This is a nice level one story home on a quiet street located 1.1 miles from the nearest ocean beach in Huntington Beach, California. This is a great home to vacation in or work out of. It's a lovely newer home with vaulted ceilings in both Living Room and large Master Bedroom. Nicely furnished with better quality furnishings recently remodeled. You will feel very much at home here. Nothing is spared to make your stay enjoyable.
The home is within walking distance of Huntington Beach pier and Main Street, 1.4 miles.. We have baby high chair, crib and changing tray, trike, bike with child seat, 20' child bike, 4 adult bikes. Your small dogs are welcome and there are dog doors in the living room and bedroom for them. We have a Pride Legend Mobility Cart for impaired guest. Everything is nice, clean and bright. This home is a warm, furnished environment, and not the usual cold, stripped down motel-like accommodations many renters are used to finding. Our tenants are sorry to leave, and had a great time

The owners, Ken and Liz made us feel like family within minutes of arrival. We arrived on an evening flight and they came to the house to welcome us and shared information about the property and the local area. This is the type of you wished you owned and could visit on weekends. Ken and Liz are the type of hosts that go out of the way to make sure you have a wonderful visit to SOCAL. The property feels like home and has much to offer. It is a great location tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, but convenient to all the amenities in the area. The shower alone is worth the reservation, yet there is so much more … great media center with large HDTV, Bose sound system, Direct TV with premium movie package, blue ray DVD and x-Box; to our surprise, NFL Sunday Ticket was even active – so NFL fans who think that can’t travel during the season – this is your home away from home! Outside is a nice deck with hot tub, Weber grill, upgraded lighting and power awnings. Inside you find all a kitchen that is perfect for the family and well stocked with staple products for cooking and cleaning. The home includes a washer and dryer as well. This home is clean with upscale furnishings and attention to detail; in the garage you find toys galore – bikes, skateboard, surf boards, wet suit, and beach toys. Next trip we will not have to look any further – this has become our home away from home in SOCAL. A sincere THANK YOU to Ken and Liz for a wonderful week and for being such warm and caring hosts!!! My family and I enjoyed everything the house had to offer and there is alot, between the bikes and going to the beach or some down time and sitting in the hot tub or relaxing watching a beautiful tv with a awesome media center movies, games, great chairs. And the master bathroom is amazing. The shower is worth it alone. Really we enjoyed everything about the house and everything it offers. Nothing but the best too. This home is the peferct place to stay if your planning a vacation to Huntington Beach, CA. Ken and Liz are great to work with, they have everything you could ask for and more, plus it's in a quiet, family oriented neighborhood. It's nice place to escape the hustle and bustle of the PCH and beach. The beds are very comfortable. My kids shared the guest bedroom on the trundle bed and slept till practically noon everyday. The master bathroom is fantastic with the rain shower head and granite counter tops. The big screen t.v and theatre seating was great to watch the tour de france everyday. We loved relaxing in the evening in the secluded backyard with hot tub.This rental offers everything any family could possibly need and it's all in fantastic shape. The kitchen was even stocked with coffee, cooking oils, spices, condiments and even a couple of beers to help aid in the unpacking. The beach cruiser bikes were our favorite to ride into the downtown for shopping and dining.Oh, most important, they also allow pets. The kids used the boogie and surf boards. This is a beautiful home. It was my first experience and I definitely would consider it again. I forgot to bring the address of the house or the telephone number of Ken And Liz, so we wandered around for quite a while looking for our place to stay. Finally, I called my home answering machine and Ken had called and left his number to call them, I think they figured we were lost. They came and rescued us. They were both so welcoming and showed us around their beautiful accomandations. It was a wonderful place to stay. Everything was clean and bright and so comfortable. Everything under the sun was provided for us, even food they they and other travelers had left for the next guests. It was easy to get around and find things in the area.Thank you again Ken and Liz, you are amazing.I am highly recomending this rental to everyone I knowRecommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This property felt like home in less than a day after our arrival. The owners were fabulous hosts in sharing all the information about the property and the surrounding area. It is a really great place to come to and enjoy all the toys and amenities that they have waiting for you! This home was comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood with friendly people. We brought our dogs with us and it was very obvious that they enjoyed the property also. If you have a dog you must visit "Dog Beach" in Huntington. It is an experience you and your dog will never forget. The house was very cozy and the feeling like you lived there came very quickly. The Flat screen and the sound system were totally enjoyable!!! We would recommend this property to those who have a family or dog.....it's just like being in your own home!!! The owners were there to greet us when we arrived and gave us their cell #'s in case we had any questions or problems. We have already booked this property again this year and have lengthened our stay!!! Thank you for being such great and caring property owners!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Absolutely loved our stay! We were able to take our small dogs with us, and felt like we were at home . . . all amenities are included, you just need your clothes and the food you like! We loved riding the provided bikes down to the beach. Ken and Liz are very professional and kind. Highly recommend. We will be back for future stays!Owner response: We have been blessed to continually have the nicest people, from all over the world, come to stay in our home. Probably the most valuable and memorable time a person has in their lifetime is that time spent with their children and family, and their vacation time. Getting time off from work and a busy schedule for a vacation doesn't come often for most people. Most folks don't take a vacation to save money. They could have stayed home and done that. Vacation rentals are becoming popular because vacations can be very expensive. The operative word is budget! In this tough economy we try to keep our rental costs reasonable and we provide many of the supplies our guests will need to reduce their out-of-pocket expenses so their vacation dollars go further. We purchase bulk laundry soap and conditioner, paper supplies, Starbucks and Costco coffee, cooking oils, etc. for their use. We actively try to insure that a stay in our home will make our guest's vacation great and we thank them for placing their trust and faith in us. This house has all the amenities you need to make sure you have a stress free vacation, from cleaning supplies to surf boards. The location couldn't be any better, right in the heart of the OC with quick easy access to the beach, main street Huntington with incredible nightlife & shopping, Anaheim (Disney & Knott's Berry Farm) and the PCH is only 1 mile away so cruise down to Newport, Balboa and Laguna, definitely must hit spots. We were a family of 4 and were extremely comfortable and didn't have any issues. The description is accurate and the owners were there to meet us and show us everything including the home theatre system, patio awnings for those super hot California day's, and the new shower with water that comes from all directions. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a home away from home. Put it this way; I asked them if they ever sell the house to contact me...Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

