FEATURED ON HGTV's LIVING CHANNEL AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 HOMES - Have you ever wondered what it would feel like living aboard a floating home? Imagine waking to the gentle cradle of a river's current and feeling blessed enough to be able to experience the tranquility of life on the river. Serenity awaits you at our home.

Whether you are a business traveler seeking rejuvenating solitude, a romantic couple looking to rediscover one another, an artist waiting to be inspired again, an adventurer looking to explore God’s country, or a family in need of precious time together, just to share with one another, this is a home-away-from home guaranteed to sooth your soul.

Can you imagine, vision yourself basking in the stillness of the morning sun, stretched out on a cushy lounge chair, drinking a steaming cup of freshly brewed, Northwest coffee from our panoramic floating deck? Breath in the beauty of nature as the sun rises before you reflecting off the tranquil water. Witness the morning routine of our resident otters and beaver as you soak in our second story "Lookout Tower" spa.

In the evening feel free to defy the darkness by lighting a bon-fire in the custom fire pit, while your line drifts with the river’s current anticipating a tug on your line from a nocturnal channel catfish swimming deep below. Gazing at your pole, your mind congers up visions of pan-fried channel catfish over roasted potatoes, mmm, dinner awaits you.

You will experience nature as never before, without ever leaving our home. The Pacific Northwest is known as Salmon Nation, from the house you can witness these majestic fish throughout the seasons as they breakwater searching to find their way upstream to spawn, fulfilling their life’s destiny. You will hear the Osprey cry out as they call to one another, circling high above, surveying the river for their prey. The Great Blue Herron, Bald Eagle, a variety of Geese, and exotic Ducks are no strangers to our back yard. Come experience river life for yourself.

This is much more than a vacation, it is an opportunity allowing you to take in the beauty of nature. If you had previously considered taking your family on vacation elsewhere, reconsider. You can forget about the theme parks in the big cities with their unavoidable crowds; this is one vacation that you will never forget. Bring your family to the end of The Oregon trail where the real adventure begins.

Oregon, The Original Adventure Land.

P.S. The house is nice too.

The VRBO Bear Visits the Portland, Oregon Area & Stays in a FLOATING HOUSE!

VRBO Bear stayed here - 04/26/2005 What a blessing it was to stay this BEAUTIFUL FLOATING HOME. We enjoyed the lovely scenery looking through picture windows throughout the home. We spent peaceful time on the spacious deck out back on the Willamette River. We watched water-skiers ski up and down the river... WOW!

This floating home was featured on HGTV's Living Channel 80 Homes. The home has all of the amenities we could ever want... Three bedrooms including a spectacular master suite. Located in Oregon City, this home is close to everything. We visited downtown Portland, the vineyards in the surrounding area, and the beautiful falls on the way to the Oregon coast.

What a relaxing and enjoyable vacation... We would love to go back again soon!

Signed, VRBO Bear

the floating house has all the comforts of home in a beautiful river setting. it's the perfect place to relax, fish from the dock, or paddle the river in the canoe that's provided. the house was clean, well equipped, and everything we hoped for. downtown portland is about 30 min away.

WHAT A PLACE !!

Enjoyed this unique property for a couples get together. A meritage of delux hotel and camping on the river. Agree with other reviewers comments. Worried a bit about the structural integrity of the hot tub.A great opportunity to become ONE with the river. Would definately like to return someday.

My sisters-of-choice and I held our second annual Girls' Weekend in your beautiful home. We all went to high school together "a few years ago" and we have reconnected. We had an amazing time ~ went to the store early on Friday but never left the house again. The home is beautifully furnished and being along the river is amazing! We scapbooked and made cards and visited and visited some more. The new dining table and the flooring are beautiful! The photos are great but the pictures do not do the home justice. It is better than that! Thank you to Bob for helping us with tech issues ~ he was a great sport in helping us! Thank you so much!!!! We will be back again next year!!!

Wine Tour

Date of Stay: 10/27/10 Review Submitted: 11/08/10

With four of our friends, my wife and I (3 couples in all) enjoyed staying at your floating home during our recent Oregon get-away. It worked out perfectly. The jetted spa, fire pit and canoe were all put to use... great features we wouldn't have been able to find at a hotel. A driver was able to pick us up at the house for an awesome wine tour experience with friends. Thanks for making your home on the river available for us to enjoy.

Fantastic vacation site!

Guest: GabbyG (The Villages, Florida)
Date of Stay: 08/22/09 Review Submitted: 09/01/09

We have enjoyed a wonderful two weeks on this Floating Home! The views are fantastic, the location is ideal for relaxing or touring (wine country is within 45 minutes),and the fishing is fun. One of the wonderful "extra's" has been the owner's allowing us access to their great garden of fresh tomatos, herbs, and berries. And,a short canoe trip up the river has provided all the wild black berries one could gather. For those who love to cook, the kitchen is well equiped, both with sharp knives and great pots and pan. The local water is super, so our coffee and tea have been far above ordinary. The fish market in Oregon City as well as the Oregon City Farmers Market have supplied us with fantastic local produce....this has been a chef's dream vacation!

Awesome relaxing getaway in the Portland area

Guest: Kairay (Eugene, Oregon)
Date of Stay: 09/05/08 Review Submitted: 09/18/08

I rented this home for a 40th birthday bash with 7 college buddies from out of state (I'm local). I knew the location was just upriver from Willamette Falls and the paper mills, so that didn't phase me any. Otherwise, completely as advertised - beautiful, scenic, all accommodations were fine - stereo, cable TV, wi-fi, fishing poles, canoe, hot tub. Be prepared - this baby floats and rocks with the wake of water skiers. Almost got splashed out of the hot tub. Very dangerous for little kids - no railings on decks, even upper level, and unprotected train crossing to access the ramp. Those in the party not used to trains complained about it, but I'm from a train town so did not mind. Very convenient to Mt Hood, Columbia Gorge, Portland, and PDX. Did dinner and night clubs in Portland and easy drive back on 99 to the house. Oregon City is an interesting town full of history - Google will find you anything you need in town. McMenamins pub just a short distance away. Everyone in my party (and I'm talking about 40-year old who love to dish out abuse to each other) loved it and thanked me for arranging it. Even the inflatable bed was top notch. There was even firewood available and a cart to lug your stuff down from the parking area.
