Modern Luxury River House! Rivermac on the Toccoa!
- Minimum stay:2-4 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Rivermac is a luxury river cabin overlooking gentle rapids on the Toccoa River, across from the Chattahoochee National Forest.
This is a modern version of a classic river house with the vibe of an urban loft. Stunning views of the river are visible from nearly every room. Furnishings are comfortably modern with a contemporary blend of clean lines and natural materials. Large expanses of glass bring the outdoors in with views of the rushing river below and majestic evergreens reaching blue sky in the forest beyond.
The main level open floor plan features walls of glass soaring to a peak of over 30 feet. The jetted hot tub, with a custom built, multi-level surround, is located on a private covered deck open to the river and forest views. Architectural details such as sliding barn doors, subway tile, pipe railings, etc…all contribute to the ambiance.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a fantastic weekend getaway at Rivermac! The cabin was exactly as portrayed in the photos: directly overlooking the Toccoa River, with an airy, contemporary feel throughout. The place was sparkling clean and came equipped with everything one could want, even a set of skewers for toasting marshmallows in the fire pit! The sound of the river through the screen doors at night was amazingly soothing. It's all perfectly secluded, yet easy to get to, and under 15 minutes' drive from a large supermarket and good restaurants. We're so happy we found Rivermac, and we are already plotting our return!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My friends and I head up to the North Georgia mountains annually for some hiking, eating, and drinking. We have stayed at a wide variety of cabins in the mountains overlooking valleys. This was the first time staying on the Toccoa River and it was amazing. Sitting on the front porch listening to the river flow by or waking up to the sound of water is pretty awesome. And the house and owners couldn't be more accommodating. We are already planning our return and that will be a first.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

When you first walk into Rivermac, you will find yourself speechless. The home is open yet cozy and so tranquil when you open the doors to the deck and hear the Toccoa River rushing by. So peaceful and relaxing. The decor is wonderful and the home is perfectly clean. Toss in the hot tub and the wood burning fireplace and true perfection is reached. Lory and Ed are wonderful hosts, always concerned that you are pleased. I am so grateful that they have opened up their home to share with the lucky ones who spend time in this amazing place. The only time I was disappointed was when I had to leave!Did you find this review helpful? Rivermac far exceeded all of our expectations for our weekend mountain getaway. This cabin is perfectly appointed along the Toccoa river, and from the second you pull up you know you are in a very special place. The owners have thought through every detail and it is evident all over their home. The decor, architecture, and view are like something out of a magazine. The home is warm, clean, and so comfortable. We never left during our time there and loved every minute of it. If you want a unique mountain getaway, this is the place for you. We are already planning our next trip back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

What an incredible joy it was to spend time at Rivermac it is truly a restful and spiritual place. The home is spacious and well appointed...exactly the experience we were hoping for. We prefer contemporary and light-filled environments that truly allow you to experience the outdoors from inside every room and Rivermac did not disappoint! It truly felt like our "home away from home." If you're seeking a relaxing getaway with a modern touch then Rivermac is the place for you. It is so conveniently located and we simply ran out of time to see all the local sites. Was very easy to prepare most of our meals at the house and enjoy special meals filled with conversation while listening to the river nearby. Truly amazing and are counting the days until our return!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Wow! Our family had a wonderful vacation at RIVERMAC! The home was beautiful, such attention to detail and views of the Toccoa river from every room! Lory and Ed were perfect hosts, we had everything we needed! We loved the location of the home. The river was perfect and we tubed everyday right in front of the house! Within walking distance of the house is a great place called Lilly Pad Village. While we sipped coffee the kids mined for gems and played mini-golf. Downtown Blue Ridge is also very close with great restaurants, shopping and the Blue Ridge Train. We spent a lot of time sitting on the balconies of the house. This was a perfect place to clear your mind while listening to the river. We enjoyed our meals outside on the balcony as well as reading, playing board games and enjoying the hot tub! A vacation at RIVERMAC can be total relaxation or full of fun activities. In our case, it was both and we will be back! We have already recommended this house to friends!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

Rivermac was great! Our two teens enjoyed the downstairs that included their bedroom, bathroom and pool table. It was too hot to enjoy the hot tub, but we had fun tubing on the Toccoa River. The house was very clean and the firepit by the river was a nice addition.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We were looking for a long weekend getaway and found Rivermac to be the perfect place! From the very beginning, Lory and Ed were so informative and accommodating to us! We had everything we needed--both inside and out! The cabin is very easy to access, around 8 miles from downtown Blue Ridge. Often times we enjoyed just staying there versus going out. The view of the Toccoa River was amazing, especially in the mornings sitting on the deck drinking coffee. It didn't take long for my husband to fall right back to sleep listening to the water and basking in the sun! Very relaxing! The cabin has a modern feel which we loved. It was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We could not have asked for anything more! We had a wonderful time staying at Rivermac! Lory and Ed were gracious hosts! Look forward to going again soon!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2

Our Memorial Day holidays could not have been any more delightful !! After staying at the Moosemac cabin at the same time last year, we decided to stay down by the river at Rivermac. We were as impressed this year as we were last - and we're planning on coming back soon...Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
