  My husband and I stayed for our anniversary. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The view was spectacular and the experience very relaxing. I absolutely loved the horse back riding, it is a must do on the list. Howard was wonderful and very helpful, he even lent us his tackle box when my husband lost his last lure in the pond. Our visit was very refreshing and I hope to be able to visit next year.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cedar Creek. Everything we wanted was on-site: lodging, horse-back riding, fishing, & gem mining. The activities (especially for our 8 y/o daughter) and pet-friendly lodging were key factors in selecting Cedar Creek. The apartment was very clean and private! It was perfect! We loved the scenic surroundings of the mountains, lake, and pasture. We enjoyed sitting on the porch swing, walking, and taking in the beauty. We were impressed with the care given to the horses by Howard & the staff. Howard, Crystal, & Phoebe welcomed and made us feel right at home. Thank you Howard, Crystal, Phoebe, and staff! Highly recommend! We can't wait to return!

  My kids and I had a wonderful retreat at this vacation spot. The apartment was clean and comfortable with wonderful views. The owner was quite gracious and quick to help with activities and supplies. Horseback riding in the mountains is a must do, as is gem mining on site. The location is readily accessible to Lake Lure and the surrounding resorts and amenities. We hope to return!

  My son and husband surprised me by taking me here for my birthday. The view was absolutely breathtaking! I was pleasantly surprised to say the least! The property overlooks the most beautiful pond which you are allowed to relax and fish in if you'd like. The view from the porch overlooks the pond, the mountains, horses grazing, etc. and you can smell the fresh mountain air and enjoy God's handiwork. The apartment was well maintained, comfy and cozy, with sheets, towels, etc. provided. With Cedar Creek Stables being on the property, I wish we'd had more time so as to horseback ride. I can only imagine how beautiful the trails are since what we could see was so gorgeous! I can't wait to go back and 'hit the trails!' The owner was very helpful and quick to offer directions, answer questions,etc. and even offered us a fishing pole to fish there with. The rental is near Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Bat Cave, Hendersonville, the waterfalls, Ashville, many places to go tubing, rafting, canoeing, etc. It's a perfect little getaway! My family would recommend this place to everyone who enjoys nature and the outdoors yet wants to venture out and see the sights, too. We look forward to our next visit!

  My husband, daughter and I spent the night here and went horseback riding. It was a wonderful experience. The apartment is well furnished with everything you need. It was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The porch overlooks the pond and the stables so you can relax on the porch swing while watching the horses graze. The pond is stocked and we could see some very large fish. We watched a few patrolling the edges that must have been 3 feet long. Tess guided our trail ride and we had a wonderful experience. She was friendly and knowlegeable. We rode through the creek and up onto the hillside. The trails were well-kept and wide enough to be comfortable riding. Just before the end of our ride, we were riding through the creek again and came into a small alcove in the trees. There were monarch butterflies everywhere. They were fluttering around us and we just paused and took in the moment. It was like something out of a movie. WOW! The owners of the property were extremely nice. They were conscious of our privacy but available and friendly. They even provided a jar for our daughter to catch fireflies. I would and will highly recommend this place. We would have loved to spend longer and plan to make this a frequent stop. Thanks to Howard, Crystal, Tess and the others who made our stay such a memorable and relaxing experience.

  What a breath of fresh air! This property was relaxing and beautiful. My daughter and I spent four days here and had a lovely time. The riding stables were a highlight to our little getaway! The staff were great with us and it was just what we needed for a mini-vacation. We will be back!
