Private gates, a unique surfside experience awaits you. Slow down your busy pace of life and enjoy the rustic rhythm of the surf along this pristine stretch of coastline. Nestled among the exclusive beachfront homes on Padaro Lane, this classic hacienda-style home is a fantastic family retreat. The Main House with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths is the anchor of this welcoming beachside property. A wall of sliding glass doors in the great room is the only thing that separates you from the sand and crystal blue surf. The great room is the center of all activity with a wood burning fireplace, breakfast bar, flat screen TV, dining table and computer desk. Off the great room is a seaside patio where you will enjoy relaxing sunsets and many outdoor meals.
It is also a convenient vantage point for keeping an eye on children playing on the beach.
The bright master bedroom of the Main House boasts sweeping views of Padaro Beach. Lounge chairs on the master bedroom patio offer a peaceful place to read or sunbathe. The spa tub in the master bathroom promises a relaxing end to your busy days spent on the beach. The second bedroom of the Main House is open and bright with two full size beds under a white-washed open beam ceiling. It has a private bath and a separate entrance off the central patio. A covered sitting porch just outside offers a shaded restful spot on the central patio. The Adobe Cottage is the largest of the 3 guest cottages on the property, and it is the oldest known adobe structure on Padaro Lane. A private entrance to the cottage is off the central patio. The living room decor is casual and elegant in San Ysidro Ranch style. The wood burning fireplace creates a rustic ambiance filling the room with warmth. Large windows facing the ocean bring an abundance of light and cool ocean breezes to the space.
The Adobe Cottage Master Bedroom with king size bed is adjacent to the second bedroom with a twin size bed; ideal to keep sleeping children nearby. Completing the picture of this 2 bedroom cottage is a well equipped full kitchen and colorful Mexican pottery accents. Just off the central patio and under a shady magnolia is the Surf Cottage with its own private deck. The décor is bright and cheerful in this very comfortable space that sleeps 3 with a queen size bed and a twin bed. A full kitchen with bistro table adds convenience to this enjoyable studio cottage. The Surfliner Cottage is tucked under large shady trees and is set back 100 feet (?) from the main house and central patio. There are two twin beds and a full bath. Sliding glass doors bring the coastal breezes right inside while offering access to its own peaceful patio with lounges and dining table just outside. The reason for its name is obvious as the Amtrak Surfliner train passes by just across Padaro Lane!
The hacienda-style design of Casa Padaro brings family and friends together with a sense of community, while offering privacy and individualized comfort for every guest. This coastal haven is a sanctuary; one to which you will want to return year after year.

This week she has had an expression of pure bliss permanently etched on her face. She slept so well, lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves, a big comfy bed by the sea all to herself, surrounded by the ones she loves. This week at Casa Padaro has been the perfect way to honor our grandma/ mother who turned 80 this year. We saw seals, dolphins, pelicans everyday, we had beautiful weather, made gorgeous meals to enjoy on the long courtyard table together, and were even blessed with an amazing double rainbow! Lots of fun. 3 kids 4 and under - perfect place for them to play in the courtyard. Enough toys here for playtime and in a safe area. Tons of kitchen supplies. The place reeked of character and the beach must be one of the finest stretches in the whole west coast. We also got a big charge out of seeing dolphins swim by several times. A perfect place for all: the beach, the big patio table for dinner, the kayak trip to the painted caves, and the concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl.
