La Campagne Saint Charles is an old stone farm built during the French Revolution, located in the village of Cotignac, in the Var, Provence. Four bedrooms, each with a double bed, accommodate a maximum of 8 people. There are 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen is large, modern, and fully equipped.

One terrace serves as an outdoor sitting room, and another, furnished as a dining room, is shaded by an ancient mulberry tree. The swimming pool, surrounded by lavender, is fully fenced. The lovely garden is large and enclosed. There are both gas fired and charcoal barbeques. Linens and towels are provided.

Cotignac is a charming working village with bakeries, two butchers, a fishmonger, grocery store, a fromagerie, a news agent, a bank, post office, a weekly market, and excellent restaurants. There is a dentist and a doctor. It is a 10 minute walk down the hill to the main street from the house.

The house is about a one hour drive from St. Tropez, and about one and a half hours from either Nice or Marseilles. Cotignac is well placed to visit numerous attractive sites in the South of France, including the Abbaye de Thoronet, the Chateau at Entrecasteaux, the mediaeval villages of Fox-amphoux and Tourtour; Aix-en-Provence and Avignon are well within reach, and Arles, Grasse and St. Paul-de-Vence make wonderful day trips. The coast and beaches of the Mediterranean are near. There are vineyards with excellent wines to taste almost everywhere.
