    We had a wonderful weekend stay at Island Breeze. The layout on 4 floors worked beautifully for our family, with plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The house exceeded our expectations and had everything we needed for a stay for 5 adults and 3 children. Despite Hurricane Sandy blowing for the entire weekend, we were snug and dry in the condo. We would DEFINITELY stay there again and owner Shelley was very accommodating of our needs.

    This was my first visit to Atlantic Beach. My family and I enjoyed our stay at Island Breeze. The description was accurate, as were the listing photos and info. The house was decorated and furnished nicely. The owner was helpful and responded to my phone calls in a timely manner. We enjoyed the beach, as well as the nearby restaurants and the acquarium.

    This property was very nice and clean........The views of the beach were awesome and it was close to the beach. The kitchen and family room were very nice. We had a great time staying there and were very comfortable. We would stay there again. It was perfect.

    Island Breeze made a very luxurious stay. The first thing I liked about the Island Breeze Condo was its location. Its location affords easy access to restaurants, souvenir and gift shops, fishing opportunities, and water parks. The second thing I liked about the Island Breeze was its proximity to the Beach. The beach access was only a hop, skip, and a jump from the Condo. The Condo's top floor overlooked the beautiful beach of breaking waves. The third thing I liked about the Island Breeze was its easy accessibility. Parking space at the front door made unloading and loading luggage easy. There was plenty of room and was a great place to spend time with the family. The Condo was clean, spacious, and well maintained with Direct TV in each room. The Island Breeze Condo made an excellent place for my family and friends getaway. The final thing I liked about the Island Breeze was that the renter was friendly and easy to talk to. Thanks to the Island Breeze for making my stay wonderful and I plan to visit again soon.

    My family a total of 9 of us stayed the weekend at the Island Breeze upon arrival it was very clean and well maintained. All the rooms were very spacious we all had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves the beds were very comfortable. The veiw of the beach during sunrise and sunset is a must see. The beach was in walking distance from the location pathway was very accessible. The decks were very large perfect for grilling out. The owners description were accurate regarding the location. The owners was very prompt in addressing any concerns or questions we had, We would recommend this property to our relatives and friends.The nearby resturants are great for dining. Overall our weekend was very relaxing and enjoyable. We must come again!

    We stayed at Island Breeze over Easter weekend. It was a great rental for four adults and two toddler boys - everyone had their own room and we had enough space to play. It is a vertical floorplan with no elevator, so we got plenty of exercise chasing two two-year old up and down the stairs. Easy and short walk to the beach without having to cross any major roads. Good restaurants near by and Food Lion right down the street. We also enjoyed the aquarium which was less than 15 minutes away!

    Our family stayed for a week late last season - the Atlantic Beach area has been our favorite for years. This house is very recent construction in an excellent location. Furnishings, appointments, views, are exactly as shown on the website. The property was very clean and comfortable, and was generally in quite good condition. Parking was ample for our 3 vehicles. We all were very pleased with the property and do recommend it. We will look forward to staying there in the future.

    Had a group of 9 retired nurses from Chicago, Il. for a reunion. Due to Hurricane Irene, reservations at the Sheraton Hotel were cancelled. It was a gift to have found Island Breeze with such an accomodating, nice owner and the place was true to the description and pictures posted. It was very clean, comfortable, good location and better financially suited than the hotel. It was enjoyed immensley by all, especially on the deck with views of the ocean and a renewal of bonds of friendship. Great time by all!!

    We had a 3 generation family stay at Island Breeze. The pictures aptly described the townhouse which was clean and comfortable. The location was wonderful. It was great being so close to the beach; an easy and safe walk. We could also walk to the Four Corners Diner and The Shark Shack for milk shakes! Even walked to the fresh fish market on the causeway-good fish and knowledgeable people. The owner of Island Breeze was very good with communication and was flexible. The local property manager was very nice and quick with a response with a need that came up during the week. The only recommendations would be to have a table on the deck on the main level to eat outside and to have 8 chairs around the table inside instead of 4 chairs and 4 bar stools. We managed to eat outside and inside around the table, but it was tricky with smaller children. We enjoyed our stay!!

