  My husband and I (and Abby) spent three nights last week at this house. First of all, I have to say that the last reviewer shouldn't even be allowed to go to Baja with that kind of attitude. Not a word about the ocean view or the uncrowded beach you have all to yourself there? I guess the owners could buy a 24-piece glassware set at Costco and bring it down next time, but I counted at least 40 dinner plates. Whatever, We loved our morning walks with the dog along the beach and got our exercise throwing her retriever toy into the water a million times. Since the whole area is to dog friendly, having your dog won't cramp your style. We took our dog and ate on the patio twice at Poco Cielo (next to La Fonda's), did the same at Playa Delfin in Puerto Nuevo (back row) and also tried Splash, a restaurant we'd heard a lot about. I had a bit of computer work to do and the wireless was a Godsend and working while looking out at the ocean made time fly. We've been going to Baja for almost 50 years and have rented many places. We know what to expect - it's Mexico and things aren't always perfect. At times we've ignored funky smells from septic tanks and put up with unfinished tile work, etc, because the whole point is being able to afford the ocean view. We had none of those problems here. The bathrooms are newly and nicely done and the house was very clean. We'd definitely go back and missed it so much, days after we came home, we made a trip to our crowded local dog beach. Nice, but not the same. One more thing. We hadn't been to Baja in four years because of all the negative news. We had zero problems. just stayed on the cuota all the way to the house and didn't even go into Rosarito.

  the location is great but the interior is too sparse. not enough couches for more than two people to comfortable lounge. not enough glasses and plates, and we were a small group of three. the tv was old. i have seen better sound systems in public schools in the ghetto. there was a creepy abandoned looking structure attached to the back of the house, not sure what that was all about.

  I stayed here with my daughter and a girlfriend with her two young boys and it was a wonderful experience. The property is very private and very safe. The views and private access to the beach is magical! We rode horses every day - call Juan - who would meet us at the back gate and take all of us riding on the beach. The house has all the basic amenities you need for an easy stay (we did most of the cooking ourselves). Drinks and a meal at the local La Fonda restaurant down the street is a must! We also did a day trip into the Valle de Guadeloupe for wine tasting and some beautiful scenery, well worth the drive. Also - the house is very dog friendly! Highly recommend a trip here and Zev will is incredibly responsive to questions or inquiries. We'll be back!

  Highly recommend this property as a choice spot for a relaxing vacation. The beach was very private, the home was very clean and easy to get to and close to town. The views are fantastic! We will return again, Thank you!!!

  We had a wonderful time! Being there in February meant some cold rainy spells but thankfully the rain came mostly at night and we had sunny afternoons on the quiet beach. The house & location are extremely relaxing and rejuvenating, the house itself is beautiful & very comfortable. And the beach... It was just perfect! We were thrilled to see dolphins & sea lions playing & eating in the surf on a few mornings - especially my 3 year old daughter and 9 year old neice!! I hope we can return again soon! Your caretakers, Ruth & Reynaldo were also great - so helpful. It was good to know that if we needed anything, they were just a few minutes away. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation! Like I said, we plan on coming back so you'll hear from me again! And, next time I'll follow your suggestion to fly into Tijuana (the insurance to drive a rental into Mexico from San D cost more than the rental!).

  My Husband and our 2 kids had an amazing 4 day long weekend at Zev's House in La Mision. the local care takers were so helpful and always available. the house is nice and fresh and was recently redone. the location could not be more perfect. it sits on a bluff overlooking the pacific ocean with only a staircase seperating you from the miles of empty sandy beaches right below. the whole beach community is very secure and has mostly Americans who own a weekend vacation home. We truly had a great time. we particularly enjoyed the fact that it is away from all the hustle and bustle yet only minutes away from whatever one might need. great Family getaway. we are thinking about coming back in the summer for a few weeks.

  My husband and I stayed at this beach house and had a wonderful time. It is a great location, on the beach which is very private... there is a very attentive housekeeping staff who really looked after our needs. We spent a lot of time at the nearby bar/restaurant La Fonda, which has great food and service. We also did a wine trip, shopping in nearby Ensenada, and lobster meal in Puerto Nuevo. The house put us in close proximity to all. We highly recommend this area and the house was very clean and homey. Best of all we were able to bring our dog with us... had a great vacation in Baja!

  We spent a week in this amazing retreat. it is like going back in time. the house sits on a bluff with the pacific ocean practically inside the house. lots of windows and views of the ocean from all parts of the house. it has a private locked stairway that leads to the beach. the beach is huge and beautiful with lots of hiking, horseback riding etc... the little village behind the house called La Mision is like going back in time. the food is amazing and lots of little home cooked meals - we had a great time. the caretakers of the home, Reynaldo and Ruth were always there for us and live only a few blocks away. the house was very clean and furnished nicely - it was just an overall great experience. We drove down from Los Angeles and door to door it took us 3 hrs. once passing the border, we got on the toll road and in 30 minutes, we were entering the security gates of the beach community this home resides in. owner was very professional and delivered what he promised. highly recommend these folks.

  I had a wonderful stay at La Mission. The description and the pictures of the Villa is what you'll get. A wonderful ocean front view with stairs to go down to the beach. You will see the amazing sun sets from almost all spots of the house. The master bedroom is cozy with an amazing view. If you love to cook you will love the spacious and beatiful kitchen. The house is in perfect condition since it was recently remodel. The house manager and housekeper were vey helpful and friendly. The owner of the property is also very nice and accomodating. I wanted to get away for a weekend of relaxation and I did. The villa is the perfect place and at a very affordable price. I would definitely go back in fact I am already planning my next stay! Enjoy your stay...
