Bay View Park is a private 'locals' community located 1/4 mile south of South Bethany. Easy access to the most beautiful state beach south of the Indian River Inlet. Parking permit included - walk down a private path to the beach. Situated on the edge of the Little Assawoman Bay, famous for fishing, crabbing, and boating.

What a great spot! I stayed here with my wife, her parents and my parents and we all loved the house and location. The house is very beautiful, clean and cozy with a unique and interesting design. Although it is just outside of Bethany Beach it is in a quiet neighborhood with pleasant canal views and easy walking access to a quiet part of the beach. We also had the chance to meet one of the owners, who was very helpful and kind as we planned our trip. I highly recommend staying here-- we plan to visit again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks to our wonderful visitors this year, we have shells lining our garden, and a few nice personal touches inside. It's so nice to have people who appreciate our house as much as we do, and who do things to help make it even more inviting.

We stayed at the house on Todd Drive for a long weekend in late September. The house is wonderful. Well equipped and well maintained. We especially loved the layout; the water views and abundant natural light from all angles; the morning sun in the dining area as we ate breakfast; the space to spread out across three levels or hang out together comfortably; the quiet neighborhood. The canal-front location was great -- allowing us to relax on the beach early in the day and then kayak and crab on the canal in the afternoon sun. We have stayed in Bethany many times over the years, but we were not very familiar with South Bethany and didn't know about Bay View Park at all. We are now converts and hope to return soon.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We loved staying in this house. Good location, spacious, clean and updated. The beach access was great, just a short walk from the house or parking area. The restaurants and shops in the center of Bethany Beach were a short drive away. The three bedrooms and bathrooms on three levels provided privacy for families sharing the house. We really enjoyed using the kayaks and crab traps as well.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

About the owner: John and Pat have lived in Bay View Park for 25 years, and raised their two children, Emily and Derek. John grew up visiting Bethany Beach and is grateful that he and his wife were able to move to the beach full time in 1987. John is an architect and works from his home office. He and Pat enjoy surfing, fishing, kayaking and enjoying time with friends and family.
Why the Owner Chose South Bethany Beach:
John and Pat have recently moved, but want to keep the house they built 25 years ago. By renting to other beach loving families, we will be able to continue to care and maintain our family house.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The house on Todd Drive is open and airy and full of sunshine. We enjoy the views from all sides, looking out to the bay, especially in the late afternoon as the sun begins to set. The living area is completely open from kitchen, to dining room, to living room. There is a porch off the living room, looking onto the water and dock. The outdoor space includes a nice yard to play in, have cookouts, crab, kayak, and lay in the sun.
