Property and facilities there - great. But arrived at 2.00am (after a 6 hour detour due to bad weather - it took us 14hours in all to drive from San Francisco to Mammoth) to find the Chevron station closed - even though we'd been told it was open 24hours! They had sent an email at 9.30 pm but we weren't connected to the internet during the journey. Another disappointment was that the Jacuzzi was closed for maintenance and that hadn't been mentioned before we arrived either! Overall a good time was had by all.

Beautiful, immaculate and well-stocked condo on the golf course. All three couples stayed comfortably during Bluesapalooza and we are likely to stay again next year. It is within walking distance to the event. Our dealings with the owner and management company were fantastic. Everything went as planned, without difficulty. Six thumbs up!

The condo was lovely and very accommodating for our needs with two toddlers and four adults. The location is super ideal to the grocery store and to Eagle Lodge. Our only real issue with the condo itself was the lack of pot holders for pots and pans. We have stayed at the complex three times in three different condos. Keep in mind, the condo (actually all of the condos we have stayed in) are lovely and absolutely fabulous, but there are general items that fall under the blanket of the home owners that are spotty and need some attention. The internet for the entire complex is spotty at best and we have had times where it did not work at all. If your goal is to get a way from it all, this is a good thing. If you still need to do work, maybe not such a good thing. The last issue we have is to the complex general maintenance of the Spa. The spa water was cloudy meaning poor water chemistry. The spa itself was filthy and the bottom of the spa ruins swim suits when you sit in it. The spa is usually a mandatory thing for us when we come out in the winter.

We have always stayed closer to Canyon Lodge and decided to try Sierra Star Golf Course area. We were extremely happy with how nice Soltice 6 was and how easy to was to get to Vons Market from that location. It was also easy to get to Canyon Lodge and was just around the corner from Eagle. We will stay at Soltice 6 again next year if available. The condo was beautiful, the underground parking was very convenient, and they had everything we needed including an in unit washer/dryer.

This was an excellent place, well located and equipped (though the kitchen knives could use sharpening . . .) spotlessly clean and very welcoming. My only negative comment would be that I am not sure how more than 8 folks could fit the space; yes, there are two rollaway beds but where would they go???? Since my group was five adults and two very small children we were able to make do with the children sleeping in the master closet . . . Bottom line, I would highly recommend!

Manager response: Some people have the roll away bed set up in the closet while some people move the queen bed and make room for the roll away next to the bed. Some other guests have done the same in one of the other bedrooms while others set up one of the roll away beds in the living room next to the sleeper sofa.
We really enjoyed this beautiful town home for one week this summer. The unit was extremely clean and wonderfully appointed- especially the kitchen! The location is great, close to town but not too close! The front desk service also made the booking experience a breeze and they were able to answer questions while we were there. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking to stay in the Mammoth area.

Very nice, comfortable facility, esp the (3) bedrooms. Clean, modern and well decorated w/ nice furniture, lighting & accessories. Kitchen performed well with adequate utensils, pots, pans, silverware, etc... Outdoor BBQ performed well. I would stay here again. Issues worthy of consideration & attention: 1) Dishwasher does not clean effectively: leaves hard soap crystal residues all over inside walls of washer & dishes, even after 2+ washes possible solution(s):liquid soap supplied vs existing powdered soap, or, higher water pressure or? 2) Master & lower baths: shower water pressure is soft & inadequate possible solutions; new, higher performance / pressure spray heads that deliver pressure & still meet water conservation mandates? 3) Spa water is dirty w/ floating debris from spa cover; existing spa cover is aged & deteriorating and small black flakes from this cover are floating in water which then sticks to bathers. possible solution(s) = new cover and better routine servicing to clean filters, etc.. or just remove the cover permanently and leave spa uncovered. 4) Couch / bed combo in living room is uncomfortable to sleep on when deployed.. Guests chose to sleep on the living room floor rather than sleep a second time on this couch / bed. possible solution = new couch bed w/ better mattress. Or, just buy a new couch w/ NO bed option that has upgraded cushion support for (1) person to sleep comfortably. Again, overall the property was well appointed and maintained well by housekeeping crew. Thanks for the nice experience at your facility!

About: Born in 1953, I was always fascinated with skiing which I finally learned in 1975. During my many trips to Mammoth, I fell in love with the area and vowed to own my own place there some day when I could afford it. My dream eventually came true. As a youngster, I was fascinated with electronics and studied it all the time. The hobby was expensive so I got my first job at age 14 washing dishes to support my hobby. Soon thereafter, I moved up to a wholesale bakery where I worked 20-30 hours per week to support my hobby while going to school full time. Upon graduation from high school, I got my first job in the electronics industry installing and repairing car telephones. This was in the days long before cellular telephones when the car phone took up most of the trunk of the car and cost thousands of dollars. Soon thereafter, I started working on two way radios where I worked on communications systems for the US Marshall, police departments and thousands of businesses. At age 21, I started my own company selling and servicing two-way radios. To this day, I am still running the same operation and love what I do. The only unfortunate aspect is that I have not figured out how to do it in Mammoth and make enough money to live in Mammoth full time.
Although I already owned a unit at The Village At Mammoth, I wanted something that would provide a more relaxed atmosphere and accommodate a larger number of people. We often invite friends and family to visit with us at Mammoth so we quickly outgrew our unit at The Village. However, most units in Mammoth have outdoor parking which in winter time is a major hassle whenever it snows, so we wanted the heated underground parking. Although I like the convenience of The Village, the large amount of activity often prevented us from truly being able to relax in Mammoth. Solstice is peaceful, quiet and remote enough that we encounter wildlife that does not visit The Village. We wanted to teach our little girls about the great outdoors which is in far greater abundance at Solstice.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
When skiing at Mammoth, Solstice is the ultimate for rest and relaxation. Located on 16th hole of the Sierra Star Golf Course, it is a short 2 minute free ride to the Little Eagle Lodge from the bus stop located about 500' from the condo. The convenience of the location makes it easy to get around town to eat out or we can cook in the fully equipped kitchen in our unit. With the playing cards, poker chips, numerous games, food supplies, the custom artwork, large flat screen TVs, DVDs and all the other amenities we put in our unit, it is truly our home away from home, a place to rest, relax and enjoy! All our guests receive a free surprise gift to which our guests claim that it is a true 'deal maker!' Solstice is a beautiful new condominium project, placed in the middle of the Sierra Star golf course, and just a short ride from Eagle Express (chair 15). Surrounded by woods, the complex is situated between the 16th fairway where every unit has wonderful views, and the clubhouse conveniently located across the street. For access to the slopes, or just getting around town, leave the car at home, and catch the free town shuttle from the nearest stop, just a 1/2 block from your front door. The 3 bedroom units all have a convenient ground level entrance which leads to the main, 2nd floor living area, and a 3rd floor master bedroom. Amenities of Solstice include a year-round outdoor Jacuzzi, secure underground parking with elevator access to the main level and clear crisp mountain air!
