Chincoteague house description
'Everhaven' is the perfect getaway. Relax, unwind and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Bird watch, bike, sun bathe, swim, fish and crab, or just relax, lounge, read or enjoy a drink on the large, private screened in porch or deck. Drive, hike the walking trails, or bicycle through the beautiful Chincoteague wildlife refuge and see the many varieties of shore birds in this Birders Paradise, and the famous wild Chincoteague ponies. Assateague National Seashore provides miles of the best unspoiled Natural Beach, voted one of the best beaches in the country. A wonderful place for a couple, a family, or a group of friends.

Catch a movie at the Roxy, which always seems to have the most popular, current movie playing. Play some miniature golf after dinner and be sure to get to one of the popular ice cream eateries for dessert or a snack.
Rent a moped, or ride one of the 4 bikes that are provided at Everhaven and tour the island. Enjoy the sunsets on the bay side of the island. Whatever you do....relax and enjoy yourself.

This home was everything we could want in a vacation rental. It is clean and well-maintained. Love the porch and the washer and dryer were a nice amenity - no dirty laundry to pack! It's in a quiet location, but not far from restaurants and other activities. We had a great meal at AJ's, our server, Jan, was awesome. We paid many visits to the Island Creamery for the best homemade ice cream. We had a great time!!!

Great screened Porch
House was as listed. Great screened in porch. Nice to have beach chairs/towels available. This is a house - with personal touches everywhere. Good location - close to everything. House is tucked away - very private. Clean, well maintained.

Quiet time on the island
Quiet time on the island
We had a very relaxing 5 days on the island and very much enjoyed this home. The home is located in a very quiet area of the island, but convenient to all things. It is comfortably furnished and clean and accurately described by the owner. The amount of great stuff the owner provides for the beach was very appreciated. We had all we needed and more for lazy afternoons in the sand. The bikes provided by the owner are fun as well. The screened porch is the focal part of the home and we spent many hours on it safely protected from the ravenous mozzies that awaited us when we walked out the door. The property owner very easy to make arrangements with and very responsive.

Nice hideaway, quiet and private. Owner very helpful: handy information book makes it easy to find everything you need. Clean and uncluttered. Beach and refuge are beautiful all year round. Have morning coffee on the screened porch surrounded by nature -- so relaxing!

What a beautiful home. The house was clean, nicely decorated, and very spacious. The screened in porch was wonderful. We spent hours relaxing, playing games, and enjoying the hammock. Our family enjoyed riding bikes around the development. There was a beautiful nature trail not too far from the house. We found the beach and restaurants were all very close. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay. Anything you could need, the owners have provided: bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. The porch was a terrific place to begin the day and relax after a day at the beach.

Why the Owner Chose Chincoteague:
Our family has been vacationing on Chincoteague Island, VA for 27 years. For 21 years we stayed in rental houses. It is a very family friendly, fun vacation spot. Our kids are now grown and married and we have 3 wonderful grandchildren. Our entire family continues to enjoy Chincoteague throught the year. Seven years ago we decided to buy our own house on Chincoteague Island to continue our family tradition in our own home. Everhaven is our second home, and not strictly a rental house, so you will find personal touches in the house.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
'Everhaven' is situated on a corner lot of a quiet, cul de sac in the Oyster Bay II community of Chincoteague Island. Enjoy the large screened in porch with ceiling fan. There is a front deck with 2 charcoal barbecue grills. Come home from the beach and enjoy a shower in the outdoor shower, which has hot and cold water. We provide linens, towels and beach towels, if you need them, but they will need to be washed and dried before your departure. The house is minutes from the beautiful beach and wildlife refuge on Assateague Island.
