came true 3 years ago when I was blessed with the opportunity to purchase one of the most unique & "ONE OF A KIND" properties in Redding. Now I love the opportunity to share it with others...

Our stay was very enjoyable. We found it very relaxing and peacefull with a fantastic view! The first night we sat out on the patio very late just enjoying the view and the lights reflecting off the river. We loved it so much we stayed an extra unplanned night. It was great that it is so close to town but you really feel like your by yourself. We will be back. Thank you. R & P

We just stayed at this wonderful cottage for 4 nights and had the most relaxing and enjoyable time. Ronda had the cottage air conditioning turned on and had the music turned on, so when we walked in, it was like arriving at home. We loved the comfortable, soft bed. The best part of this property is the wonderful country feel and the excellent view of the river. We sat inside in the easy chairs every evening in front of the large window overlooking the river. It was great. This property was exactly as described in the listing. The property is within a few short miles of virtually every Redding shopping area, the Sundial Bridge, etc. I have a feeling we'll be back sometime, because it was such a memorable experience.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.

What a spot! Downtown Redding, so close, but with the "illusion of seclusion". We'll definately keep this in mind when our next visit to the area comes up--sure beats a hotel for the homey comforts and the hospitality.

All of my business colleagues were envious of my "riverside retreat cottage", which has been sublime compared to their stay @ LaQuinta!! I love the design sensibilities that you've used to create a true getaway. I enjoyed watching the train, birds, clouds & even the night time lights reflected in the river--the deer even visited at dusk. I felt so relaxed during my stay I hardly realized my true purpose for being here--to work. Thanks for sharing your retreat & giving me a shot at balancing life & work. Cheers and all the best as you continue to share your Riverside Cottage with unsuspecting travellers!
