The Wilmes Farmhouse is a 1900's farm home that has been newly renovated. The original oak trim and hardwood floors remain intact and add to the rustic feel of the farm home. It offers beautiful views from the front porch swing and throughout the home. Tranquil sunsets can be viewed from the adjoining balcony. The large shade trees are perfect for picnics. The home is suitable for single families or groups.
After a day at Holiday World, hiking, antiquing, or sightseeing the farmhouse is a peaceful place to relax. Children and adults alike will enjoy. A stay in the farm house will be a memory no one will soon forget.

We recently stayed at the Wilmes Farmhouse since our family was all getting together in the area. We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and the furniture was comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Wilmes Farmhouse to anyone wanting to stay in this area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse! Plenty of room for us - there were 11 of us including three 4-year olds. The kids loved the dollhouse upstairs and enjoyed playing at the farm. Bedrooms were comfortable and well decorated. Perfect location close to Holiday World. Very clean, and lots of modern touches .Loved the front porch area with swing! It is so relaxing and peaceful. We would totally recommend staying here and we will definitely stay again. The boys loved watching the men on the bobcat across the road cleaning the barns and watching the tractors. Plenty of space for everyone and just a very nice place! The cows woke us each morning and even the brown dog greeted us both mornings. Thanks for having us!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and I, which was a total of 13 people, stayed at the Wilmes Farmhouse while we went to Holiday World and our stay was excellent! There was plenty of room for everyone and we were very comfortable while staying there. This is the closest we have ever stayed to Holiday World, which was really nice! We plan on staying again when we visit Holiday World!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We stayed here during a weekend trip to Holiday World; it was only a 10-minute drive each way. 2 families with 3 children stayed very comfortably. The property was clean and well-maintained. The listing and photos are very accurate. The other family had never stayed at a VRBO home before and they were very impressed. Our children - especially the two 3-year olds - loved visiting with the cows daily. We were pleasantly surprised in the morning when Lilli, the dog, was on our porch. The children loved played with her too. Our son discovered the doll house on our last night; however, he had a different name for it other than "dollhouse." He played with it before bedtime and in the morning asked if he could play with it more before leaving to head home. Thank you for opening up your home to us.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Lovely home inside. Had a wonderful stay before our visit to Holiday World. The kids both loved the cows that were right up at the fence line when we pulled in for our evening stay. The house was a perfect fit for seven adults and two children.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

We recently stayed at the farmhouse and it is exactly as it's described in the add. The owner was very easy to work with and she made every effort to make sure that our needs were taken care of. The location was very easy to find and we would describe the house as charming and very comfortable for all of us (ages ranged from 3 to 69). The very short trip to Holiday World provided us with all the fun we needed and it is was very relaxing to come back to the Williams Farm after a day at the park! We all said that we would have to come back to both the farm and HW next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house was just as described! We pulled up to the house and there were cows almost in our front yard. The kids loved it, it was their first time seeing cows that close. The inside of the house was great, beautifully updated and decorated. The kiddos ran around like they were at home. All essentials were made available, we packed way more than we needed to because this house had it all. There were enough beds for all of our group. It was a great place to end our 2 days at Holiday World. We will use again when we come back.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house is great. Due to a freak heat wave, we found out how well the a/c works. It has easy access to I-64 for the sake of going to Louisville, to Evansville, or to New Harmony. I look forward to staying there again. My group of four adults enjoyed having individual bedrooms, but a larger group would have adequate space, too.Recommended for: Sightseeing.

Our nephew is studying at St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology. We drove over from Missouri for our first visit. Given the number in our party we looked for an option to hotel rooms and found Wilmes Farmhouse. The home has been beautifully updated and has a number of great amenities. Gina was a joy to deal with. For those families that may be looking to visit young seminarians at St. Meinrad, put Wilmes Farmhouse at the top of your list. But the Farmhouse is a wonderful option for those looking for a great location for family reunions, girls getaway weekends, Holiday World visits, leisure vacations, and so much more. The home exceeded our expectations in every way!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

My mom, two sisters and me were there for a long weekend and very much enjoyed this house. As stated in the previous reviews, the bedrooms were big and the walk-in closets were spacious. The house was clean and the owners provided everything but the food. Loved the leather couches that kick back, so relaxing. We had trouble trying to start a DVD we had brought with us on the plasma TV, never did get that going (maybe instructions would be helpful) and finally ended upstairs in the big bedroom to watch it. We went to Monkey Hollow Winery in St. Meinrad's and taste tested wine, very nice. This place is central to a lot of attractions and coming back every night to this welcoming farmhouse was glorious. We highly recommend this place. Connie, Donna, Jean and JackieRecommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
