Cayman Condo - a Peaceful Beachfront Getaway

  If your looking for a vacation to unwind and rest this is the place. The condo was very clean and spacious. We had very comfortable nights sleeping with the comfy beds and adequate air conditioning since it was a bit humid during our stay. We loved having a washer and dryer in the unit which allowed us to reduce our luggage costs. The kitchen was fully stocked and even had some food essentials there for us to use. Our favorite area of the condo was the large screened lanai that faced the beautiful carribean sea. We miss having our morning coffee in the lanai watching the yachts go by. Having direct beach access is such a luxury. The pool and hot tub were very clean and on most days we where the only ones there. We ate at Kaibo Yacht Club a few times and it was very good. You can walk out of the condo with bare feet and get a Cayman Colada at their beach bar. Many nights we walked to Starfish Point to watch the sunsets. Rum Point was about a mile away and we went there 3 times. Our favorite restaurant near the condo was Kurt's Korner in Old Man Bay. We did not care for Over the Edge. Louise was very nice and even sent us one of her own crafts made out of coral. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation away from cruise ship tourists and crowded beaches this is the place.

  Great location. Beautiful beach. Owner very kind and very helpful. Only suggestion - a flashlight for power outages - power only out 1 hour - very windy all day and lost power around 7 or so. Very well supplied home. And the property manager very responsive.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

  We have visited Grand Cayman several times, but this was our first stay at Kaibo Condos. We loved the location. It was quiet, peaceful and very relaxing! This condo sits at one end of the complex and is just a short walk away from the pool and hot tub area. There are lots of shade trees, which I especially liked, and plenty of lounge chairs to enjoy, either on the beach or around the pool. The Rum Point area can be quite breezy, but the beach at Kaibo Condos Phase 1 is well-protected and much calmer. The condo itself is well-represented by the photos provided in the listing. The furniture is very comfortable and the condo is clean, nicely decorated and stocked with all the equipment a guest might need. The owner is quite artistic and has added many touches of her own making to the decor. The lanai is large and offers a table and chairs for eating a meal or playing games, as well as lounge chairs for relaxation. A door from the lanai leads directly onto the beach-- we loved the convenience! Jim and Louise were so helpful in answering questions and providing extra supplies for our visiting grandchildren; they even offered the use of life jackets and beach toys for the kids. Kaibo Yacht Club is an easy walk down the beach for the restaurant or beach bar. We particularly enjoyed "Over The Edge", a restaurant about 15 minutes away by car and right on the water. Rum Point restaurant is also very good. We didn't have a chance to take the luminescence tour, but we have taken the daytime version and found it very interesting. Starfish point is an easy walk from the condo and offers lovely white sand and good snorkeling. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo and would definitely recommend it to future guests. Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to stay there again as well.
