My wife and I felt like we had struck gold when we found Julia's Hideaway. We stayed in the downstairs unit. The apartment was clean and inviting. The back porch/courtyard is a gem. Great vibe. Location is about as good as it gets. Heart of the historic district, close proximity to restaurants (our favorite is Papillote) and bars (Sixpence Pub). To top it all off, when we left for home my wife also left her favorite pair of flats. Kenneth found them and shipped them back to us! What a guy. I have nothing, but good things to say about Julia's and Kenneth. Stay. You won't regret it.

As a Savannah-lover, I have been at least 5 times, I was so excited to bring my husband of 9 months to my favorite city! I played tour guide and he loved the city as much as I did. We could not have been more pleased with Julia's Hideaway! It was the perfect location, amenties and comfort! We were concerned @ the parking and it was a non-issue! We can't wait to come back to the good food, fun and to stay at Julia's! Thank you Ken and Julia!

We stayed in Julia's Hideaway on the second floor with our little 9# Mollie. The apt. looks just like the pictures and had everything we needed for our 46th anniversary get-away. It is so convenient that once you park your car, you really can walk to most places. We loved taking Mollie on walks to Forsyth Park and the many squares that were around. This was our first time in Savannah and we would definitely recommend taking one of the tours that are offered. This gives you an overview of the historic city and then you can walk to most areas that you might want to see more closely. We ate at some great restaurants. Goose Feathers for breakfast, Paula Deen for a great dinner buffet, Mrs. Wilkes for a tremendous lunch, served family style and is right around the corner. For a neighborhood bar and grill, we would recommend Molly MacPhersons Pub and Grill, great shrimp dinner, which is also within walking distance. We were only able to stay 3 days and 4 nights, which is not nearly enough. We would definitely suggest at least a week or even 2 weeks. Thanks Ken for allowing us such a nice stay and for letting us bring little Mollie. We appreciated you meeting us and going over the info. so we would have a nice time in a beautiful city. We hope to get back someday and would really like to stay at Julia's Hideaway.

The location was perfect. Lovely walk to river street. Parking was vey easy. Apartment was adorable. Back patio was perfect to sit on inthe morning with coffee or evening with wine. Be sure to eat at the old pink hous and visit the mercer house from midnight in the garden of good and evil just a few blocks away. Would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed in the upstairs apartment, Julia's Parlour, for five nights in April 2012 for our honeymoon. It's very, very clean and is convenient to everything in the historic district. We saved some money by eating breakfast and lunch "in" and simply going out for dinner. Ken is very responsive to any questions you might have. If we ever return to Savannah, we honestly will not stay anywhere else. You cannot beat the location, price, and cleanliness!

The tagline is exactly right - Julia's Hideaway is a beautiful little vacation rental in a perfect location. The apartment was clean and very well kept with a nice living space, a small kitchen and beautiful little seating area out back, much more accommodating than a hotel room. It's about a 2 minute walk to Forsyth Park or Bull Street, and within 10 minutes of anywhere in the historic district. We brought our bikes and were able to store them out back... bikes were wonderful and HIGHLY recommended for Savannah! Kenneth was responsive and very easy to work with, and he gave some great recommendations (Chrystal Beer Parlor, Tybee, and Blowin Smoke). We WILL be returning to Savannah, and we will stay at Julia's Hideaway again!

Yes, there are Hotels in Savannah, LOTS of them! But why stay at a hotel, even if it is closer to the river when you can stay a half mile from Paula's Place (Lady & Son's), the Riverfront and all that it has to offer and stay in a Historic Townhouse? You are met by Ken at Julia's and from the moment you walk in your Savannah stay starts wonderfully! Both of Ken's apartments are lovely! We stayed on the second floor in Julia's Parlor. And yes, there are stairs (and a handrail) going up to it. If you can't do stairs then step down two steps into the lower apartment that is just as lovely, almost identical in fact. They are both immaculate with fresh linens, and have all that you need plus all the comforts of home. I knew the moment we walked in that we had chosen THE place to stay in Savannah for a vacation that had been 28 years waited for and a year in the making. After awakening to the beautiful church bells we started our days on the deck with coffee and tea, overlooking the sweetest brick courtyard. At the end of a long day of sightseeing or riding to Tybee and Hilton Head you get to come back and have a hot shower (water NEVER got cold), sit on the deck with a glass of wine or take in the goings on up and down Whitaker from the beautiful front windows. You can cook if you choose to or are ambitious enough, as Ken provides all you need, or bring back a meal if you don't want to eat in at one of the many restaurants Savannah has to offer. We do recommend Lady & Son's for lunch and a shot out to Tybee to AJ's Dockside for a sunset meal ON the docks. For a really great Crab cake lunch we went to Savannah Riverfront Seafood and Bakery. The $20 Riverboat Cruise, a just made and still warm Praline, and Forsythe Park are must do's also. There is so much to do you can't do it all in a week and that is why you must come back again and again and stay at Julia's, your home away from home in Savannah! Ken, thanks so much for rescuing us on Monday night (and he did come back and "re-teach" us how to use to keypad, in the pouring rain!) and your great hospitality in sharing Julia's with us all! Can't wait to visit again! Cathy & Tina from MS & DE

I have been a frequent visitor to Savannah while staying at Tybee Island. This past month, I decided instead to try staying in Savannah. I am so glad I did! As a single traveler, I detest hotels. I am so glad to have found Julia's Parlor. I found the unit to be spacious, well equiped for my attempts at southern cooking, and very comfortable for a quiet evening after a day of shopping and sightseeing. I had ample street parking. And, my favorite part of my stay was enjoying coffee in the hidden garden. What a charming place! I have already booked my next visit!