    We had a group of 9 people and we had an absolutely wonderful stay at the "Island Breeze" this summer. The place was perfect for our group and have everything we could ask for. We looked and looked through alot of places because we wanted a place that would fit our budget and this location offered one of the best financial decisions for our group. However, we all felt that the place was very nice, clean, and very comfortable for everyone for the price we paid. The owner's descriptions and photos of the place were all very accurate of the place when we arrived. My family and I have been to places where we get to the place and wonder how in the world the owners put up pictures that they did because reality was nothing like it. At the "Island Breeze" what you see is what you get and it is very nice. The location is great as well here at Atlantic Beach. There are many things to do all around that are within ideal driving distances. There is a food lion just down the street, restaurants were nearby, our group likes to putt putt and that was on the island, there was a fantastic ice cream shop called AB Ice Cream and Candy Shop in the strip mall by the Food Lion you should definitely check out if you stay here too. What I most liked is that all these things were here to do although you don't have the hustle and bussle that more commercialized places have like myrtle beach or hilton head. When you go to other places like that and try to accomodate 9 people to go out to eat or something you have to wait like an hour but we were able to get in very quickly everywhere we went. As for more about the house itself, we loved the main floor and how the kitchen accomodated us all so we could have meals together and just hangout. Also, all the rooms were very comfortable and easy to feel at home in for your trip. I would certainly recommend this location to everyone and you surely will not be dissapointed. The owners are very nice people to work with as well and you can tell that they definitely do everything they can to make your stay a great one at their beach house.

    We stayed at Island Breeze the week prior to my niece's wedding. It accommodated our 10 family members comfortably, although sleeping accommodations for 9th & 10th persons are sofas. The house was very clean, nicely furnished and cozy. We loved hanging out on the decks especially when the ocean breeze kicked in - Lovely! The views were spectacular. The pictures show this property accurately. There are ceiling fans throughout. Located just a few minutes walk from the beach (miles of awesomeness), it is also close to shops and restaurants and short driving distance to historic areas such as Fort Macon and Beaufort. The house has several flights of stairs but having 4 floors made the bedrooms seem very private and quiet. The owner was very nice/responsive/attentive. Our family had a wonderful NC vacation experience at Island Breeze!

    We stayed for a week from June 18th -25th. The place was beautiful and very clean. There was a deck on each level and the view of the ocean from the deck was beautiful. The website was accurate in describing the property. I would recommend this place to my friends! Caution though there are 4 flights on stairs! The owner called a day or so after we arrived to make sure everything was ok. We took the ferry to Shackelford island to see the wild horses. It was a nice non-crowded quiet beach, plenty of room.The beach was very close to the house, less than 2 blocks. There was not a typical boardwalk but many water activity places to rent jet skis, boats and parasail etc.

    Our group visited Atlantic Beach for the first time and stayed at this property. We are a group of Asian Americans and could not have found a more lovely and inviting place to spend a relaxing retreat! Booking the property was a breeze, finding the home was simple and the amenities were such a plus. Especially the outside shower with HOT WATER! All of my students raved about how beautiful and HUGE the house was and hoped that they would be able to stay there again in the future. A quick walk to the beach made crab hunting a blast at night and the large community room turned a rainy day into a brilliant video gaming competition on the big screen! Thank you so much for allowing us to make beautiful memories at your home. It will never be forgotten!

    This house felt like a nearly new house with new furnishings througout and everything was in like new condition. Plenty of decks to enjoy the weather and views and in a pretty quite street. Some great local dining spots to walk to, not to mention the beach which is a minute walk away. I definitely recommend this place if you need plenty of bedrooms and want a newer house at the beach. Also, the owner was very accommodating and maintained communication throughout.

    My family of four stayed in this unit over the Thanksgiving holidays. The unit was very clean and comfortable. An added bonus was the beds were all made upon our arrival with sheets purchased by the owner (usually the sheets are rented and they are worn and not comfortable). The beach access was a two minute walk from the unit. We have been coming to this area for at least 19 years and this is the first unit that had a good view of the ocean and sound. The top deck had a wonderful view and was great for relaxing during the day. The kitchen and main living area were nice and the pictures accurately describe the unit. We had a great time and will return in the future. The unit is close to many good restaurants and fun shops. Lots to do all year long!!!

