  We recently spent a long weekend on Tybee with family and could not have enjoyed this house more. It's well-appointed with everything you need. We did a lot of cooking with two chefs in the house and the kitchen had all the right equipment. We also enjoyed using the sea kayaks at the house. The location is amazing, with only a short walk to two beach entrances and access to the inland waterway too. Wow. We rented cruiser bikes and it's also a quick ride to all of the downtown shops, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Great communication and very easy transaction with the owner. Security deposit was refunded quickly. We hope to rent this house again soon. Thanks for a fantastic weekend!

  If you think this home looks great from the pictures, just wait until you see it in person. There are so many wonderful things about it, I don't know where to start. Our girl's group of six were so comfortable and content the entire time! This house is HUGE! The location - just a short walk to the beach and you are there. Best sunrises and sunsets you'll ever see. From the top of the house, you can see forever in all directions. The master bedroom is lovely and the shower is heavenly. 2nd floor has two nice bedrooms that share a bath. The kitchen has everything you'll need and the round dining room table and kitchen nook are perfect, not to mention tons of seating at the bar. There's a half-bath off the kitchen that's very handy (cutest sink ever, too!) The living room has the most comfortable leather sofas and chair that I've ever sat in. The huge flat-screen TV is great. There is a deck overlooking the relaxing dipping pool which is where we sat and ate breakfast every morning as we planned our day in Savannah (short and scenic drive.) The bottom floor has two nice bedrooms and several showers. If you have children or teenagers in your group, this is the place for them as it is set up perfectly for kids. Nice washer and dryer included in one large bathroom. There are boogie boards, chairs, and umbrellas in the garage and a good outdoor shower area to rinse off. The entire house is immaculately clean and the decor is outstanding. The outside landscaping is beautiful. Shelly, the owner, was a delight to work. All the other reviews here reflect how amazing this home truly is. My friends and I will have fond memories from our stay at Casa Oceano Rio that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

  Casa Oceano Rio was the perfect beach house rental for my group of 14. The house itself was great for a gathering as it's very open and spacious, and had a nice modern kitchen and living room (BIG SCREEN for college football!).The pool/hot tub area is huge with a ton of chairs. The rooftop deck was a great place to watch the sunset. 4 Kayaks were included, which is awesome since there's lots of exploring to do in the river basin... Also, the location was perfect - it's nice to be a short walking distance to bars, restaurants, and the beach. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an upscale beach house with all the amenities.

  Everything was perfect. Wonderful, well kept property. Close to the back river and ocean on quiet end of beach. I highly recomend this ' home away from home' for all ages. Our group spanned the years from a one year old to her 80 year old great grandfather.

  We had a wonderful girls' week at Casa Oceano Rio to celebrate our 40th birthdays. The house was beautifully decorated, spacious, and comfortable. The pictures can't do it justice! It is a very short walk to the beach access (both ocean and river), and it was a quiet, peaceful week on the beach. We loved taking the kayaks out to the island, relaxing in the pool, and enjoying the view from the rooftop. Shelly and Lamar provide beach chairs and umbrellas and everything we needed on the beach. We ate at the house several meals, cooking in the kitchen, and when we went out, we especially enjoyed AJ's Dockside for dinner and drinks. We hit Huca Poos on our last day and it was delicious and cheap. It was an easy drive to Savannah (loved Mrs. Wilkes' Dining Room and Leopold's). Thanks so much for such a wonderful, comfortable week! We would all love to return with our families!

  We loved Casa Oceano Rio! We had 2 families and grandparents staying here,16 total, and it worked out beautifully! There were 9 kids in our group and the basement rooms were ideal!! The hot tub was perfect for little ones as well. There were many thoughtful upgrades in the home. We were so comfortable and would definitely stay there again. The location was perfect on the island, a short walk to any of the beaches. We used the kayaks as well and enjoyed those. Overall a great vacation experience!

  Great vacation home. Location is outstanding and house is equipped with evrything you can possibly need. Perfect pace for multiple families with kids. Lots of room. Downstairs is a barracks for kids witj multiple shower stalls and wide open space. Highly reccomend

  The house was lovely and full of amenities...from beach chairs & toys, to kayaks, to playing cards and board games, and lots of room to stretch out. Spices in the kitchen to boot, and a great grill. Tybee Island is lovely--especially where this house is located. Plus it was super close to the beach. It's off the beaten path towards the southern tip of the island, so it's a bit more 'isolated' so to speak. The beach is magnificent and we spent hours each day simply exploring. You can walk to many restaurants and ice cream shops, the liquor store and the surf shop, and bike rentals are close too!! The only bummer was that the hot tub is turned off this time of year, so it was actually a bit too cool to use, which was disappointing. But the beach certainly made up for it...as did the time we spend exploring the island! A definite must...

  We had a large group of old friends gather for a Tybee Wedding, Casa Oceano Rio was perfect for us! The accomodations were great, and all we had to do was grocery shop, everything else was available. It had perfect beach access within walking distance, and it was nice to not have to fight traffic for a close parking spot! Thanks again, we look forward to visiting Tybee again in the future :)
