A group of us met up here to run the Pacific Crest 1/2 Marathon. The Bear Hut was PERFECT! We loved the homey feel, the grill, and how close it was to all of the festivities. We want to make it an annual event! Thanks for such a great place to meet up for a weekend!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We weren't sure what we were going to get for this this cheap price but the "Bear Hut" turned out to be perfect for our family of 5. There was plenty of room for all of us. The location is awesome! It's close to everything but not crowded. We stayed in the Sunriver Resort two years ago and found that we prefer the privacy and quiet of the Bear Hut.Did you find this review helpful? We stayed at the Bear Hut with our 6-year-old twins. We'll definitely return on our next trip to Bend/Sunriver. We think it might be the best deal in town. We weren't sure what to expect at that price, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The Bear Hut is large and open, with plenty of room to relax. Our girls fell in love with all the bears and had no problem entertaining themselves for the 3 days with the bears, games, coloring supplies, and DVDs. They enjoyed having their own bedrooms for the first time in their lives. I found the place impeccably clean and neat. Spotless is not an understatement. Linens and beds all very comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook anything. Very quiet location among the pine trees. It's located just a very short drive or bike-ride from Sunriver village, where we enjoyed the festivities and the bike trails. Sandi the caretaker is as gracious and helpful as can be, and made sure we immediately felt welcome. Thank you!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We love the "Bear Hut". It is so cozy yet bright with a lot of windows. The beds and furniture are very comfortable. We loved the deck for barbecuing and watching the deer stroll by in the evenings. This cabin is very clean with a great location and a bargain at $90 a night.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We live in California and enjoy our property for several weeks in the summer and for a week or two in the winter. It is a quiet and restful location but close to everything.
Why the Owner Chose Other Sunriver Properties:
For many years we visited relatives who owned homes near Sunriver and fell in love with the area. We decided to invest in a home so we could continue to spend vacations in one of our favorite places.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
We love our home because it is very quiet and surrounded by Ponderosa pines and Aspen trees. It is just minutes from all the great activities in the area yet away from the crowds. The large driveway is perfect for parking boats, RVs, and other toys. We enjoy the porch for barbecuing, dining and just relaxing. Jump on the bikes and ride to the bike trails in the Sunriver Resort or ride down for a swim in the Deschutes River. River access is only a few minutes away.
