We stayed here over Thanksgiving, there were 5 adults total. The house is in a great location, close to everywhere we wanted to be. For us, it was a landing base for a very busy weekend, the kitchen was great for breakfasts, but we ate elsewhere for every other meals. The house was a little chilly for what we are used to coming from desert country. Be aware, noise carries in this house-it is beautiful and modern and sound bounces everywhere. My father-in-law is an early riser and the rest of us didn't appreciate waking up at 5:30 while on vacation. Nice place, I think next time we need to rent we will keep this as an option but will look around.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Found this house while looking for a home to rent for 4 adults. (rather than hotel rooms) for a 4-5 day stay. The home is very clean, quite modern in its design and decor; the master bedroom and bath on the upper floor provide a great escape if needed; the main living space on the second floor is open and roomy; Kitchen has great gas stove and large french style fridge; the two bedrooms on the lower entry level floor are served by a very spacious bath/shower as well. Provided washer/dryer should you need it (we didn't but nice to know it's there). Beds are definitely more 'modern style', I think European is the proper style; comfortable queen platform beds, fairly low to the floor, which wasn't necessarily the easiest to get out of; (something to keep in mind if you happen to have any physical limitations); Don't get me wrong, beds are fine for most folks, but just know that they are quite low to the floor when you get in and out of them. Unit served by a tankless hot water heater which provided ample and very hot water on demand! Nice when there are 4 showers to take! We didn't have to use the heated floors since it was a comfortable 72-77 while we were in town and we kept the provided fans on most of the day and nite with windows open to keep it cooler. Don't let the outside appearance fool you, inside is a great home! As for the amenities, there is a very nice 55" TV mounted on the living room wall, with a bluray DVD player; (yes it will play non bluray dvd's so bring your favorites along!) TV is limited, only local over the air channels (received in HD) but no cable; broadband wireless internet is also provided; while it served its purpose for basic internet tasks (i.e., email, browsing the web, etc) it is not 'high speed', so don't necessarily count on using it for streaming video, etc. (which would be nice since there are otherwise limited tv channels...but, hey, coming from a high tech family it got us by!) Would we have liked a bit more variety on tv? Sure. Was it a deal breaker. No. Besides, you don't go on vacation to watch tv! You go to do things.. which, this house is very nicely located to do! The Woodland Park zoo is all of 10 minutes away, downtown about 15-20 mins depending on traffic, and very convenient to I-5. Why pay hotel pricing for 2 or more rooms when you can rent a home! 5 stars for value/location/property. 4 stars for tech (family rated tech!) Owner very easy to contact, addressed all concern/needs!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Modern kitchen and baths, beautifully done. A location we would rent again.Owner response: So glad to hear you and your family had a great stay and found the home so comfortable. I was looking for a home that was 1) safe, 2) functional, and 3) good location. I think overall this house is great. If you are traveling with kids, there are a few things you should keep in mind. 1) Safety- The neighborhood feels safe. Very nice! The house is overall kid friendly, however, I was traveling with an 18mo that has no sense of danger. The stairs have openings in bt the steps but Baby was a tad bit wider than the opening so Baby couldnt slip thru. The 2nd floor has windows that are kind of "ceiling to floor." Although they did not look like a hazzard at ALL, it made me nervous to have Baby leaning on the window (i sometimes need eyes in the back of my head). 2) Functionality- The 1st floor has 2 bdrms, second floor has the living area, and the 3rd floor has a master bdrm. If you are traveling with kids, the layout may be a little more challenging. The master is on the 3rd floor- which is very nice and ideal for very tired and sleepless parents. However, the other two rooms are on the first floor. I personally do not feel comfortable having my young kids on the 1st floor while i sleep on the 3rd floor! Luckily, we had the grandparents with us so Mom and Dad slept in the master bedroom on 3rd floor w crib, kids in the 1st floor bdrm (the one not facing the street and no sliding glass door) and grandparents in the other bedroom on the 1st floor. There is no dining table and no AC (non issue in June). 3) Location- The house was centrally located. There is a QFC market & restaurants on 45th. You can easily walk to 45th, but with kids in strollers i didnt attempt to since it would probably be a 15 minute walk, uphill. There is off street parking w/ the unit but we didnt use it much bc it was a little difficult for me to navigate the minivan on the gravel driveway. Instead, we just parked on the street! No problem. Other tid bits: When you arrive, unload from the street in front of the house. It's easier. Separate your recycling from your trash. The trash bins are small and if you recycle, you'll have more room in the outside bin for all your garbage. The owner was very prompt in responding to my txts/emails. There is no chair in the house that you could attach a travel highchair to. We rented a crib through a company in Seattle that i found via a Google search- Happy Little Traveler. And finally, beds were comfy & low to the ground. Great for kids, maybe not so great for less-abled seniors. Showers were great! Overall, very nice.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Great, glad that you had a good stay and thanks for the tip on Happy Little Traveler for Cribs.