    I was blown away when I first walked into the Island Breeze with the scope, size and lay-out of this beach house, which seemed more like a "mansion" to me than a "house." Each and every room is beautifully appointed, including the 5 bathrooms. The kitchen was a chef's dream come true with the ample granite counter space, which has an open pass-through into the living room to converse with those sitting on the other side or to simply enjoy the view of the ocean while preparing meals. An enormous island is centered in the kitchen with stools to pull up for casual, quick meals or to use as a buffet serving area. The huge, side-by-side refrigerator with the ice, water, etc. dispenser, the electric stove with full-size oven, a microwave above the stove, a dishwasher and every smaller appliance imaginable made me wish this were my very own kitchen. There are cupboards galore complete with enough cups, dishes, glassware (even wine glasses) and silverware to accommodate 8-10. Plus, oodles of cookware and utensils are handily available for the cook's grasp contained under the island. A huge pantry enclosed in the side wall of the kitchen has several shelves for stashing non-perishable grocery stuffs, too. A tall wastebasket and vacuum are inside there as well for quick clean-ups. The stack washer and dryer on the first floor came in handy several times, too. And, the massive table with an extension leaf, capable of seating 10-12 comfortably, is also in the kitchen area. The living room has two sofas, comfy as can be with an armoire housing a TV when not listening to the music from the ocean, only a hop, skip and a jump away. With the glass walls of windows in the dining room and living room, leaving the sliders open brought perfect circulation of air throughout the entire floor. The top floor is taken up completely by a master suite, which has its own sitting area complete with a sofa and an incredible bathroom, plus, private decks front and back. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, as did my guests, not only because of the size and the decor, but because it is such a welcoming place to simply relax and to forget the cares of the day. I couldn't have been happier if I'd constructed it myself! And, I have already told my friends about Island Breeze. With decks on all four levels, the views from those on the third and fourth floors are especially breathtaking - front and back - giving one the sense they are staying in a 5-star hotel.

    We rented Island Breeze for the weekend of 0ct 2 -3, 2010. It was amazing. The condo was beautifully furnished and very clean. Large decks in the back with views of the ocean. Comfortable beds. The owners were very helpful and very responsive of any and all questions. 1 week after our stay we received our security deposit back. I would definitely recommend this condo. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks so much for a great weekend.

    This beach house was the perfect vacation home for our first trip to the beaches North Carolina. My friends were fortunate enough to stay there for a week while we were down for a friend's wedding. It was very comfortable as the pictures clearly show, had great deck areas for hanging out, and we all loved the short walks to the beach- and the Beach Tavern later on in the evening :) The owner was very responsive and courteous, which certainly added to the experience because you could immediately tell she would do whatever she could to make your stay hassle free. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone looking to get the most out of a stay to Atlantic Beach!

    This was our first visit to Atlantic Beach. Overall, we had a wonderful time. The 'Island Breeze' is a great place to stay. We liked that it was an end unit and had nice ocean views from the 3rd and 4th floors. The photos accurately reflected this lovely home. It was clean, spacious and comfortably accommodated our family. It is conveniently located close to the grocery store (3/10 mile), shops and eateries (walking distance) and of course the beach which was only a very short walk from the house. We met the owner, Shelley, who was very pleasant and friendly. She also called midweek to check if we needed anything. Thanks Shelley, for supplying us with the grill utensils and coasters! We look forward to returning to Atlantic Beach in the future and will rent this home again. We enjoyed our vacation. We highly recommend staying at the Island Breeze. Places to see: Pine Knolls Aquarium, Beaufort, Fort Macon including State Park/beach (has snack bar, covered shelters, and showers) Places to eat: Island Grille (reservations recommended) , Crab Shack in Emerald Isle (food was fresh and nice size portions)