We spent a week here and loved it. We felt for the week it was our home. Ken & Liz are so so kind and have thought of everything to make any visit wonderful. They provide everything you need for your stay in Huntington Beach, not just need but want. Loved that they provide a gps for people like me who are directionally challenged. They even have it preprogramed. So yeah an amazing time and we are already planning our next visit. We stayed at this house earlier this year and should have written a review before now! We had a great time and it was a pleasure meeting Ken and Liz. They really do go above and beyond of any rental previous. The home is so well stocked the kids did not know what to choose first. Pack light because if you need it they have it! The hardest part was leaving. Thank you Ken and Liz and sorry we did not get to this before now. We are truly grateful for meeting such kind people. My husband & I rented this house for us and our 4 teenage boys & 11 yr old daughter. We couldn't have asked for a better place. It was stocked with everything from surf boards to soap. It was very convenient for us to pack "light" considering all the kids we had. We felt right at home. There was such a large quantity of bikes, boogie boards, etc. that there was plenty for everyone. It was nice after a long day at the beach or sight-seeing to come home to a jacuzzi to soak in. The location is about a mile from the beach (2 miles from downtown HB)& is easy access to tons of restaurants & shopping. Ken & Liz were wonderful & met us as soon as we arrived to go over everything & show us around. I would highly recommend this property for your stay!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, families with teenagers.

About the owner: We are Ken and Liz. This was our first home. Liz grew up in Huntington Beach, which is such a great vacation spot, this is Surf City! Liz and I have run a Law Firm for close to 30 years. As we neared retirement, Liz wanted to run a bed and breakfast. I wanted to run a small RV Park. Turning our second home into a vacation Rental was the perfect solution! We invested heavily into remodeling, upgrades, and amenities, and especialy playthings and creature comforts, in an effort to make this the best beach house for our guests.
Why the Owner Chose Huntington Beach:
We like this location because we had great neighbors. In fact the neighbors are so nice that they welcome and often make friends with our guests. There are small kids next door to play with. The neighborhood is quiet. Many of our guests have said that they had spent a lot more money to be closer to the beach in the past. The nearest beach is 1.1 miles away. The Pier is 1.4 miles.The foot traffic, loud people and party noise made them look for a quiet neighborhood away from the beachfront area, but yet a short walking or bicycling distance from it. Also, the home is realistically within 30 to 40 minutes from Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. The home is in a newer area with homes ranging in value between $650K and $1M. There is little traffic on the street. The back yard is fenced and gated.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Couples and families simply love and are amazed by this home. They are struck by the uplifting architecture, and the warmth and coziness within. We decided to anticipate our guests needs and have assembled a wide array of necessities and play things. We hate cheap furniture. Several of our guests can now bring elders and impaired family members and loved ones to our home. We turned the bathroom into a spa. The shower is about 6' by 7' and has 3 shower heads, built in bench and a shower chair. We have an electric mobility cart with headlights,turn signals and basket to help the impaired get out and about or even to the store. So that they aren't left behind on outings, we have Dodge Rampvan (door opens, ramp comes out, vehical squats low) and wheelchair. We do not charge for this but ask that the gas tank be refilled. We recently added a Yakima 2 kid bike trailer that converts to a jogger for biking small fry to the beach or jogging them through the neighborhood. Our guests love the back deck and Jacuzzi (genuine Jacuzzi) and the electric awnings for shading the deck area. We have 3 surboards including a large soft top for beginners. We have an exercise bike, roller blades, 5 bikes including one with an infant seat. We have skate board, boogie boards, kids trike, beach chairs, ice chest, jug, umbrellas, and what not for the beach including a kids sand shovel and buckets and cookie cutters. We supply almost everything from toilet paper and paper towels and napkins to soaps, wash detergents, bleach and downey. The kitchen is stocked with spices, oils, condiments, and napkins, etc. The bathrooms have new soaps and travel toiletries which may have been forgotten. We hate to see a family or anyone on a budget fly in, and then end up spending $300 or more at the grocery store just to stock the first day on things other than food.