This home was a great space for our family of 5 (ages 14, 12, and 9), during our week stay in June. The decor was very inviting and the location was great. It was close to neat little shops and restaurants and just a short drive into downtown Seattle. No complaints! Seth was great to work with. We had a great vacation!Did you find this review helpful? We were pleasantly surprised at how lively and active the Wallingford neighborhood is, while being just a 10 minute drive to the city center. We were able to walk to the amazing Gas Works park on Lake Union in less than 10 minutes. And, there are a ton of great restaurants ranging from basic ethnic foods to modern seattle cuisine. It's a great home in a great location. And the home itself is very comfortable and all the appliances and furnishings are nearly new and high quality, which is very nice for a rental. The sheets and linens all felt very rich as well, it's nice to see an owner keeping things fresh for their guests. thank you, Seth.Owner response: Always makes us happy when guests have a great stay.

The house is in a quiet neighborhood in a great neighborhood. Very easy to get to I-5 and route 99. Short walk to Gasworks park, Fremont, Wallingford shops and restaurants. The interior looks great and the house stayed nice and cozy in the not so warm Seattle spring time. We were two families staying for 5 nights and had no problems with space or sleeping arrangements.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

Our family chose Seattle for our Spring Break/Sr. Trip. Although the weather was a bit chilly and damp we had a great time, and Seth's place was the icing on the cake. It was great to have 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathroom's with our teenagers. This house has a modern contemporary feel and still is cozy and comfortable and wonderful to "come home to" after a long day of sight seeing. It is well appointed in all rooms (could have used a few throw blankets and pillows for the sofa) with everything you would need in the kitchen and baths. The beds were very comfortable and the baths always had hot water (although the master bedroom shower is tricky - I'm not up to speed on the workings of the modern fixtures) and thick soft towels. The kitchen is great and would provide all you'd need to cook if you were so inclined. Thanks for the coffee stash! We ordered pizza from the pizzeria recommended on the info sheet and it was good. The area was quiet and the street was not too crowded - of course the dedicated parking space was great! His place was only about a 15 minute drive (at most) to all downtown attractions. We took in Pike's place (recommend the Pike's Place Taste & See Tour), the space needle - restaurant is excellent but pricey, Seattle Music Project - fun if you have musicians in the group, and did some whale watching with lunch on Whidby Island - really awesome. We ate at Iver's Seafood and it was descent. We were going to head up the moutain for a day of skying but the kids weren't feeling too good that last day. Highly recommend Seth's place for your Seattle vacation. March is a little chilly and damp - we were fortunate to have sunshine each time we were outdoors... We packed for the weather and had a great time....sounds like July/August is the best time to visit for the weather.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We are from Hilton Head, SC and our son and grandson live in Seattle, Wa. We go to Seattle about 4 times a year. We look for a quality place to stay near his residence in Wallingford. We searched VRBO and found this ad - Stunning Architectural. 3BR/2.5BA Pkng - and checked it out. We spoke to the owner and asked lots of questions about his rental. We were satisfied with his answers and decided to give it a try. We were only 2 and the place was a little big for us - 2 bedrooms downstairs that we didn't use - but the home had a large kitchen, nice size living room with a big screen TV and upstairs bedroom and large bathroom which was perfect for us. The location in Wallingford was just what we wanted and convenient to anywhere you would like to go in the Seattle or surrounding area, the property was clean and well maintained, and the description of the place was accurate. We would highly recommend staying there for anyone with a family of 4 to 6 people. We will be traveling to Seattle many more times and will probably stay there again. The only drawback for us is not the place but for 2 people, it was a little too expensive. However, we really liked our stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

This modern Cube was fantastic! The house was easy to find. Street parking would have been a challenge but fortunately we had a reserved parking spot. The house itself was clean and the amenities were superb! The modern decoration was great, the bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms excellent. We enjoyed the multiple shower heads and Seth sent a great information sheet so we would know how to use the special features of the house. The location was especially perfect. We were within walking distance to several coffee shops, restaurants and bars! We went on the duck tours and the tour practically drives by the front door. It was very easy to get to the waterfront as well as the Seattle Center from the Cube as well! Finally I would like to commend Seth for his excellent customer service. We responded practically instantly to all questions, comments or concerns. From the initial interaction to the final goodbye, Seth was nothing but professional and timely. He was very organized from information about the Cube to information about Seattle. He was friendly and very helpful. We would stay in this house again as well as recommend it to anyone who was planning a trip to Seattle.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We live in a small New York apartment and wanted to enjoy a spacious and comfortable home during our annual family visit to Seattle. The master bedroom is open and airy (with a private balcony). and, the open floor plan living room / kitchen was great for socializing with the family while I cooked. Spaeking of cooking - I loved the industrial grade Italian gas stove. See you next year, for sure!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