    This townhome was awesome. It is very spacious and gave our family ample room to spread out. The beach is just a short walk away. We were looking for a relaxing beach vaction, so we didn't venture away from the house and beach much except for souvenier shopping just a block away. I found having a washer and dryer available to be a wonderful convenience. I would highly recommend this house for families with children or even two small families vacationing together.     Our stay at Shelly's home was fabulous! This home had everything we needed and more importantly you could see the ocean and not a long walk at all! The home is on a nice quiet street and from the top decks you can see the ocean, Morehead City and down the Atlantic beach coast. It has such amazing views! Very nice to sit on the deck at night or tan during the day. Home is gorgeous and each room is very comfortable. TV's in all bedrooms which is nice and everything is just so clean! Very comfortable furniture in living area and kitchen has all you need. Our family is very familiar with the NC Coast and we have rented and even owned at several of the beaches. We have to honestly say this house rates number 1 and the beach area that is close to the home has plenty of beach and water is very nice. Lots of shopping, great restaurants and even a great surf shop down the road where your child can take surf lessons for the first time! Have fun!

    We just returned from a wonderful week in Atlantic Beach where we stayed at The Island Breeze. The home is exactly as stated, if not better. It was perfectly maintained and family friendly. The location is close to great restaurants, fishing, Fort Macon, Cape Lookout, and of course, the beach. We found owners to be very accommodating, fair and helpful. We would definitely rent this place on our next trip to Atlantic Beach.

    We loved our stay at "Island Breeze". We took our children and grandchidren and we all had plenty of room,with 4 bedrooms and a bathroom in each,made it wonderful. It was very clean and decorated beautifully. When we needed down time we all had or own room and a deck. The veiw from the living room and 2 decks were great! This house is centrally located and had shopping,grocery store, and and points of interest near by. The walk to beach was not bad at all and coming back to an outside shower made it really nice with chidren. We all had plenty of towels and linens and a washer and dryer. Shelly, the owner, was very helpful and nice and called after we arrived to make sure everything was OK and also called when when we returned home to see if we had any complaints. We will rent this home again and we recommend it it highly. We had a good experince.

    Very disappointed in our overall experience - we would not stay here again.

    Owner response: Scott, Tiffany and their family were very happy with their experience per their comment to us, “Up to a week ago we were saying very positive things about our trip and our stay at your beach house” (07/16/10). This comment came prior to their receiving a bill for the damages done to our property and its contents due to their negligence. We could have forfeited this family's entire deposit for non-compliance with the Agreement, however, the charges deducted were determined ONLY on the things that were damaged and a balance returned to them. They became irate and unhappy and decided to write a negative review, amongst other things. Our desire is to give each family a high quality vacation experience at the beach. We have in no way misrepresented ourselves per our listing and/or our Rental Agreement and all other families so far, with the exception of this particular family, have maintained our home in a superior fashion. We wish Scott and Tiffany, their friends and family the best in finding another property for their next vacation.

    My husband and I enjoyed 3 days and 2 nights at Island Breeze. It was so close to the beach and to many restaurants and attractions. This place truly met all our expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortably furnished. There was plenty of room to spread out and it was really lovely to have so many decks to choose from depending on whether you wanted to be in the shade or in the sun. The view of the ocean was lovely. This would be a great place for two families to enjoy. We hope to go back and have our adult children join us. Having an outdoor shower was great and kept down the amount of sand we had to deal with inside. We couldn't have had a better experience!

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    We had a wonderful stay and would gladly come back. We loved the convenience of being just steps from the beach (no car needed, easy for evening beach strolls) and it was magical to sit on the upper balcony and eat burgers watching sunset over the ocean. This four-story townhouse is a good value for the money compared to other rentals, we thought - it was well-furnished, even nicer than pictured in that it's spacious and offers a sense of privacy on each floor, plus a good workout going up and down the stairs! The top two levels have balconies with a view of the ocean (only partially obstructed by some closer buildings) and the master suite on the top floor is really super. It's great to have the private outdoor shower and a grill would be a great addition. We found Atlantic Beach not as crowded or commercial as Delaware beaches, and there were good water activities available like Eco tour sailing and parasailing. The Crab Claw restaurant is very close a good first-night place to have cocktails and seafood at sunset.

    Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
