Enjoyed our stay at Casa del Mar. Grounds are meticulously landscaped. Pool area and beach were clean and had plenty of lounge chairs. Condo was very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. The carpet needs shampooing though. Enjoyed my morning coffee in the sunroom looking at the gulf. Walked the beach for miles every morning. Not many restaurants or shops within walking distance. Public transportation is easily accessible and there is a free trolley from the public beach. Free wifi in the condo was appreciated. I would definitely return and highly recommend Casa del Mar.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Del Mar. The condo was nicely furnished with everything we needed. The grounds were well maintained and the pool was inviting. The check in and out procedures were very smooth and went quickly. We enjoyed day trips to the Ringling circus and museum and the Mote Aquarium, both being within a short drive. We would definitely come back again and recommend Casa Del Mar to anyone looking for a nice relaxing vacation.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at Casa del Mar was outstanding. The condo is adorable, immaculate and has plenty of space for the whole family to relax (not to mention flatscreen TVs in every room). The beach is gorgeous and the water is crystal clear. This is a great place to come and unplug, but it's also minutes from great shopping and restaurants in St. Armands Circle if you're looking for a night out. If you forget your own beach towels you can buy them in the main office. A great value for the experience!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

The condo is beautiful, has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Spacious and perfectly decorated. You can see the water from the sunrooom windows. Quiet property, nice pool, uncrowded beach with powder soft sand and plenty of lounge chairs! The folks at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We even got an escorted walk to our condo one night when it was raining and dark by the security guard. The grounds are landscaped beautifully with orchids and roses. Try the grouper sandwich at the place next door. Will definitely be back.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Weatherwas: Wonderful - Sunny Skies and partly cloudy some days. Some Wonderful things we did: Spent [lenty of time playing on the beach. Visited friends in Westly Chapel. Went to Clearwater Aquairium to see "Winter the Dolphin." A manatee swam near us while swimming off the beach. It was awesome! Many wonderful shells. Moments & Gilmpses: We found a giant shell and gave it to our six year old who discovered a "pinchy crab" inside - it was so funny and exciting. We watched him for some time. We really hope we will be able to come back soon! We loved the beach and enjoyed our time here very much!

The Weather was(Kids): Great! It lighning'd every day but sunny too. Things we did: Watche sunset. Went to St. Armands Circle. Saw turtle release. Discovered: Dolphins jumping. Lisa's (mom's) birthday.

The weather was: Beautiful! Hot and Sunny. Perfect beach weather, only rained the mrning we left. Some things we did: Relaxed. Enjoyed the closed Lanai tremendously. Went deep sea fishing once. Ate at the Lazy Lobster - Very Good! Master very comfy! (Kids- "We had a blast at the beach. Its so close to the room. Hope to come back real soon.)

PERFECT! Sunny every day - high 70's low 80's. Thank you. Your place is very homey and nicely decorated. Wonderful things we did: Sat on the beach, read, played cards at 4:00pm with friends, dinner, gatherings with family, games at night, early am runs, 2 hour tennis games, Kilwins ice cream

This was our second time at Casa Del Mar, and we loved it. Everyone is so friendly (both guests & staff), and the grounds are very nice. The beach never feels crowded, nor does the pool. The condo we stayed in was very nice, as well. We will definitely return!

Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa del Mar. Unit 16F was nicely appointed and had everythink we needed (even a mixer so we could make a quick cake). The rooms were clean, and the condo had great televisions in all the bedrooms in addition to the living room. The weather was heaven sent, and so we utilized the pool and beach a lot. I have never seen so many shells - beachcombing heaven. The wireless internet worked flawlessly, and we were very comfortable in general. Great area, great facilities. We'll definitely stay again!

This condo is in a beautiful location on Longboat Key. Condo is close to pool and beach. Condo is nicley decorated and well equipped with every thing you need for a comfortable stay. Washer/dryer in unit is a plus. Casa Del Mar is one of the nicest locations on Longobat Key. we hope to return in the future.

Weather: "Great for 4 days, then Tropical storm Arlene dampend things a bit!" What we did: "Walked on the beach, watch sunsets, relax, watch the wildlife. enjoy the beautiful landscaping" What we saw and discovered: "Carraguilos, dolphins, construction traffic between Tampa and Orlando on I-4, but mostly we just enjoyed Sarrasota and Longboat Key." (Owner comment: Since then, Sarasota Airport has become a Jet Blue hub, and Continental fares have come down accordingly as a result...direct fare from Newark, NJ to Sarasota have become way more economical than to Tampa, and it's a 20-min drive door-to-door to Casa del Mar, vs 1-hr ride. Interstates back to Tampa are without a convenient place to gas up on way back.) Moments & Glimpses "Casa del Mar (especially unit 16F) is like a home. The beach is so quiet and everyone is so friendly, courteous, and respects the rules and the environment. Thats a refreshing change from Atlanta (where we are from). We'll be back! Thanks for all the little touches that make 16F so comfy!"

(13 years old)"Weather was perfect Mid -80's & sunny all week. Rented waverunners, & boat, played tennis, visited friends, swam, fished. Longboat key has the most beautiful beaches in the surrounding area!!! Great restaurants at St. Armands circle. Saw many dolfins!!! Caught fish!!! Spent lots of family time!!! 16F is an awesome condo. Casa del Mar is absolutely perfect. We hope to visit again soon! (Mom's version) Weather: "Perfect everyday Low 80's and no humidity. Shelled, relaxed, rented a cool boat, saw a family of dolphins. I was here many years ago when I was a young girl - It's still so beautiful. Family time, laughs, Great time with friends. You have such a lovely place. All your wonderful decorations, Especially the story of the sand dollar. We are devout Christians and we know thaat this place is a gift from God. "Chilly the first 2 days and mid-70's the rest of the week...visited family in Sarasota and Venice, found great shells, swam and relaxed. Discovered how brave the gulls are...6 year old son had a pb&j sandwich taken right out of his hand by a seagull." "We had a lovely and relaxing week here. The condo was well equipped, and I especially like the personnal touches like the CD's" (Owners Comment: Unit now has its own real guitar, for those enthusiasts, as of 12/05) "Longboat Key is my favorite place in the Sarasota area. "Perfect - low 80's and clear with light winds....enjoyed setting sun, swam many times in the pool, walked the beach, shopped a little, and ate plenty of fish in local restaurants...This is our 6th visit to Casa del Mar and as always it is beautifully kept and well managed. 16F is very comfortably appointed and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - Thank you very much - Hope to return late '05" (From Guestbook in Unit 16F)
