This condominium is truly lovely - a comfortable setting with gorgeous views. This summer (2004) we are completely stripping and renovating the kitchen with new hardwood cabinets, and breaking out a kitchen wall for a bar. The unit is light and airy, and renovated/updated throughout - with newly-replaced carpeting, new porch and bathroom tiles, new sofa and loveseat, new mattresses and bedroom furniture, new washer and dryer. There are TV's in both bedrooms and a TV,VCR, and DVD player in the living room. Both bedrooms have views of the ocean and bay, and open onto the balcony - at night you can listen to the waves rolling in! Located on the very tip of Little Hickory Island near Fort Myers and Naples, the oceanfront and bayside Bonita Beach Club truly lives up to the name "Bonita," or "beautiful." This resort-style gated community of seven landscaped acres includes paths meandering through a tropical garden with flowers, palms, and fountains, two beachfront tennis courts, and an 80-foot, oceanfront, heated, swimming pool (largest in area) with tiki bar and saunas.
The setting on a long, narrow peninsula is surrounded by water on 3 sides, natural and secluded, with white sand oceanfront beaches (perfect for shelling and walking) and secluded back bay beaches (surrounded by mangroves, teeming with fish and birds, and perfect for fishing or wildlife viewing.) On one side, you can explore 6 miles of white sand ocean-front beaches - maybe you'll find the perfect shell, or get up close and personal with dolphins! On the bayside, have a picnic while spying on herons hunting fish - or catch some fish of your own! If you're in the mood for an adventure, you can explore the mangroves in a kayak or head out for a day of fishing or manatee-spotting in a pontoon, explore adjacent Lover's Key State Park or - less than five minutes away - Barefoot Beach and Wiggins Pass State Parks. There is plenty to entertain you right at the building too - where you can enjoy BBC's own fitness room, pool room, ping-pong table, shuffleboard courts, and more. While there is plenty to keep you busy, Bonita Beach Club is also a perfect place for relaxing while enjoying a good book, the warm weather, and the beautiful Gulf Coast view. Finally, if you crave a dose of city life, just head over to nearby Naples for quaint shops, cafes, and fine dining.
