The owners of this one story craftsman-style house have extensively renovated it as if they were going to live in it themselves, and in so doing have made this house into a home. The exterior has been re-sided in cedar and trimmed in white and green. The front porch has two porch swings on either side, facing each other. Great for sitting and watching the world go by. On the inside the original wood floors are newly restored and each room is trimmed in varnished wood. Some furnishings are the owners' personal collection of antiques. It's the perfect place to get away from all the hustle and bustle and still have the comforts and conveniences of a cozy home.
The location is walking distance to restaurants, a grocery store, laundry mat, and the post office. It's a short distance to Ten Mile Lake access and the county park where one can enjoy boating, fishing, and so much more. Ocean and dunes access is also near. It's the perfect location for those interested in exploring the southern Oregon Coast.
One bedroom has one queen-size bed; the 2nd bedroom has two XL twin beds; there are two twin-size 8" thick foam mats that can be placed anywhere, (with linens for each); and if needed we can provide a portable crib/playpen.

This is our second trip to the Homey House and it was just as charming as the first time we stayed there. Don and Donna are great to work with. There was no hassles with the reservation or the stay. The house now offered a barbeque and the fire pit which was a nice added feature. I really appreciate the washer and dryer on the property so we did not have to bring as much clothes. We have decided to make Lakeside our yearly vacation spot. With the beach nearby, it was a breeze to get to without the traffic.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Perfectly accommodated Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, and two teen granddaughters for a 3-day weekend visit with extended family in the area. Place is even nicer than the photos show. Clean and well-maintained. The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped - even a coffee grinder! Big fridge and nice electric stove. Very comfy beds. Nice location. Teens enjoyed early morning jogs and buggy rides on the dunes with their Uncles. Our stay at the Homey House definitely added to our family's cache of great memories!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