It was very close to the Wallingford area for some great food and also very near the heart of the city. The home was amazing and unique, but other guests have already pointed that out. I especially wanted to thank the owner (Seth) for promptly and patiently answering all of our emails and calls. It was our first time staying in a vacation rental instead of a hotel, and we sure did have a lot of questions. All the littlle details were taken care of and everything was perfectly smooth and organized. We might be finished with hotels. He also gave us great suggestions on the neighborhood (Molly Moons ice cream) and some great places to visit in seattle (Purple restaurant, ZigZag cafe). thanks for everything!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

I rented this house when we were visiting Seattle for a wedding. We stayed 5 nights. This house is very comfortable. It's ultra modern, which is different from my house, but that was the appeal for me. It feels much more like a vacation to me when it's something different. The house is clean and well-kept. Heated floors worked well and the entire house kept a comfy temperature. It's in a great location with easy access to the freeways. The space is spread across three floors. The first floor is the front entry into a small hall. There are two bedrooms on this level, one full bath and washer and dryer. The stairs go up to the main living area where the kitchen, a half-bath and living room are. Note that there's no dining table, but there is a nice large counter with a couple of bar stools. We ate out most every meal anyways with all the good eats and cafes in the Wallingford and Fremont neighborhoods. No cable TV, but there are lots of air channels and a blue-ray player. The third level is the master suite. It's got a balcony and a large bathroom. This is, of course, the largest of the rooms and the most comfortable. Get dibs on the top floor! Parking was the only issue for us. The street is pretty packed with two hour limits. Still, we managed as parking was fine just a couple blocks away. There's one reserved space in the back alley--be careful on the loose gravel. Overall, it was a great stay. The house served as a great "homebase." It was truly a "home away." P.S.--the owner is very easy to work with as well--everything went without a hitch.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The house is very nicely appointed with upscale finishes and stocked with towels, toiletries, coffee maker, etc. There were six of us who came to Seattle for a conference downtown. Since the house is situated only a block away from a bus stop, the commute downtown is approx. 20 minutes so there is no need to rent a car to get around. Also tons of restaurants and shops within a mile or two from the house. Seth was always very responsive and helpful when there were any questions needed to be answered. Great place and location. Really liked the reserved parking spot! Property was clean and maintained. Comfortable beds and awesome kitchen. Very modern home with great access to the city and surrounding cities. We lived in Seattle for 20 years and have friends in different cities and the access to freeways and great central location made it easy to get around to lots of places such as Bellevue, Kent and Redmond. We even took a trip to Leavenworth to see the snow. It was beautiful and worth the 2 hour drive.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at the house for a week and loved everything about it. It is extremely modern and very comfortable. We found the kitchen to be well equipped with plenty of dishes, glassware, silverware, as well as pots & pans. We also appreciated having a washer & dryer. The neighborhood and surrounding areas are wonderful - we walked all over Wallingford, Fremont, and Ballard. There is also a great walking / biking trail quite nearby. One of our favorite places to eat & drink is called Brower in Fremont. In addition, there are many, many good bars and restaurants within walking distance to the house. We would definitely recommend this property to friends.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We enjoyed a two week stay at the house. Everything we were in need of was there. Because the property is of a very high standard it felt like staying at a very nice hotel. Of course without the staff. And since we enjoy renting houses instead of staying at hotels when we're on vacation this was a nice surprise. The house is situated in a quiet neighborhood with the privacy we wanted every night we came back to the house.I am used to a great public transportation system in my town/country. I would not say that that is the case for Seattle. No problem cathing a bus downtown. But if you're planning to move outside of that area I would reccomend a car. That is why we rented a car throughout our stay in Seattle. No problem with parking at the house. All discriptions that the owner sent us in advance was easy to comprehend. I really appreciated that since we arrived late the day we checked in. May very well be the first time I haven't had any questions when it came to the use of the property I'm renting. Overall a very positive experiense for my family and I.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We just returned from a two week stay. I chose this neighborhood so that we could be close to all major attractions yet far enough away to just relax and chill if we wanted. The location is perfect if you have a vehicle. It would appear to be close to public transit. It is a straight 3 mile shot down the 99 to downtown. We were so delighted with Wallingford and the surrounding neighborhoods inc. Ballard, Queen Anne, Fremont, that we only spent three partial days downtown. Many days we just left the car parked in the dedicated parking space and took quick walks to many sights:Gasworks Park, Fremont Troll, Lake Union and some of the newest highly rated restaurants.Wallingford appears to have a bustling restaurant and bar scene but we also saw a lot of families walking around. It also has a good farmers market on Weds. Each surrounding neighborhood has a farmers market on alternate days so we went to a market each day of our stay. The home itself was very modern, comfortable, well maintained and well decorated.Everything was new so everything worked. The beds and bedding were of good quality, which honestly surprised me as they were from Ikea. We used the new front loading washer and dryer quite a bit. We did not use the oven but recognized it as being of professional quality. We "yelped" all of the "best of...." restaurants, bakeries, coffee bars all over Seattle and Bellevue and ate ourselves into oblivion. Since we walked all over, not a single ounce was gained on this trip. We would recommend Campagne and Cafe Campagne in downtown for well priced, exquisite French food, Macrina bakery for breakfast in QA. Seattles premiere Ice Creamery, Molly Moon, is in Wallingford and has lines around the block, but is well worth the wait. There is no TV service but we don't really watch TV anyways so we did not miss it. On demand Netflix is available but most of the movies are older and R rated so our family rented movies via the Red Box video at the local QFC market for $1/day. We enjoyed the You Tube access on the big screen TV. The neighborhood was eclectic with three story modern townhomes mixed with beautiful Victorians and small cottages. We felt very safe day and night. The neighbors were quiet and paid no attention to us. The owner responded quickly to any questions we had. I would definitely return to this home on future stays.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This clean, modern home was a perfect set-up for a family of four and in a great location for a vacation consisting of downtown and out-of-town activities. Owner was very easy to work with and promptly answered all of our questions both before and during our stay. Bedding was very comfortable and adults appreciated the extra privacy of a master separated from the kids' bedrooms by two floors. Kitchen was well-stocked with any appliance one could need. Neighborhood was quiet and home is an easy walk to many restaurants, coffee shops, etc., as well as a high-quality grocery. Downtown Seattle and Seattle Center are close via the nearby entrance to Aurora Ave. House is also a short drive to the zoo and the Ballard Locks. Fireworks at Gasworks Park were a quick walk away, too. Off-street parking (for one vehicle) was a nice luxury in a city neighborhood.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Very clean modern, trendy house. Owner was very nice and even stopped by to quickly handle a minor wireless internet glitch. He asked our opinion of the place and was receptive to the need for a microwave. Kitchen is otherwise great and is large with high-grade appliances. Has a reserved parking spot which is helpful because neighborhood is parking limited. Just a few blocks walk to 45th street which has many restaurants and pubs. Great place for a romantic get-away or family with teens. We would stay here again. Not necessarily the perfect place if you have small children because the master bedroom is on the 3rd floor and the other two bedrooms are on the first floor -- not a complaint though, we knew it going in.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: thanks for the review. I just purchased a new microwave this week, to go with the new toaster and coffee maker that I added the week before so the kitchen now has everything.

