This unique traditional built 2 bedroom 2 bath tropical house truly resembles tropical living! With Pool and amazing ocean and sunset views from two balconies.
This spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath cliff tropical home is one of a kind. Built in traditional construction style, with over 10,000 palm leaves making the roof of this magnificent tropical home. The roof is supported by a giant tree in the center which also serves as a circular staircase into a bedroom on the second floor. The house and its screened windows are designed to take advantage of the constant cliff side breeze giving no need for a lot of air-conditioning. Except for the bathrooms and the tile floor on the ground floor the house is all in wood.
The house enjoys an amazing pool with waterfall and jets for relaxation as well as two balconies to the front and the back with a seating and dining area both inside and outside. The less populated south ridge is also a lot more quite as barely any cars roll by. Casa Jungle is one of 4 units in a small vacation resort. Each bedroom has its own bathrooms, a living/ dining room with kitchen and a private and spacious balconies in. Sliding doors make the balcony accessible from all rooms. Amazing ocean and beach views are to be enjoyed from each room and the balcony. This unit has all the modern amenities one expects from a modern but tropical apartment.
The privacy is amazing and one feels as the Flamingo South ridge belongs all to oneself.

The beach is only minutes in walking distance with a wide variety of dining and entertainment and shopping possibilities across the beach on the north ridge of Flamingo. Another advantage of this unit is it is close to everything but just far away to feel secluded enough to truly enjoy the daily monkey visits and experience the variety of wildlife directly in front of the property.

We arrived in Flamingo after dark with only the name of the 'casa' and general directions (which turned out to be accurate sort of in the light of day). After asking in many places the security of another beachfront place thought they might know which villa we were talking about and phoned to help us. People in CR are wonderful. We arrived to wake up the caretaker who wasn't expecting us. The unit had not been cleaned so we stayed the first night in a unit which had been cleaned. (this is typical for CR - non-resident owners German speaking, non-resident managers English speaking, resident staff spanish speaking, no communications. Next day the staff was up early and had our unit cleaned very nicely. This unit is called the 'treehouse' because there is the trunk of a tree in the centre holding the thatched roof up. There is one normal bedroom in the back, and the open loft bedroom up near the roof with a tiny wooden curved staircase going up the tree! Very cool. The benefit of owners/managers who were not on the ball was that we had the entire property too ourselves most of the week. The units are very nice, we were very satisfied with our treehouse and would return, and stay there again. The treehouse is bordering on 'rustic' but very livable. One thing to note is that the roof lets noise in (and out) You WILL hear monkeys in the early morning that sound like they are in bed with you! There are windows, but also many screened openings to let air in. The small pool shown above is shared, freezing and not private from the other units so don't get any ideas! There are a couple of small balconies, good for sitting or yoga. The house sits up a goat track that passes for a road (4wd not necessary) and those terrified of heights might be squeamish. The view, nature, breeze, weather, beach etc. were perfect, fantastic. The beach was the best I've ever been to in CR. Warm water, little tide/current, constant small waves to play in, clear water, little rays swimming in the waves (a couple of small water snakes sshh) warm sand. You can walk or drive to the beach. Walking back is great exercise, and the plunge pool is waiting. Flamingo beach itself is small and quiet but there is great diving (lots of sharks, turtles, mantas, pelagic fish and other stuff - and whales too apparently but I didn't see them) Plan to cook your own meals, siesta, make love, read, swim, sleep, repeat. You will cry when it is time to go Pura VidaRecommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
