FEATURED ON HGTV's LIVING CHANNEL AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 HOMES - Have you ever wondered what it would feel like living aboard a floating home? Imagine waking to the gentle cradle of a river's current and feeling blessed enough to be able to experience the tranquility of life on the river. Serenity awaits you at our home.
Whether you are a business traveler seeking rejuvenating solitude, a romantic couple looking to rediscover one another, an artist waiting to be inspired again, an adventurer looking to explore God’s country, or a family in need of precious time together, just to share with one another, this is a home-away-from home guaranteed to sooth your soul.
Can you imagine, vision yourself basking in the stillness of the morning sun, stretched out on a cushy lounge chair, drinking a steaming cup of freshly brewed, Northwest coffee from our panoramic floating deck? Breath in the beauty of nature as the sun rises before you reflecting off the tranquil water. Witness the morning routine of our resident otters and beaver as you soak in our second story "Lookout Tower" spa.
In the evening feel free to defy the darkness by lighting a bon-fire in the custom fire pit, while your line drifts with the river’s current anticipating a tug on your line from a nocturnal channel catfish swimming deep below. Gazing at your pole, your mind congers up visions of pan-fried channel catfish over roasted potatoes, mmm, dinner awaits you.
You will experience nature as never before, without ever leaving our home. The Pacific Northwest is known as Salmon Nation, from the house you can witness these majestic fish throughout the seasons as they breakwater searching to find their way upstream to spawn, fulfilling their life’s destiny. You will hear the Osprey cry out as they call to one another, circling high above, surveying the river for their prey. The Great Blue Herron, Bald Eagle, a variety of Geese, and exotic Ducks are no strangers to our back yard. Come experience river life for yourself.
This is much more than a vacation, it is an opportunity allowing you to take in the beauty of nature. If you had previously considered taking your family on vacation elsewhere, reconsider. You can forget about the theme parks in the big cities with their unavoidable crowds; this is one vacation that you will never forget. Bring your family to the end of The Oregon trail where the real adventure begins.
Oregon, The Original Adventure Land.
P.S. The house is nice too.

What a blessing it was to stay this BEAUTIFUL FLOATING HOME. We enjoyed the lovely scenery looking through picture windows throughout the home. We spent peaceful time on the spacious deck out back on the Willamette River. We watched water-skiers ski up and down the river... WOW!
This floating home was featured on HGTV's Living Channel 80 Homes. The home has all of the amenities we could ever want... Three bedrooms including a spectacular master suite. Located in Oregon City, this home is close to everything. We visited downtown Portland, the vineyards in the surrounding area, and the beautiful falls on the way to the Oregon coast.
What a relaxing and enjoyable vacation... We would love to go back again soon!

Your lovely home is one that I will remember for many years to come. It is so amazing to relax and watch the river. The property is always clean and well maintained. We only left one time in four days to visited the beautiful tulip fields a short distance away. I look forward to visiting you home in the future.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Stayed here with a couple of other families, and it was an OK place with terrible owners. We've stayed at multiple other vacation rental homes and this was the worst by far. The hot water stopped working less than an hour or so into our stay - no showers were taken. When we called the owners, they took many hours to return the call. Then they said they couldn't come for another couple of hours. No apologies, no offer to reduce the amount they charged. Nothing. We had a couple of kids and wanted to use the air mattress - we checked before coming as we have our own and would have brought it. "No problem", they said, there were air mattresses in the house. When we started to fill it, we noticed a VERY large hole close to where you fill it up. It would be hard to miss it - even a cursory inspection would have found it. When we told them about it - again there were no apologies, no offer to reduce the charges. Instead, they told us to leave it out and circle where the hole was so they wouldn't have to look. I've never rented a house where the owners cared less. Just terrible. The location is right on the water, but it's also about 25 feet from the trains as well. Trains going all the time - could be a plus or a minus, depending on your preference. It should be something that is mentioned, but it's not on the site. Overall, just a terrible experience. The house isn't near anything - it's a good 20 min to half an hour to get into portland. In terms of cleanliness - acceptable, but not good. Big factory belching out smoke close by, but none of the pictures online show it. It dominates a significant portion of the view (~25% of the view).Did you find this review helpful? This is the third year that my former high school classmates and I have rented the floating house on the Willamette River. We simply love it and will make this our annual retreat! There are plenty of beds for all of us and the view is fantastic! I am even considering renting again soon with my family. I truly recommend this property to all. It's right on the river, so relaxing, peaceful and quiet.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This is an absolute experience you don't want to miss! I live in Beaverton, and everytime I go there, I feel like I am a million miles away from the everyday hubbub of life. For the last three years, we have a high school girlfriend retreat here...lots to do around us, but we chose to just stay on the floating home...it is so comfortable and beautiful!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My high school friends and I were just at this fantastic home for our third annual girls' weekend. We have enjoyed this home so much that we added another day to our weekend. We now are going to be there next year again from Thursday to Sunday. We had a fantastic time scrapbooking, eating, visiting, eating and visiting some more. We watched a couple of movies and just enjoyed each other's company. This home is beyond fantastic! It meets and exceeds every one of our needs. When we get there, none of us even want to leave. When you are in the home, you feel like you are completely removed from everything ~ and yet you are so close to the things you might need or want to do. We choose to stay there and not go shopping because we love the home so much! Joyce is a great hostess and the home has everything you need. We will be back next year!!! If anyone is looking for a place to get away from it all ~ this is the place!! The location ON the river is so amazing! The home has a great WiFi system. We were all able to use it and felt so connected!! Thank you, Joyce!Recommended for: Girls getaway.

Enjoyed this unique property for a couples get together. A meritage of delux hotel and camping on the river. Agree with other reviewers comments. Worried a bit about the structural integrity of the hot tub.A great opportunity to become ONE with the river. Would definately like to return someday.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers.