This modern home was the perfect place for our group to stay. The furnishings and fixtures were all modern and comfortable. The beds were surprisingly comfortable for a rental. This was far nicer and more comfortable than any hotel I have ever stayed in.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a lovely time staying at this well-designed modern house over the weekend with our friends visiting from out of town. The main floor with kitchen and living room is very open and comfortable. With a bathroom on each floor and three bedrooms, the house can easily accommodate a large family or several couples. The top floor is a spacious master suite (with a surprisingly large deck), making the house a good option for a romantic retreat as well. The owner was very friendly and easy to make arrangements with. The location is wonderful—a short walk to the beautiful city views of Gasworks Park and also a quick walk to the shops and restaurants on Wallingford’s 45th Street. The house came with a parking spot, but we were always able to find street parking close to the house as well.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

found this on vrbo- we stayed in this rental for 3 nights and were wow'd by the modern architecture and cool amenities. the only downsides were all attributable to the fact that the owner was new to renting and a couple staple items like a coffee maker and toaster weren't available to use. owner was very receptive to suggestions and said he would add those items asap. other than that the property really speaks for itself. dont miss out on this great rental in a great neighborhood. it was walking distance to one of the best restaurants in seattle, "joule"- absolutely fabulous menu, you'll need a reservation on weekends... then head over to "molly moons" ice cream shop for their salty caramel. would definitely stay again!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Just a quick note to say that we really enjoyed our stay here. After traveling all the way to Seattle from the east coast, it was nice to arrive at a comfortable home that was new, clean, and tidy. The heated floors did a great job of warming both the home, and our feet. The Modern design was really distinctive and entirely different than our house. Looking forward to staying with you again on our next visit.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This rental was perfect for our family of five located in a great neighborhood with lots of restuatrants and cafes within walking distance. Its is close to the U of W without having to deal with the traffic or the crowds. The house is modern with great use of space and very comfortable. Highlights are the kitchen, the master bedroom & bath (which occupies the entire 3rd floor) and the sun deck. The owner was very responsive to us on questions before and during our stay. We will definitley stay here again and highly recommend this place.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
