Les Lantins is a beautifully restored Provençal farmhouse with a picture postcard view from every window, all year round.
From the front, it looks over the walled courtyard with a 300 year old yew tree and glorious linden trees, across its own cherry orchards and lavender field to the Medieval hilltop village of Saignon and the famous Luberon hills. From the kitchen terrace and garden, it gazes over hills and valleys to watch the last rays of the sun over Caseneuve and the distant Alpes de Haute Provence.

Accommodation:
Four bedrooms as follows: Master Bedroom with king size bed and ensuite bathroom: Bedroom Two with king size bed that can be split into two singles if preferred, own bathroom: Bedroom Three with king size bed that can be split into two singles if preferred, shares bathroom with Bedroom Four: Bedroom Four with double bed.
Downstairs: Guest accommodation for two in the rumpus room/office. Separate WC and handbasin. There's also a very comfortable sofa bed in the sittin room, and another bathroom in the pool house. Full central heating throughout the house and two wonderful open fireplaces. Total of four pretty bathrooms plus one additional WC. Huge fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven with 5 ring hob, large fridge) with magnificent French doors leading onto the sunny breakfast terrace with outdoor furniture and gas BBQ.
Separate utility room with washing machine, large freezer, microwave etc. Huge rumpus room with Bonzini pro table football, computer games, satellite TV, video, DVD and CD player.
Beautiful calm sitting room with magnificent open fireplace (and a large selection of good books for you to enjoy!). French doors leading into pool garden with fabulous stone terrace and summer dining room with a breathtaking view.
20 metre X 2.5 metre swimming pool open from the beginning of April to the end of October.
Fresh herbs in abundance, two cherry orchards, lavender fields, walled courtyard with huge trees for summer shade and more garden furniture. There are so many views that it is hard to decide which one to look at, so we've placed wrought iron tables and chairs from every viewpoint. You can choose according to mood and time of day!
The pool:
Twenty metres long and 2.5 metres wide, it's the lap pool with the big, big view! Nestling beside two huge cherry trees and flanked by a honesuckle hedge, it stretches out towards the Luberon hills. Swim at night, too, with the pool lights on. So romantic!

Your house was absolutely perfect for my daughter's wedding. I repeat, absolutely perfect! Other than a couple of up lights on the trees and some IKEA twinkle lights you had everything we needed. From every turn in the house and yard your little touches were fun to find. I only dream that someday we can return and rent your home without the stress of a wedding.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.

We could not have been happier with our choice to stay at Les Lantins. Our group consisted of 4 adults, 3 kids, and a teenage babysitter. The house was plenty big and everyone had their space. We actually always hung out in one of the many outdoor areas or in the huge kitchen. The views and the orchard was awesome. Didn't use the pool much. It was quite chilly. The cherries, however, were fabulous. We found the nearby village perfect in size and charm. Almost every day, we could take a day trip to another town (St. Remy, Gordes, Les Baux, Lourmarin, etc.) and the house seemed to be in a good spot so none of the places we wanted to go were too far. I'd highly recommend it!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our stay at Les Lantins lasted a full week in early November. The weather was beautiful, Provence was stunning and the experience was perfectly augmented by the beautiful Les Lantins. Firstly, the house is BIG. The art is fantastic, the kitchen is fabulous, the grounds are stunning. Though Saignon is tiny, it's incredbly charming.. Honestly, you won't spend too much time up there as there isn't much to do. We got our morning Cafe au Lait and pastries at Chez Christine in Saignon every day- the apricot croissant is to DIE for. From there, we generally went on excursions to Cassis, St. Remy de Provence, Cassis, Mt. Ventoux (A MUST DO!) and Les Baux de Provence. The location is a little remote, but if you like feeling like you've "gotten away from it all", then Les Lantins is perfect. Apt is just a quick drive away and Bonnieux (the BEST restaurant - L'arome, eat there) Gordes (stunning.. grab a Pastis and sit out on the patio at Cercle Republicain), Aix, are all within a short drive. Our rental car was equipped with a GPS navigation system - this is a MUST HAVE. It's so incredbily helpful navigating the sometimes windy roads of the Luberon. The grounds are practically covered in fresh rosemary and the fresh herbs from the garden are amazing. Overall, I can't speak highly enough of this property. The owner is an absolute sweetheart, the friendly cat that comes around every morning is so charming, and the kitchen.. the kitchen is reason enough for us to come back! We hope to return ASAP... The trip was truly amazing and the house was the best homebase for us while we were there. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories! Yes, we do wish that there was a bit more outside lighting at night (Maybe I just spook easily - I'm a city boy after all) and that there was a bigger television (hey, you're in Provence... Don't watch TV!) but these things didn't detract from our time at Les Lantins in the slightest. We can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.
